    Greetings to all Moonlighters, my friends, my soompi family, my comrades in battle. After we watched last night episode, we know that our beloved characters are in grave danger. And there is no other way for us to help them but wishing them the very best, to be safe and wishing every single one of them will survive till the very end. And I know despite our differences we have one thing in common! Therefore I welcome you to the World of Imagination where all our wishes & hopes can be visualized in the form of a drawing. A very simple drawing indeed. This battle drawing will be my last one for this thread since our beloved drama will soon come to an end and unfortunately our time together as well. I'm a little sad despite knowing there are still a few more days left for us but I rather present my ultimate mental wishes for MDBC which is to have the ultimate happy end and that it will be known as one of the Greatest Korean Love Story of All time (personally I think its already is)  

    After carefully studying our battle location, I have taken the step to formulate a perfect strategy based on what I've read in books or see in a movie. I would like to present you my version of The Final Battle Strategy for The Army of Moonlighters

    Lure the enemies and surround them with no escape route!

    The ultimate war strategy from Admiral YiSun, after all, what better way for an opening gambit battle and to win a Korean-drama war than by using a Korean commander's strategy.

    Blue Team with Napoleon Battle Austerlitz Formation from 1805 also known as Battle of the Three Emperors

    One of The Greatest Battle in Europe led by Napoleon Bonaparte. I have chosen this formation for the Blue Team, that I will personally lead in battle. I know I got nothing on the 3 Great Generals in The Red Team, but by DramaGod I will make sure that we will have the power of numbers on our side! I do not know what to call myself and I don't consider myself as a leader, after all I am just one of you, but it would be cowardly of me to talk this big and not put my life on the line besides my comrades. @xoxgossipgirl Master of Archery will be my second in command to lead the ranged battalion. We are under significant pressure to protect several people, so we will reserve our energy until we are absolutely certain that our allies have successfully struck fear into the hearts of our enemies so that we can strike at the perfect time. This is the decisive battle so it is crucial to preserve our resources and spring into action at the critical moment. Brothers and sisters, the battle ahead will be tough and not all of us might survive this battlefield, some of our beloved drama-characters may not make it out alive, but through all of this we are one, one mind, one force, all for the greater good.     So I had to look it up and I don't know if I should post this because it will send some of my fellow Moonlighters to YeongOn heaven but:

    We know the spindle from fairy tales like Sleeping Beauty but the spindle has a deeply esoteric meaning as well. In Sleeping Beauty the Princess is waiting in her sleep for the man to find her and to wake her up with his true love and a kiss. Many sources say that with the kiss the Princess woke up and became a woman, marrying the prince at the end of the fairy tale. So even though the spindle is considered as a evil object - because the princess pricked her finger on the spindle and fell into deep sleep there is also a whole different meaning to it.

    "It is also seen as a passage to sexual adulthood. The spindle, according to Bruno Jockel, can also be a male symbol directly implying sex."

    and:

    "[...] the sleep is symbolic of the wait for sexual fulfillment. It comes at the end of childhood and is a way to prepare Brier Rose for a later "sexual union." (Bettelheim, p. 232) She spends these years withdrawn and in inner reflection. The sleep may delay her eventual sexual maturity, but in the end, it will happen and with as much glory as ever."

    I'm NOT saying that Lee Yeong and Ra On had sex after this scene but I think if PD-nim and writer-nim understand the meaning of the spindle - and by putting it right in front of the shot I think it's clear they do - and knowing they can't go with the hot scenes from the novel this is their subtle way of telling us whatever it is between Lee Yeong and Ra On there is definitely more between them then just kisses and a sweet little touch here and there.

    1 more week and we have to say goodbye to our beautiful otp, just thinking about it it makes me feel so sad  :bawling: i really hope that with the success of the drama, BG and YJ will launch a CF deal together, or at least have a couple photoshoot. Also even though the drama doens't have a 30% rating, they will still be invited for guerilla date

    There are so many symbolisms interspersed throughout this episode - the half-moon, Chief Eunuch Han's words about how knots that are impossible to untangle must be cut without hesitation (i.e. referring to Yeong and Raon's impossible relationship, which also consequently leads up to Yeong cutting the eternity bracelet with RO's knife).

    Speaking of which, I noticed that during the scene when Yeong and Raon had their confrontation and Yeong saying that he understood what Raon's true intention was by suddenly declaring her hate for Yeong's father (the king), Yeong cried from his left eye, and soon after, Raon did too - but interestingly, from her right eye.

     

    Don't you guys think there's just something so poignant about this scene? It's though as if the writers want to emphasize on the idea that Yeong and Raon are each other's halves - that they're each other's eyes. One is crying for the other. Yin and Yang. I don't know whether this is intentional or PBG and KYJ are just that good, but I have to applaud the production team once again for the depth and quality of each episode. If I didn't know that they're currently live shooting, I wouldn't have thought that they're pressed for time at all. 

    So kudos to all mdbc crews! Keep up the good work!

    Crossing my fingers tomorrow's episode won't be too cruel for my heart. We're having thanksgiving dinner tonight and I bet all my relatives would be bombarding me with questions as to why I look like a panda :vicx:

    agree with u so much!!! despite being a sad scene, this has officially become one of my top YeongOn moments because it shows how beautiful and selfless their love is, and how they can throughoutly understand each other. Kudos to the production team and let's give a big standing ovation esp to both BG and YJ. It's their awesome acting that makes me feeling so emotionally invested in this drama. just thinking that the finale is next week makes me so sad, i'm gonna miss them so much :bawling:

    just wait until ep 15 subs is out and then watch the scene when RO talked with her mom, it will give the light to everyone who has been harsh on RO's action towards LY. To sum it up, she said to her mom that she had something to do before she left, that she had to let that person(LY) go so that he could live well without her, so that he wouldn't feel guilty when someone replaced her :bawling:
