It is to much for me right now don't like where it is going, so I am not watching but reading recaps until it get's better.

I am quite sure others do that from time to time. Especially during the most vexing periods. 
I am doing it for 'Lost'. It is unceasingly  dark and depressing for me. I stopped reading a Joyce play for the same reason.

same here! I didn't watch last week's episodes and have been dragging my feet on catching up. seems easier to just watch the previews. hahahahah....

Maybe Gemma will find a stronger, richer and more powerful man than KS. Somehow, I don't sense any chemistry between Gemma and KS.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm actually really enjoying this drama - I've often said they can't keep up this 2 episode create/resolve crisis pace, but we're almost halfway through and somehow they're still doing it.  With that said, now that HS has effectively outed the fake son (...again in 2 episodes ) something has to give that can't be reset - Now that HS knows HK was behind the fake, how would he or anyone else in their right mind marry into that?  Also, once Grandma gets over the shock of losing the grandchild she thought she had ( I think she actually blamed Gemma for what she believes is a fake DNA test ... need subs) Grandma should demand HS abandon Hye-Bin, and give a wronged Gemma permission to wed KS ... thats if she doesn't leave him (again) next episode. 

 

Yeah, it may not have outlandish dressers, plastic sword fights, or funny housekeepers, but I still like it WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than Miss MonteCristo - just saying

You really shouldn't - yes it is indeed, "unceasingly  dark and depressing" but OMG is it so good - I barely made it through the first episode, but now I'm captivated - for all its darkness, its masterfully done.  At the start I didn't think I'd like it, but I do.

My faint heart can't take all the angst. I think the ML will kill himself just like his friend. In the West they are called gigolos aren't they? Maybe the woman will join him.  There are enough recaps to keep me updated.
 

I can't say if this is worse or better than Miss M. Very similar from the unmaternal villain to the friend/daughter. There was the brother in Miss M and there is a brother here. The FL in both shows threaten revenge for many episodes. I hope Gemma is strong enough to not kill herself after HK jumped off the bridge. 

edit: HS is still going to marry HB? Yes it looks like Loan shark grandma refuses to give up the fake grandson. Maybe because she's old. If her grandsons are at least 30-35 and she got married early, she should be closer to 80. So she is easily fooled now.

Hopefully the Writer/PD-nim won't be that bent - The ML already saved her from killing herself, I'm hoping he helps the FL  find her worth by exposing the fake writer, and bring her back the recognition stolen from her, and in doing so, he finds a goodness in his life and he leaves the escort service completely ... preferably with her (No, don't care that she's older - thats the least of their problems)

@LeftCoastOppa I’m with ya. I’m enjoying this drama as well. Although my outbursts were uncontrollable at Grandma and the fit she threw over the kid being gone. I was really wishiing they would have called a dr. to inject her with a tranquilizer. That was quite a fit she threw over a kid she thought was fake in the beginning.

there is  not much difference.

 

Both ML's are so uninspiring - my next description is blah - the SMLs are the fun ones. The FMLs are more or less equal. 'Revenge, revenge, but ...'

Good thing about Gemma is she does not hiss her threats but then she doesn't do much. Apart from posting the plagiarism note once, it has always been reaction.

No difference to me.

 

The hard nosed cold  LS grandma is now a besotted grandma raving about her flesh and blood. That's like changing EJ's New mum into a dementia-inflicted woman. Same and more of the same.

No I am not, blah and boredom is expected from TV shows so I am watching this. I even zip through Amor Fati which is similar to the Man in a veil in terms of  ranking imho. 

Hometown cha cha cha is unadulterated sweetness so far. Now the SML and the FL's parents are in town, there seems to be sourness gathering. 
 

But 'Lost' is like 'Wuthering Heights' , no relief until the end.

The storyline is starting to thin with this continued focus on the "oath" - to ask about it ... okay - to start to obsess about it 20 YEARS LATER ... ridiculous. 

 

- As has already been mentioned, the statute of limitations has run out

 

- There has been no attempt at extortion in 20 years

 

- There has been no police follow up in 20 years, until recently, but thats due to Gemma not Tae Gil, and the Chairman knows it.

 

- The fact that they even recognize each other 20 years later - across a room, at a nursing home opening no less - its a stretch

 

If all this is to put pressure on the growing love interest with Auntie, its weak ...

 

 

... and HK needs to turn the volume down on that WAY PINK outfit ... damn that was loud.

kept thinking that she will end up on the road and some truck of doom will run towards her but because of that hideous pink alert coat, the driver will see through the fog and stop?.....

Me no like it. An ex con sleeping in his sister's living room should not be dating any woman. Esp. a desparate one. He should focus on getting his own place. He must be close to forty in this show. The woman was quite obnoxious in the first few episodes, then she was like a prop for many more. Now they give her a story, romance with TG?  She seems smart and rich enough to start a nursing home.
 

The last few episodes have been so boring. It's almost midway and we had been given so many revelations, 3 attempted murders, so it's flashbacks and arguing time.

 

I knew it, the first breakup. The guy is like Tae Poong. 'Revenge is terrible, stop it', I think Miss M is better at this moment. 
 

Did they turn a classy restaurant into a chicken place?

An ex con? Did I fast fwd through a prison sentence? When did Tae-Gil go to prison?  And so what if he's living with his sister - Soo-Yeon still lives with her brother, yet she's rich enough to start her own nursing home ... oh and why label her desperate? Lonely? sure - Desperate? ... don't think so.   The 1st & 2nd couples can't get it together, so I'm gonna enjoy the 3rds

Its no surprise, but you had to know it was coming, whats surprising is it took so long.  Miss M better? If you're talking ML oppas, then Miss M only wins because Uni Oppa felt responsible for what happened and was willing to fall on his sword for it, otherwise he would've tried to stop her too.

Ex conman, dropped the man, he absconded with the money when he could have made many lives easier.

I think sleeping on the living room floor is a wee different than the room Auntie has. But to each his own.

 

I want to see him sacrifice his interests just once to believe that he has joined decent if flawed sister, Gemma etc. Else he is still the selfish creep who lost the ill gotten money. Came home with empty pockets.

 

edit: HS and HB? How long do we have to watch them? 
If they make her some sort of Pollyana, I might get annoyed but will still like her. But she's a conniving snob like her mother. Untalented. I hope Gemma is honest with her opinion about those designs. They look awful.
