Watch: Kim Go Eun And GOT7’s Jinyoung Can’t Stop Crying After Filming Emotional Scene For “Yumi’s Cells 2”

Yumi’s Cells 2” has shared a new glimpse behind the scenes of filming!

Spoilers for Episodes 9 and 10

The new behind-the-scenes video begins with Block B’s P.O filming his first scenes as new character Control Z. After cracking up everyone on set with a successful take of a humorous scene that takes place inside Yumi’s mind (in which Yumi beats up the infuriating Control Z), P.O hilariously jokes, “The director didn’t tell me there’d be anything like this during our meeting.”

After P.O introduces himself and his character to the camera, the clip moves on to Kim Go Eun playfully complaining to Jinyoung about his character Babi developing feelings for Da Eun (Shin Ye Eun‘s character). Jinyoung then rebukes his own character by saying, “[Viewers] won’t be able to understand Babi[‘s actions]. Who could understand him doing that? When Yumi is this good to him? How could anyone understand him?”

He adds, “I was watching [Kim Go Eun] film, and it made me sad. Yumi decorated this and prepared a cake and did all of this, but in spite of all this, she has to say, ‘Let’s break up.’ Imagine how she must feel.”

Later, Kim Go Eun and Jinyoung film their emotional breakup scene, and both actors shed real tears as they get caught up in the story. Even after the cameras stop rolling, Jinyoung struggles to contain his emotions as he furiously blinks back his tears, and Kim Go Eun is unable to stop crying as she wipes her face before monitoring their takes.

Ahn Bo Hyun also makes his grand return to the drama in the video, and he shares an adorable hug with Kim Go Eun to celebrate their reunion. The crew also jokingly congratulates him on his character having become successful in the story.

Finally, the video ends with unreleased behind-the-scenes footage from previous episodes before teasing that many changes will take place in the relationships between the characters next week.

Chingus! Time to take some tough decisions. The heart and mind are conflicted and there is no clear answer.

There's a new poll to bide our time while we wait to see what happens in our beloved Yumi's life. Woong seems to genuinely trying to woo her. It will be interesting how Babi plays his cards. He is back so he must be back to win Yum's heart again.

What do you think of the love-triangle at this juncture of the drama? Do you want a Season 3 and the story to unfold as it did it in webtoon?

I have not read it but I know the story thanks to all the spoilers I have been reading.

Who are you betting on? :piggydance:

Two hot , handsome and rich guys chasing a beautiful woman- stuff we women dream of!

Tagging chingus, please vote in the new poll. :fullofhearts:

5 Life Lessons We Can All Learn From Episodes 9-10 Of “Yumi’s Cells 2”

It seems as though things have taken a drastic turn in the recent episodes of “Yumi’s Cells 2.” The emotional toll that this series has taken on its fans has been draining, but there is still the hope that Yumi (Kim Go Eun) will find happiness. Here are five life lessons we learned from episodes 9 and 10 of “Yumi’s Cells 2.”

: Spoilers for episodes 9 and 10 ahead!

1. Don’t swear at someone you work with

When Ahn Dae Yong (Jeon Suk Ho) tells Yumi that he has found an illustrator for her web novel, Yumi meets the illustrator who goes by the name of Control Z (P.O). Yumi tries to be nice but finds it difficult to do so because he seems a bit abrasive and rude. She tries to be understanding, giving him the benefit of the doubt, but Control Z knows how to push all of Yumi’s buttons, making her frustrated.

Screen-Shot-2022-07-08-at-7.40.28-PM.png

Yumi’s anger ends up interrupting her sleep, and especially with Control Z messaging her on her phone and commenting on her social media accounts, Yumi gets to a point where she wants to rip her hair out. She gets to several points where she wants to swear at him and tell him off, igniting her deep hidden swearing cell to make an appearance. As she is about to get upset at Control Z, she musters up all her rationality and decides that it is not in her best interest to swear at him as she needs him to illustrate her book. It is wise to not jeopardize or tarnish the relationship you have with a colleague, especially if you want to continue working with them.

2. Sometimes you have to put yourself first

Yumi flies to Jeju Island to spend Christmas with Babi (Jinyoung). When she gets there, she sees that there is a realtor showing Babi’s house to some potential buyers. Yumi is surprised to find out that Babi is putting the house up for sale. When she asks him about it, he says that he wants to live closer to the office. Low and behold, later that evening Yumi bumps into Da Eun (Shin Ye Eun). When Yumi tells her that Babi is moving, Da Eun gets so shocked and upset that she reveals that she confessed her feelings to Babi. Understanding the situation, Yumi realizes that Babi is moving away because he does not want to come in contact with Da Eun, possibly because he felt swayed by her confession. When Babi returns home from work that night, Yumi asks Babi if his feelings were swayed when Da Eun confessed, to which Babi could not respond quick enough. And Yumi breaks up with Babi.

Spoiler

yumis-cells2.png

This was the most heartbreaking lesson in the recent episodes. Yumi had a list of dealbreakers when it came to boyfriends. When she was younger, this list was endless, but as she gets older, she realizes that she has to let some things go in order to have a relationship. Despite this, Yumi’s one dealbreaker is one that Babi breaks, and she knows deep down that it is non-negotiable. Yumi cannot be happy with Babi knowing that his feelings were swayed even for a second. In order for her to be happy, she knows she has to let him go. This is a monumental moment for Yumi and one that many people can learn from – sometimes you have to put yourself first. She did not want to jeopardize her happiness at the cost of staying with someone who no longer brought her joy.

3. Sometimes your primary cell doesn’t stay as your primary cell

When Yumi breaks up with Babi, she is filled with so much betrayal and anger that her love cell starts to transform into the incarnation of rage. Her other cells decide that Yumi’s primary cell must take a step back and that her secondary cell, which is the writing cell, should now become the primary cell.

This part was so well put together in the sense where it shows viewers that sometimes the things that matter most in life shouldn’t always necessarily stay a priority. Sometimes what we want most needs to take a backseat so that we can heal or figure ourselves out. Yumi’s love cell had taken quite the beating over the years after having gone through several failed relationships. She is sick and tired of being hurt and putting her trust in others, and now she knows that the best thing for her is to give up on love being her primary cell and instead focus on her work. She needs to do this in order to not be filled with bitterness and rage.

Spoiler

4. You never know where life will take you

We find out in episode 10 that Yumi’s ex-boyfriend Goo Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun) has become the CEO of a gaming company. He has successfully launched the game that he had been trying to launch for years, and he has become wealthy doing it. Yumi reunites with him by chance when Control Z gets an offer to work for Woong’s gaming company. Yumi and Woong both realize that they have both achieved their dreams.

Spoiler

yumis-cells-2-ahn-bo-hyun.png

Considering the fact that Woong had hit rock bottom when he and Yumi had broken up, it really shows how far life can take you with just a lot of perseverance and a few years. At one point, Woong was completely broke with his business having closed down, but a couple years later, he is now the CEO of his own gaming company. Similarly, Yumi was working at an office, writing for a company while she had a dream of becoming a writer. Now, she is a published author with another book on the way. A lot can change in the span of a couple years, and this can be a good lesson for those who are feeling like they are at their lowest point in life.

5. You can love again, even after heartbreak

In the newest episodes, we are able to get a glimpse into Woong’s cells again, and it is revealed that he has been harboring a lot of pain and heartbreak as a result of his breakup with Yumi. His love cell is visibly bruised and left with scars, unable to even think about loving someone again.

With all the pain that Yumi’s love cell and Woong’s love cell have endured, it seems that they will never love again. Despite this reality, it is discovered that Woong can love again as his love cell starts to heal. Just when you think that you’re out of luck when it comes to love, your feelings will surprise you. Woong’s determination and heart for Yumi are able to push him to possibly find love again. In other words, it’s possible if the opportunity presents itself. It shows how resilient love can be, and we see that it is always possible to love again, no matter how much of a beating our hearts have taken.

Kim Go Eun will find herself in a couple of awkward encounters in “Yumi’s Cells 2”!

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Yumi’s Cells” tells the story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi – from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head controlling her every thought, feeling, and action. Kim Go Eun plays the titular role of Yumi, an ordinary woman who struggles with expressing her feelings,

while GOT7’s Jinyoung stars as her charming co-worker-turned-boyfriend Yoo Babi.

On July 13, a special poster was revealed to hint at the upcoming direction Yumi’s life will take.

Spoilers

Previously, Yumi underwent a heart-wrenching breakup with Yoo Babi in order to chase after true happiness. The heartwarming moment in which she comforted the furious love cell also touched the hearts of many.

In the newly released poster, Yumi can be seen focusing fully on her path as a writer after becoming single. The caption reads, “I just… want to live happily, that’s all.”

However, not only does she run into her ex-boyfriend Goo Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun), who is now a successful game developer, but she also runs into Yoo Babi, who has returned from Jeju Island and now works at the Seoul branch again. Yumi’s responses to meeting her two ex-boyfriends are vastly different. While she’s obviously comfortable around Goo Woong, she seems rigid in front of Yoo Babi.

i adore Woong but it's a shame, Yumi want Babi

for preview next week final apparently the scene where Yumi is sick is the one before their breakup in the webtoon, so it could be an open ending with Soonrok only appearing at the end

I want Babi and Yumi together!!!  Hope we'll not get an opening ending if there isn't season 3.  I would like to believe Babi had learned his lesson with being overly chivalrous with ladies and that he truly loves Yumi to want them to be married.  Babi fighting!!!

I began watching Yumi's Cells less than 1 month ago. I just finished S2, Episode 7 now. (Hope I can catch up before this Friday!)

I have read some spoilers, enough to know the following after Ep.7:

  • Yumi breaks up with Babi
  • Yumi meets Woong again, and he has become successful
  • Yumi and Babi reunite, and Babi proposed to Yumi

Just some thoughts:

Team Woong or Team Babi?

When Yumi was with Woogi, he treated her as a doormat and she let him. Her Love Cell was dominant, and she always put her current boyfriend as her #1 priority.

Team Woong?

When she was coming close to breaking up with Woong, she finally learned to make herself #1 above the boyfriend. Conversely, at around the same time, Woong's #1 became Yumi. All his life, Woong's #1 priority was always himself. For the first time in his life, his girlfriend became more important than himself.

And having just seen Season 1, I really do love Yumi and Woong together. He geniunely loves her, he is a good person, and she really seemed to be comfortable and be 100% herself with him.

We find out in Season 2 that Woong's breakup with Yumi was a bit of noble idiocy - he didn't want to share his career struggles with her because he didn't want to burden her.

Obviously, it can be argued that it was a mistake, that couples should share all their struggles together, and the fact that he didn't was hurtful to Yumi and the cause of the end of their relationship.

But on the other hand, if Yumi stayed with Woong, she probably would have never quit her job and never pursued writing full time.

Team Babi?

Babi really seems to be a good person, and he really loves Yumi. He was also the first to recognize her writing talent, and he fully supports her dreams. They can connect via their shared interests in a way that Yumi cannot with Woong.

I know that Yumi broke up with Babi sometime after Ep.7. I'd have to get there to know how I feel about it, but I am going to assume that it was because Yumi put herself and her needs first. She learned to not settle for anything that doesn't feel right. If that's the case, then I will probably be okay with with her decision.

I haven't read the original webtoon. But based on what I've seen so far, I think the entire story is a journey of a woman learning her self-worth and pursuing both romance and her own life goals on her own terms. Each boyfriend, each relationship teaches her something valuable and she grows each time. The two boyfriends we've gotten to know well - Woong and Babi - are both decent men who loved her very much, and they each gave her valuable experiences.

So, Team Yumi. (Can't wait until this Friday!)

--

One last note: I'm sure this was covered before, but Yumi's boyfriend who dumped her - his name is: Ji Woogi (지우기). And Shinee's Minho is Chae Woogi (채우기), the good friend who fixed her up with Woong.

Ji Woogi (지우기 = eraser, to erase)

Chae Woogi (채우기 = to fill-up, to satisfy)

So the jerk ex-bf is someone who deserves to be "erased" from her life, and the good friend from work is the one who helped "fill her up" by introducing her to a nice guy. Clever.

5 Times Our Hearts Broke In Episodes 11-12 Of “Yumi’s Cells 2”

It seems as though this season of “Yumi’s Cells” is bringing all the pain and heartbreak. Yet again, viewers are faced with several heartbreaking situations that are brought into the world of Yumi and her cells. Here are five times our hearts broke in episodes 11 and 12.

Warning: Spoilers for episodes 11-12 ahead!

1. Seeing how much pain Babi has gone through

Jinyoung-3-800x800.jpeg

A couple of months after Yumi and Babi break up, Babi is given the choice to move back to Seoul from Jeju Island. He decides that he no longer wants to stay in Jeju as it is too painful for him. When he returns to Seoul, he bumps into Yumi at the local coffee shop, and there is a flashback to right after Yumi and Babi break up, and we are able to see just how difficult it was for Babi after the breakup.

Although Yumi is the one to break up with Babi and the story is told in Yumi’s perspective, you really start to sympathize with Babi here. We see how much pain he has gone through, and it’s really heartbreaking to see how down he has been. In particular, he says that he’s sick of everything, not really caring about much. He begins to regret everything he did and despises the beautiful views of Jeju Island.

2. Yumi breaking down after seeing Babi

At the coffee shop, Yumi keeps her distance from Babi, and she makes it a point to quickly say goodbye and leave. As she leaves the coffee shop, Babi calls after her and tells her that he missed her a lot. Yumi begins to remember why she broke up with him, so she tells him that she hasn’t missed him. But he responds by telling her that she’s lying and goes on to say that he hopes that she is lying and that she really does miss him.

At this point, Yumi’s cells experience an intense earthquake, implying that Yumi is feeling swayed by Babi’s words. She has a hard time keeping it together, and she ends up breaking down. Babi hugs her, and both of them cry together outside of the coffee shop. You can almost feel the intense amount of emotions flowing through both of the characters as they come face to face after not having seen each other for several months. The emotions are high, and they are clearly still in love with each other, which is so sad to see.

Spoiler

3. Woong getting his heart broken… again

After Yumi and Babi break down seeing each other at the coffee shop, the two decide to give their relationship another shot. This is obviously bad news for Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun) as he has taken it upon himself to try and pursue Yumi again after finding out she had broken up with Babi. Yumi decides that she has to tell Woong about getting back together with Babi, as she can see that he is trying hard to get back into her life.

Spoiler

ahn-bohyun-800x800.jpeg

There is only so much Woong can take in terms of having his heart broken by Yumi. Viewers have really come to sympathize with Woong in this season as it is obvious that he really loves her. Although it would be nice for Woong to have his chance, it seems as though Yumi has her heart set on Babi. It is heartbreaking to see him and especially his love cell go through so much pain!

4. Yumi finding out about Babi’s accident

Babi tells Yumi that he has to go on a three-week business trip to the United States. She is a bit upset because it is during his birthday, but she is understanding. In the first week he is there, Yumi finds that it’s difficult to get a hold of him, and he is constantly saying he is busy, unable to do video calls or chat for long. On his birthday, Yumi tries to video call him, but he tells her that he is too busy and declines the call. She goes outside to get some air and fatefully sees Babi inside of a cab at the traffic light. She follows him in another cab to his house where she goes into his house, expecting to get upset at him. But he reveals that he got into a car accident while on his way to the airport and did not have the heart to tell her about it.

Yumi seems to have her insecurities as she and Babi are now back together. She wonders why it’s so awkward around him and why they have to keep walking on eggshells around each other, and Babi having to go away for three weeks makes it worse. The confrontation in his house is so emotionally charged that it had me on the edge of my seat. Seeing how hurt Yumi was at the fact that Babi felt like he had to lie to her was just so painful. It was also sad to see how alone Babi felt in not wanting to be a nuisance to Yumi. The emotions conveyed by both characters are so raw and real that they couldn’t help but bring tears to our eyes!

5. Babi proposing to Yumi

In the midst of Yumi discovering that Babi had gotten into a car accident, the two share their feelings that they both have been feeling insecure since they got back together. They were both worried that the other had regrets when it came to them dating again, which led to them feeling uncomfortable around each other. The two cry and end up kissing, but in the midst of kissing and emotions soaring high, Babi proposes to Yumi.

For some reason, this proposal did not feel like an event to get excited about. It was heart-wrenching to see Babi propose to Yumi while the two were so emotionally vulnerable. There did not seem to be much rational thinking on both of their parts when this happened, which is probably why it was a bit sad. With the intensity of emotions being high for not only the two leads but also for the viewers, it is hard to say if they will see the proposal through. Here’s hoping that Yumi will find happiness with whoever she ends up with!

Just a little sad for this final:heartbreak::heartbreak:, i love, loved babi, but i understand Yumi, it's just her feeling

Anyway i love the cast of babi and Woong, two actors sexy, each of their character has loved Yumi but they no fit for her

they didn't show us Soonrok look, but i found on twitter his insta, he is just a actor rookie or no famous

apparently season 3 could come in a movie version and a new actor for SoonROK, no sure, we will wait a confirmation or not

But don't expet this in a near futur, because female lead, directors, writers are all busy with new projects
