@tok-soompi Your post cheered my shipper's heart  thanks for your insight.  I am new to both HJM and JHI, so i don't have a lot of insight to share. Any entertainment industry is full of scandals. Celebs whom we may think decent often turns out otherwise. They are supposed to keep their image up.  So I always keep that in mind, but in my short and incomplete observation of JHI through bts filming, interviews, travel vlog, and articles indicates that he is someone who possesses a strong sense of responsibility, grounded, and rather green/ innocent, similar to how HJM described him.  He has yet to be corrupted by the fame and power the world could offer.  Having his career bloomed when he is older helps him to be more grounded in life, I think.  In his NY travel vlog, there is an honest conversation between his friends and him that is touching. Essentially his unfamed friend is very grateful that even though JHI career had took off (and his not), JHI still treats him the same with kindness and respect and stays humble. They were in tears during their honest talk.  He also loves his family a lot...he kept wanting to share his travel experience through video calls with his family, but they blew him off a little. Lol

 

The fact that he was visibly nervous about the kiss scenes with HJM shows that he is still inexperienced , after all prior to OSN he only screen kissed SYJ ans KGE. Of course he would feel heart fluttering with these ladies, he hasnt done a hundred of times (i'm exaggerating) like seasoned actors would. Both in Pretty Noona and OSN, SYJ and HJM took the lead in most of their kiss scenes.  SYJ once said that she initiated the kiss because otherwise, he wouldnt dare to do it.  I love the fact that he never took advantage of the situation and only kissed as minimally required by the script. He checked in with HJM after the kiss to ensure she was ok.  Before filming their last kiss scene at the pharmacy, they discussed how to do it and he begged HJM to help him (with his puppy face)! Not because I think he can't kiss rather to figure out where is the boundary or to get permission.  It was very respectful and considerate of him. 

OSN must be very precious to him. He posted many HJM/OSN photos in ig that many of his fans were jealous. This is the guy who wears his feelings on his sleeve no matter how much he tried to hide.  I am more wondering about what is HJM's type. does HJM like a cute clean cut guy or gruff masculine kind of guy? Haha

 

I was surprised to have recently learned that he received many criticisms for taking Ji Hoo role in OSN.  So unfair to judge before the drama had even begun.  I am glad that he and HJM accepted it because they brought us joy.

@Chrc, thanks for all your thoughts and observations.  I am HJM die hard fans since her Rooftop Prince.  For me, i am always excited whenever she is with any new dramas / movies especially if their chemistry is superb. 

 

But if you run through the thread here, i have to really agree with many chingus here that JHI feels Mr Perfect fit to HJM apart from he is younger than her.  Ji Min has no issue with age.  I am just stating the fact only.

 

Yes, really agree that JHI late entry into industry probably help him to be more grounded.  Cos sadly and shockingly many of Ji Min's ex co stars whom we may never see them again due to scandal (i guess fame has cause their head malfunction).  JHI's travel vlog really demonstrate how earnest he is (he is really not very entertaining.. haha dont hit me if any fans read this, but i still enjoy it cos it feels so honest).

 

Why he is Mr Perfect?  Keke apart of his good look which Ji Min already said numerous time and is unimportant to Ji Min's ideal.  They have many similarilities.  I have posted 2 threads many threads back google search their ideal and both fits each other description well.  We even think that JHI's ideal description is Ji Min.  Haha!  But one thing i really like between them is the part that both loves their beer.

 

Not sure whether this ship will sail or not but i am not in a rush.  As i really hope they remain friends and increase the chance to know each other better.  Cos as a bias of Ji Min and to me she is very precious (i also find JHI treated him very preciously hee!), i wanted her to find a relationship where she can have a great loving family.  I will be very happy.  

 

I did not pay attention that Ji Min apologised to him.  But if so, she must has being considerate towards him.

 

P.s. i am hoping delusionally that one day i will receive a news showing JHI at Han River drinking beer with Ji Min.  Hee!

@tok-soompi thanks for HJM's ideal type. I am so glad to learn that age doesn't matter to her. Yay   i thought JHI's parents might oppose but sounds like his father dated and married to an older woman too.  The only obstacle that I see..and a big one actually is his career.  His popularity may take a hit if he announces a wedding.

 

I want HJM to have lots of babies since she is soooo good with kids and she isn't getting any younger.  Choi Ji Woo got married at the age of 42 or 43 with a guy 15 yrs younger! and she just had a healthy baby at the age of 45!  Not impossible. So whoever Ji Min dates in the future, i pray that he will date her with a marriage in mind. If you click and have a chemistry with someone and you are of matured age, no need to date too long, a year max. BAM!..let's make lots of babies.

I agree, JHI is well-mannered, respectful and down to earth. And yes, his vlogs were pretty boring but he looks and acts so innocent and it is interesting to watch something real.
I read some comments on one of JHI and HJM's videos. They said they feel JHi and HJM may have liked each other based on their interactions but due to the pressure or culture in the industry, being in a relationship may cause a downfall of the career. Esp. with JHI, he is still considered new to the business. I want to see him grow so I hope he will consider other genres.
Who knows, maybe they already went to Han River <wish,wish,wish>. I wish, hope , pray to hear news of their marriage 2-3 years from now. LOL. @Chrc yup lots of babies hahaha

It makes me happy whenever i read.  Suddenly I remember in vlive, he chose the mission, asking the other person "when did you look so pretty / handsome like this?"  The host said that she thought he chose this mission because he wanted to hear HJM's reply.

I almost shipped HJM with Hyun Bin while watching Hajina but when he dated other people I was really disappointed.  They didn't have any interaction with each other after the drama ended.  Many her old co-stars got into the scandal.  So, after all, I hope she will be happy with a good person.  And JHI is really fit to her  Lee Seo Jin is also really good. He also said that HJM is his best co-star and the closest actress to him. But I don't think she will date with LSJ  About Park Hyung Shik and Nam Joo Hyuk, I think they are too young to date with Ji Min.

@tok-soompi I tried to watch JHI's interviews with other leading ladies, and boy I just let it play while doing another thing lol. I found the conversation boring. His eyes and the whole aura did not light up. Or maybe I am JHI-HJM bias.

I am not an avid kdrama follower because I saw couple of drama series and I feel like the storylines are always the same lol. But when I watched OSN, it's refreshing. It tackled present issues in real life situations. Then JHI and HJM's acting were on point. Then I read comments about them being humble and kind-hearted people. Now I am supporting them, together or individually!

Anyways, did HJM date before? How about JHI?

I don't know about their dating life. So I can't answer that. I am technically a new fan too. Although I have seen HJM's earlier film The Age Of Shadow at TIFF (she was there at the 2nd screening I was at). At the time after I hadn't seen her other works, I have seen a bit more now.

Omo you can imagine me watching the interviews.  Haha!  

 

As Ji Min bias, i am lucky to watch many Ji Min great works especially recently she had it back to back non stop.  All feels it can be slice of my life or someone i know and can relate to.

 

Ji Min is very hush hush of her private life.  She publicly did inform us she got dumped during her very downtime (she is in hospital due to her drama wolf accident).  The guy sounds like non celebrity.  Then she mentioned she is not in a relationship for 3years in an interview at one of the variety quite a few years ago.

 

As for JHI, he mentioned in something in rhe rain press con he had a very serious relationship prior to but does not work out. 

 

Thats all i know for both of them.

Did you get to meet Han Ji Min there? Was it in Toronto? Wahhhh...lucky you.  I want meet her too.  

I'd like to watch the Age of Shadows but nowhere to be found.  I started watching Rooftop Prince but I couldn't finish it because PYC's scandal was on my mind while watching it.  Sorry..the scandal kinda ruined it for me.  The only reason I even started watching rooftop princess was to see HJM.  Ms. Baek is next on my list.

No at the time, I didn't know much about her. The main reason I saw the movie is I am a huge fan of Song Kang-Ho. I have seen a lot of his movies especially ones from Bong Joon-Ho. The second screening was after the premiere and it was the last day of festival. Sadly, I didn't stick around for the Q&A as I had to rush over to my next film. I have been watching more of her projects lately (so I also watched Hyde Jekyll Me and Miss Baek). I have her other recent shows on my list to watch when I get around to them

Haein : (smiling) I think it's a very good question. After my previous drama (STIR) that image of me was very strong that's why people think that way. To be honest in OSN I didn't particularly did anything about it. The script is the most important, I just concentrated on the lines and circumstances of the script. To say more, the circumstances of Ji Ho, he isn't free and we could even say he's kind of hiding in the pharmacy. I thought about way of expressing his circumstances and situation.
Of course he have many side of him, but because of a past traumatic event, he is scared of meeting someone new. I said he's hiding in the pharmacy. And that's how it start, when someone (Jeong In) enter the pharmacy. And because I focused on that while acting, naturally I looked more mature (laughing). It added responsibility and deepness.

Haein : (laugh & hesitate) I think this time, any words to describe it woulf be vague(?). I really, really like it. Also..(laugh, hesitate)..we talk a lot & contact each other a lot. We talk a lot about the script *look at Jimin*....*she looks at him and they smile shyly* ..and....we got really comfortable with each other. And because her personality is really cool (laidback) and she makes people really at ease, so I also acted more comfortably.

Jimin : To be honest, even if Haein ssi is younger than me. We didn't have a synopsis, so we began without knowing the age of our characters. 
But in this drama, in comparison of oser dramas, I received a lot of help during filming because he had already worked with the pd (APS). And there was a lot of staffs who had already worked with him too. So even before filming he had already told me a lot about it. So at some parts when I was wondering about things or when it took me longer to understand how the pd was today, Haein ssi came and gave me a lot of tips. So I filmed while receiving way more help from him than the other way. I became more at ease early. And we even talked about our pd without he knowing a lot(laugh). And that's why  I'm thankful of him(Haein) for a lot of things.

Haein : Because she acted a lot more than me and have way more experience. Earlier she said she received more help from me during filming, but the truth is I received more help acting wise. Even during NG. I'm the type to make a lot of NG, but she absolutely never make NG. And also she's a Sunbaenim and have more experience ao that's why I got a lot of help (he mean by watching her). Not how to act during filming but about what kind of mindset you need to be while filming, and I'm learning a lot while seeing her attitude. (//It's funny how embarrassed Jimin was while smiling //). And....to be honest while filming I didn't even think once that I was younger. And that's why I never called her Noona. (*Jimin laughing out loud* ) I never called her Noona or Sunbaenim, not even once. When the filming is ending, I'm thinking of calling her comfortably. Yes that's how it is (laugh).

Jimin : It's the same for me. Not just this drama, when I'm acting with a hubae I tend to think about the age of the characters rather than that they are younger. Rather than Sunbae-hubaes I think of them as colleagues. Haein ssi said ot nicely but the fact that we talked helps a lot. But for this filming, since I asked him about a lot of things, and earned a lot of tips, I depended a lot of him. 
And while acting with him, what I truly felt was that he was a lot more manlier than I thought before, and he has a strong leadership. And that's why I couldn't feel he was younger than me. And I think it's actually a really good thing (laugh)

Being private is a good way to protect their personal lives and relationships.
That's good that they both did not think of their age difference but on each other's personality. And how HJM depended a lot on JHI says a lot about his maturity as a whole. HJM is a sunbaenim and she depended on JHI who is a hoobae <am I right?>, that's HJM's confidence in JHI!

HJM said that she could depend on him, you are right that it says a lot about his character.  But JHI also said that he relied on her.  We see mutual care and reliance on each other , it's a beautiful foundation to a relationship/friendship, right? Some of the examples; 

- JHI's highly observant of HJM's need for water during vlive interview.  He quickly offered her the water

- he was so worried about her sipping a glass of wine. Almost looked like he was scolding her.  (Boyfriend like behavior) He said he should drink the wine instead of her. And even apologized for eating the cheese by himself.  

- HJM was worried whether he would hurt himself by lifting her the pretty way, by the waist. While at the same time, he was worried about hurting her in the process. Both kept asking if the other person was allright.  When HJM said that she should have skipped a meal so she wouldnt be so heavy, his response was "no..you must eat a lot to have energy".  Aigoo..these two..they were so cognizant of the other person's wellbeing.

 

What's interesting to me that Jung In-Ji Hoo's interactions appear to spill over to post-drama interactions. Sure..all those hand holding and attentiveness during the filming are a part of "immersing themselves in their respective role". But after the drama, they are no longer obligated to be that attentive. There had been 2 public events where both attended and sat together post drama. I noted the same closeness and attentiveness as during OSN. No awkwardness between them  and they are still looking out for each other greatly.  Ex:

- at the presidential award (dont know the exact award name) in oct 2019, i mentioned this before.  It was during one of the performances, It was dark.  hjm grabbed her unopened bottled water for drink but jhi quickly offered his bottle that had just been opened (he hadnt drink his). So they swapped bottle water. Seriously, he didnt need to do that!

- HJM looked out for him a few times at the same event.  When JHI got up to receive his award, he left his phone on the chair, and hjm grabbed it to ensure that his phone was secured.  

Then, when he came back to his seat, she directed him to place the award on the table in front. I dont know why but this cracked me up. This feels totally like Jung In-Ji Hoo's or Boyfriend/girlfriend's interaction.  

Another time, jhi rubbed his leg (not sure what he was doing to his pant/leg/or something) and hjm, obviously paying close attention, inquired about it. He had the biggest grin and almost leaned on her shoulder. Another intimate time is when she showed him something from her phone and both were laughing.   They were at times appear to be in their own world. 

I love to see that they continue to care and be attentive to one another even after OSN ended. If they are only good friends now, that's great because it could grow into best friends or even lovers one day. Afterall, HJM needs time in order to fall in love.
