Yeah, the difficulty with this series is I can't do any sneak peeks on the story since it isn't based on any novel out there, so it's hard to predict if it will be a happy ending. The opening and ending credits are also unreliable since they show events out of order...

 

Alright, recap for Ep 11 (rewatching them in double time is kind of amusing):

Qing Yao says "Since you want so much to know, here you go." And shows Yuan Zheng going dark and killing his own troops, with a special feature of his weapon being used to horrific effect. The report shows Yuan Zheng asking Jiu Chen to keep it from his family and to protect them before he kills him. Qing Yao rubs salt in the wound by telling them they asked for it. Jiu Chen carries Ling Xi home while Tian Lei smirks in a corner at the Yuan family, bastard that he is.

 

Qing Yao says Ling Xi's internal damage could halt her cultivation at Earthly Immortal. Everyone starts leaving or dragging the others out so that Jiu Chen can be alone with Ling Xi.

 

Yun Feng runs after Qing Yao and tries to sweet talk her, but she's gone by the time he turns around. Shisan yells at Si Ming for not coming to her rescue like she would have if he had been in similar trouble. He tells her it would have been foolish and was smarter for him to go for help. She says it's not foolish when you like someone. They get into a funny exchange about how it figures that he would be like everyone else and not like her for the fact that she used to have whiskers. He denies it and says it's just that they don't match, and when she asks how, replies that their heights don't match and it's tiring for him to lift his head to talk to her. In the end he tells her he just doesn't feel that way about her and wants to be friends.

 

Apparently she changed from male to female because she really really liked Si Ming. But she tells him not to worry and that she would stop running after him. She asks if he would help her instead and let her see what human females are like and he agrees. After he leaves, she pulls out a book on Love for Mer People lol. Was it all an act?

 

Du Yu comes ask Jiu Chen to help Yuan Tong out. Du Yu admits that he stopped Yuan Tong from revealing the truth.

 

Ling Xi tries to pretend she's still asleep but he tells her to stop. He gives her a pill and she complains there's only one. He tells her there were only three in existence and this is the last one and she tries to squirrel it away instead of taking it. He whizzes it back to his hand and tells her to take it immediately so she does, and her bruises fade away. She tells him what happened and he scolds her for risking her life for the report. She says she was about the burn the report but when Yuan Tong came after her she wasn't going to give in without a fight. She tells Jiu Chen she's not going to forgive Yuan Tong that easily, so he asks if she wants Yuan Tong to get the same treatment and be pushed into the Immortal Cleansing Pool. Ling Xi is taken aback and says she just wants her to be punished by bowing to her and sincerely apologizing, not being allowed to eat anything but wind and dew for a hundred years. Plus she has to give Ling Xi all her treasure as repayment for her loss. Jiu Chen starts laughing before he makes himself stop and then takes her with him to see Yuan Tong.

 

He tells Yuan Tong he knows what she did and has been aware of what she's up to, and that she led her family to its end. He tells her she's too young, stupid and impulsive, and has wasted the last 50000 years in her position in the army without learning anything meaningful. He asks if she accepts that he is going to remove her last 50000 years of cultivation and she says she does. Jiu Chen begins removing it until Ling Xi nudges him for leniency. He tells Yuan Tong to start again at the bottom as a gate guard. Then he tells her to apologize to Ling Xi, and that she's not allowed to eat for a hundred years, and all her spoils from when she was deployed at the Northern Sea should be given to Ling Xi as payment for the harm she did. Yuan Tong does NOT look happy. After they leave, Ling Xi starts giggling too.

 

Cheng Yan goes looking for herbs and pulls out a knotweed fairy yelling that he's pulling out her hair. He takes her back to the Peach Forest, telling her she's safer with him, since knotweed is quite sought-after for enhancing wine.

 

Qing Yao advises Jiu Chen not to use his abilities, as each time he does, the chill spreads again, which is the reason why his illness has been lingering. She suggests that they could seal his abilities so that he can't use them but he kills the idea with a look. When she leaves he starts to tell Jiu Chen he's fallen for her but Jiu Chen has walked off.

 

We see Qing Yao drinking in the Peach Forest and thinking of a lost husband.

 

Lei Tian suggests to the Heavenly Monarch that the Yuan Family be punished to the full extent of the law, just like the Lie Yi clan, and Du Yu asks for mercy.

Ep. 12

Du Yu begs for mercy, but Tian Lei says Yuan Zheng was responsible for the death of 10000 troops, so should be punished severely. Jiu Chen says he is responsible for not preventing Yuan Zheng's fall, and he is the one who killed the troops. The Heavenly Monarch agrees to let Yuan Tong's punishments suffice, and decrees that Jiu Chen should be punished with 7 lightning strikes. Yuan Tong runs to the execution and cries. Jiu Chen collapses after the seven strikes.

 

Qing Yao comes out of Jiu Chen's rooms to let his concerned friends and allies know that because he used a lot of his immortal strength, his cold illness has relapsed aggressively. With no alternative, she sealed his immortal powers for 49 days. So for 49 days he will be just like a mortal person. Bai Shan reminds everyone to keep quiet about it, since the God of War will have enemies that may take advantage of his weakness.

 

Ling Xi stays with Jiu Chen, and when she sees he's cold, she shuts all the windows and doors and fans the blaze for seven days and nights till the room feels like an oven. Jiu Chen finally wakes up and feels like he's been poisoned, and realizes he's getting carbon dioxide poisoning because Ling Xi has sealed the room too well.

 

Yu Li comes to visit Jiu Chen with a gift, making sure to ridicule Ling Xi and tell her not to have any thoughts about Jiu Chen, before presenting him with a special lamp that is supposed to help with his cold illness. She makes lame excuses for her father snubbing Jiu Chen before, and offers to come and treat him in Qing Yao's place, but he refuses, makes like he's tired, and gets rid of her.

 

He dozes off while sitting, and Ling Xi also dozes off as she watches the kettle boil. Jiu Chen wakes and amuses himself watching her wobble around and fall over then pretends he wasn't. He gives her the lamp, telling her that since it's of fire, it would be beneficial to her cultivation. While she's sleeping, red rays creep out and seem to fight with her stone pendant's protection. Meanwhile, dark energy seeps out from behind her ear into the lamp.

 

Zhong Hao pledges his services to the Demon Lord, who gives him his weapon. Zhong Hao commands Hei Chi to find a girl who was lost in You Dou Mountain 50000 years ago. Her body contains the strength of the demon and is needed for the demon lord to break free.

 

Chi Bi reports to Jing Xiu that Zhong Hao is alive, has gone to the dark side, and sought help from the Han Shan tribe, and has received the demon sword. The demon sword is incomplete, so it's unclear how powerful it is, but it will make it harder to capture him. He also reports that the Demon Lord has tasked Zhong Hao in searching for a girl from 50000 years ago. Jing Xiu puts two and two together and wonders if it's Ling Yue's daughter.

 

Ling Yue fondles the flute again and tells her dead husband their daughter is alive. Granny Shi comes to comfort her and we find out that her husband Mo Huan was also of the same tribe as Ling Xi and Le Bo. There are few of the tribe left, so they are optimistic they will be able to find her.

 

Ling Yue visits Le Bo and it turns out Mo Huan is Le Bo's shidi (junior disciple - ie like a younger brother). She tells him Mo Huan has been avenged, and apologizes for not having told him sooner.

Ep 13.

Cheng Yan comes upon his shifu Le Bo drinking his sorrows away and finds out that his uncle (in disciple terms) died 50000 years ago because he was in a forbidden love. (Note: it looks like he was killed Ling Yue's father Yuan Du for falling in love with her, probably why she says that he has been avenged.) 

 

Jiu Chen can't quite get used to living like a mortal, having to get up and blow out candles. He goes out for a walk and forbids Ling Xi to follow him but she does anyway. She either disappears or turns into a rock every time he turns around but he knows she's there.

 

Yun Feng plays cupid and prevents Shisan from going after them. It starts to rain and Ling Xi tries to talk Jiu Chen into going home but he just tells her not to follow him again as he wants some quiet.

 

Jiu Chen is back in charge but Tian Lei is absent, with Zi Guang making his excuses. He gives Han Zhang Yuan Tong's position as General of the Guards. Kai Yang is assigned to continue training the troops. Zi Guang is called back and is put under Kai Yang's command and his deputy put his place. Fang Sheng is tasked with searching out the demon tribe remnants.

 

Qing Yao comes to remove the seal on Jiu Chen's power. While Yun Feng waits outside, Ling Xi asks him if anyone could get physically close to a Greater God if they didn't allow it. He says no, which leads to Ling Xi wondering if what she saw in the crystals meant that Jiu Chen allowed her to kiss him.

 

Qing Yao tells Jiu Chen that half his illness is gone and that he still needs to be careful. Yun Feng tries to flirt but gets rebuffed yet again.

 

Shisan is tasked with going to the Yuan residence to summon Yuan Tong but she doesn't want to, so she asks Hua Yan, who drags Ling Xi with her. They arrive to give Yuan Tong the message just as Old Lady Yuan kills herself in the ancestral hall and she stares daggers at them.

 

Ling Xi hides in a corner, and Jiu Chen comes to tell her it's not her fault. Lady Yuan's obsession with prestige made Yuan Zheng and Yuan Tong what they are, which ultimately led to the fate of the Yuan family.

 

Si Ming, Kai Yang and Han Zhang come upon Yun Feng staring off into space. He asks them to look at his face and tell him if it's grown old, or is no longer handsome. Of course they tell him no, so he concludes there must be a problem on her side. He thinks she's playing hard to get and decides he has to do something drastic. He shows up on a cloud and makes a heart-shaped pink cloud behind him then showers her with pink cloud flowers. She shuts the door in his face.

 

Ling Xi comes to ask Jiu Chen about her bracelet. He tells her it has recognized her as its master. Apparently its name is Tian Heng Shen Sha (roughly translated as Holy Sand of the Eternal Sky - guess that explains why it can form into different shapes and sometimes dissolves into sparkling white stuff). He tells her that even though the object recognized her on its own, it is only polite to let Nanji Immortal know. She's afraid to go because of the fierce immortal she met, so Jiu Chen tells her he'll go with her.

 

Yuan Tong watches as Jiu Chen tells Ling Xi to drive a cloud - and Ling Xi demurs saying she's not that strong yet and asks if he can do it instead. He tells her since she's a bird, she can fly.

 

They arrive at Nanji Shenzhou and find that the immortal has sequestered himself with his eldest disciple. However the immortal knew they would arrive and left word that they should not be concerned. Jiu Chen leaves a reply that he would make sure the item was well used and cared for.

 

Qin Yuan asks to leave despite his master's warnings and persuasion. His master lets him go and disappears. He hears about Jiu Chen's visit and leaves. He attacks Jing Xiu and they battle it out. Jing Xiu asks Chi Bi to investigate and follow him. Qin Yuan passes out in the desert where his god father Zhong Hao finds him. Qin Yuan pledges his services, and Zhong Hao tells him he wants to repair the demon sword, find the Shui Yue Ding (what's on Ling Xi's wrist) and sacrifice Jing Xiu to his dead. Qin Yuan swears to find Shui Yue Ding for him.

 

A blue bird poops on Ling Xi while she's doing her chores, and when she chases it, it turns out to be Yu Li's pet. She bullies Ling Xi, her bird leaving a nasty scratch on her hand, and leaves.

Qin Yuan - Nanji's disciple, Zhong Hao's god son, the one who chased after Ling Xi when she snuck in the last time.

I’m up until ep 8, and so far I’m kinda confused with jiu chen’s character. His potrayal so far sometimes inconsistent, or maybe I’m used to the stoic but kind hearted Mo Yuan or the arrogant yet playful phoenix.

Thanks very much for all the updates @Pmyonly  The chibis are adorable.  I love the new posters and glad to see the Douban rating has increased.  This drama doesn't deserve the bad wrap it was getting.

It seems like there still isn't much buzz about the drama so it's good to see they are doing some promo.  Ni Ni is soooo beautiful

Ep 14:

Shisan shrinks from avenging Ling Xi's bullying at the hands of Yu Li and her bird since the Medicine King has a lot of influence. Jiu Chen hears about it all.

 

Chi Bi reports the assassination attempt was made by Zhong Hao's godson, Qin Yuan, who is also the disciple of the Nanji Immortal. Jing Xiu decides to handle the situation personally. He beats back Zhong Hao but is unable to capture him because of the sword despite its broken condition.

 

Yuan Tong practices something sinister looking in front of her ancestral tablets.

 

Qin Yuan visits the palace and spots the Ling Xi in her familiar bird form. Ling Xi chases after the annoying blue bird and gets caught by Yu Li. Meanwhile, Qin Yuan asks Jiu Chen for the Shui Yue Ding. Jiu Chen denies ever having seen it. At this point, Yu Li drags Ling Xi in and tosses her in front of Jiu Chen. Qin Yuan spots her bracelet despite her attempt to hide it. Jiu Chen dismisses Ling Xi with meditation as her penance before dealing with Yu Li and Qin Yuan. He denies any knowledge of the Shui Yue Ding again, infuriating Qin Yuan and making him leave. Yu Li tries yet again to ingratiate herself with Jiu Chen. He pretty much ignores it and just tells her he's tired, effectively dismissing her. (He's too much of a gentleman, he needs to just shut her down.)

 

As she leaves she asks if he's been using her lamp, and he just bows his head and doesn't say a word. On her way out, she drops more word poop on Ling Xi, who just takes it so she'll go away.

 

Ling Xi asks Jiu Chen if Qin Yuan was here to ask for the artifact. She tells Jiu Chen she's afraid of him as he seems different than before. Jiu Chen tells her not to make trouble if she's worried, and to keep her bracelet. He reiterates her punishment and asks her to summon Shisan.

 

He asks Shisan to tail Qin Yuan, but she fails miserably at being stealthy and loses him near You Dou Mountain. Jiu Chen bemoans the fact that he used to have any number of talented people at his command. Jiu Chen decides to go down to the mortal realm and tells Shisan to stay put and guard the house when she says she's coming with him. Ling Xi walks in offering tea.

 

Jiu Chen: Didn't I tell you to go to your rooms and reflect on your mistakes?

Ling Xi: But I thought you might be thirsty. I'll go reflect after you have some tea.

Jiu Chen: Instead of this, how about you think about how to make fewer mistakes?

(He walks off.)

Ling Xi to Shisan: Did you make him angry?

Shisan: No way! Who doesn't know that in all of Fuyun Palace I am the one that understands our ShenZun's thoughts best? (Shenzun==honorific, literally means "honored god") 

Ling Xi: That's right! Who knows? (walks off)

 

Du Yu finds out that Yuan Tong is trying to practice Shenyou Baojian, which is apparently incomplete and is the likely reason her brother went dark. She doesn't care, and tells him she regrets having been hesitant about doing what she did before.

 

Qing Yao is about to go down to the mortal realm to help out with the drought and raging disease in the Yue nation when she learns her boss is already there. Instead, she's informed that there is a creature in Wangling Yuan who needs urgent care. She gets led to a remote spot and figures out she's being tricked. She finds out Yun Feng is behind it and clearly shows her dislike of him by attacking him when he tries to touch her arm.  She expresses her contempt at how frivolous he is when there is drought and disease going on and tells him his master would be ashamed. 

 

Yun Feng protests that he has nothing to do with it, at which point Qing Yao brings up a flood caused by his drunken actions 50000 years ago. He says he pulled all the souls back from death and gave them good lives as compensation -- all except one, saying that one death out of so many affected is pretty good. She tells him he's not fit to be a god, asking if he has considered how much misery the death of that one soul caused. When he tries to protest that he isn't the thoughtless person she thinks he is, she points a sword at him and tells him to stay away.

 

Jiu Chen meets Zhong Hao at You Dou Mountain and tells him he is naive to think that he would not have consequences for pledging himself to the demon. He asks what the demon lord asked him to do, and gives him a chance for his father Lie Yi's sake. Zhong Hao gets beaten and is summoned back into the sealed portal by the demon lord.

 

Yun Feng in the mean time, is looking through the books at Si Ming's office. Si Ming tells him he's not allowed to look at the books of immortals who are going through trials in the mortal realm. He tries to run off with the book, gets knocked over, and Yun Feng starts groping him all over, which is when Shisan comes along.

 

Shisan says: I may not be as strong as you, but if you bully Si Ming, I won't have it!

Yun Feng: I just wanted to see his...

Shisan: You can't see anything of his! (ho ho)

 

At which point she remembers to tell him Jiu Chen wants to see him. We learn that Zhong Hao's father Lie Yi was good at setting up formations and researched the demonic formations, which led him to his fall. Jiu Chen says he wasn't about to kill Zhong Hao and only wanted to ask about the demon lord's plan, but ended up giving the demon lord a chance to protect him. Jiu Chen decides he's going to have to take Ling Xi to You Dou Mountain to confirm his suspicions either way. He tells Yun Feng to keep a close eye on the Yuan family while he is gone. He asks Yun Feng to inform the Shan Ling ruler to be careful and to report immediately if they discover anyone secretly cooperating with the demonic tribe. He especially warns Yun Feng to stay focused and not be distracted.

 

Jiu Chen finds her at the Immortal Cleansing Pool, where she innocently thinks she's dreaming of him so much she's now seeing his reflection in the water. She's happily admiring how handsome he is when he clears his throat and she realizes he's there. He asks if she would like to go with him to the mortal realm, warning her it will be dangerous. She's excited to go, and tells him about all the different foods she'd like him to try.

 

They're flying on a cloud toward Da Yue nation when he disappears. It turns out a mystical beast is rampaging in the city streets. Jiu Chen is about to tame it when Ling Xi lures it away to a bamboo forest with a tray of steamed buns. She fearlessly walks up to it until it licks its chops at her and then jumps at her. Jiu Chen turns it into an adorable chibi form the size of a dog.

 

Ep 15

Jiu Chen's about to lock the Baize beast up, but Ling Xi tells him if the beast had killed or eaten people, its eyes would be red and its mouth would be bloody. She says it reminds her of Whitey and he lets her keep it despite having told her that she wouldn't be strong enough to control it when it's grown. (Ha, softie.)

 

Jiu Chen has an audience with Ling Yue and they exchange pleasantries. Ling Yue notices Ling Xi and says her face looks very familiar. When she learns she is the same age as her daughter, she's taken aback. Granny Shi asks after Ling Xi's background and is at first excited to hear she is also of the Dan bird tribe, but they are disappointed to hear she has a father, older sister and younger brother. They arrange a banquet for later.

 

Jing Xiu hears of the visit, and is interested to hear that a young female immortal came with Jiu Chen, but learns he is not invited to the banquet.

 

Ling Xi decides to name the Baize beast Wuwan (Five Bowls), because he is able to consume at least five bowls of rice at every meal. Jiu Chen makes the face he makes where he's clearly laughing inside but looks serious on the outside. He tells her to stick to him and not wander around.

 

Wuwan runs off during the banquet and she runs after him despite Jiu Chen telling her to stay close. She comes upon Bao Qing whipping Wuwan and interferes, at which point Wuwan bites Bao Qing. She runs away, stumbling into Jing Xiu's house and getting caught by his vine. He leaves her tied up and goes to deal with Bao Qing. Ling Xi's bracelet kicks in, and as she leaves she sees her eternity knot and takes it with her. She finds Wuwan and is about to be discovered when Jiu Chen puts a bubble around her. She's about to return the eternity knot to him when he tells her to follow him somewhere.

 

Si Ming looks up Qing Yao's time in the mortal realm and they learn that the one Yun Feng killed was her husband.

 

Jiu Chen brings her to the seal and tells her that she is the only one aside from him who is able to get so close with no ill effects. He asks if she wants to see where he cultivates, and when she agrees, takes her to Congji Yuan, a mansion at the foot of a snowy mountain.

 

He takes her into an icy chamber and locks her in. She thinks he must be trying to teach her cultivation so she tries, but is too cold. Daylight comes and Ling Xi has collapsed and is covered in frost. Jiu Chen's attempts at meditating are filled with memories of her innocence, and he ends up saving her. She wakes up and returns the eternity knot to him.

 

We get a flashback and see that right after he sealed the demon lord away and is stumbling away, he hears a baby crying. The stone in the baby's eternity knot is glowing. A gush of demonic energy rushes at him, and though he puts up a shield, a small amount rushes into the baby. His last act is to push a gush of white energy into the baby.

 

When Ling Xi wakes, she asks if he was punishing her for the same reason her father locked her up. "You were scaring me right? You wouldn't have the heart to let me freeze to death." He's about to leave when she says his palace is so big and cold, she's afraid, and she begs him to stay. He sits, and she lays back down to sleep. He decides to send her back to the Peach Forest.

Slow subbing (which is truly understandable as it's not an easy job so I really appreciate them for doing )is probably causing hindrance in international viewing as many drama watchers are anticipating it to be subbed faster so once it's done hope it will create buzz internationally.Nini is really beautiful

I am waiting to see how our God of War going to react when he see another male immortal in the house he "built" for Ling Xi.

 

Yun Tong is still harping over her one sided love for Jiu Chen. She thought he went to that lake because of their memories together but Jiu Chen said it was because of the memories on how she pushed Ling Xi into it. She still not taking No for an answer.

 

I just loved the God of Medicine's daughter this time. Annoying she might be but still had some principle. She told Yun Tong, in life, it is better never to offend a doctor.She is going to treat Yun Tong Yun's injuries very slowly. The other option she told Yun Tong to seek Yao Qing to heal but she should know what that answer will be.

Jiu Chen takes Ling Xi back to the Peach Forest, with her making a face the whole way. Le Bo predictably starts yelling at her when she gets back.

 

Le Bo and Jiu Chen have a private drink, and Le Bo says that Ling Xi is a debt he has to repay. Jiu Chen says he has many days to repay his debt, and tells him that he knows Ling Xi's background. He tells him he knows that Le Bo found the baby at You Dou Mountain. He says that at the moment that the demon lord was sealed, he tried to hide his soul in the baby. Even though Jiu Chen saved her life by pushing back the demon lord, it still managed to push some of its demonic power into the baby.

 

It is why Ling Xi has had godly/demonic power since she was small, and has the ability to wake him as well as the demon lord. He guesses that Le Bo knew this, and purposely caused a drunken scandal so that he could leave the heavenly palace and hide in the Peach Forest. If they (the heavenly host) found out, Ling Xi's life would be in danger.

 

When Le Bo asks what he's going to do about it, Jiu Chen says he wants to leave Ling Xi in the Peach Forest just as she has for her first 50000 years. Le Bo wonders if it could really be the same, as it seems it is no longer peaceful in the forest. Jiu Chen promises that he will do his best to protect her, and Le Bo bows to him in thanks.

 

Le Bo explains that he went to look for his younger brother disciple Mo Huan, but found the baby instead. He saw Jiu Chen, but he was already dead, so his intention was to save the baby first. Jiu Chen tells him that was good enough, and he did no wrong.

 

Jiu Chen tells Ling Xi the Peach Forest suits her but she says she prefers his palace. They get to the bridge and he asks if she knows how to use her weapon yet. She says all it can do is appear or disappear and seems quite useless. He tells her that it can take the shape of whatever she wants and teaches her to use it. Her first attempt is a bunch of little hearts. She successfully forms a sword on her next attempt. He tells her he's leaving her there and starts walking off. Ling Xi runs up and kisses him, her bracelet forming a ring of flowers around them. He stands there looking like a wooden block.

 

She tells him she likes him like a woman likes a man, she says "You like me at least a little, right? What's wrong with me? What did I do to make you unhappy? Why did you throw me in the ice room? And why are you leaving me here now?"

 

"I don't like you. You're too young and too weak, and are a bad match for me. You should stay in the Peach Forest and not come to the heavenly palace anymore."

 

"Shenzun, you don't mean that, right?"

 

Cue the dramatic music, tears, and Wuwan follows a forlorn Ling Xi.

 

Ling Xi: He said he doesn't like me. He doesn't want me anymore.

Le Bo: He doesn't want you, but Dad wants you! You're so good, whoever doesn't want you has poor taste! If Jiu Chen doesn't like you then he's a wide-eyed blind man, and we don't like him either!

Ling Xi sobbing: But Dad I like him!

Le Bo: Alright, we like him, like him.

Ling Xi: But Dad he doesn't like me.

 

Cheng Yan comes by and starts teasing her until Ling Xi casually says she'll tell Qing Yao what caused all those mysterious failures when she used to make her medicinal pills. He ends up trying to comfort her by telling her they are too far apart - a powerful god and a weak young immortal. It reminds her of his parting words and she wonders if that really is the reason.

 

Yun Feng goes to Qing Yao's work place, shushing anyone who greets him. He stands outside the doors, girding his loins, but just as he's about to step into her office, she shuts them in his face. When she finally comes out, he runs after her, telling her he wants to sincerely apologize. She continues to ignore him, and he asks what she wants him to do. She tells him all she wants is not to see him anymore.

 

Ling Xi practices with her weapon but it doesn't work as well as it did when Jiu Chen was coaching her. She manages to form a sword and chase Cheng Yan away though. 

 

Zhong Hao's minions capture a bunch of girls, they get sucked into the seal and spit back out as skeletons, but they are not the right ones. Jiu Chen sharply reprimands Yun Feng for doing a half-assed job, and tells him it's no surprise that Qing Yao doesn't think very highly of him. Kai Yang reports that all the girls were 50000 years old. Jiu Chen tells him he no longer has to investigate, but to inform all territories to beef up patrols to prevent anymore abductions. He also gives orders to surround You Dou Mountain.

 

Yun Feng asks Jiu Chen for forgiveness, whining that he's pitiful too, having been rejected. Jiu Chen tells him that with his abilities and position come responsibilities. If he had followed Jiu Chen's orders, those immortal women may never have been abducted. He tells him that he was fortunate enough to be accepted by their master, and should cherish the opportunity, or he would not be fit to be a god living in heaven, worshipped by mortals. Yun Feng acknowledges that he had gotten lazy, not having any responsibilities, and swears he will take his position seriously from now on. 

 

Yun Feng tells his brother that watching him, he always felt like Jiu Chen was too tired, ever since he was little, so he never wanted to live like him. "If as immortals we can't live happily as we like, what meaning is there for mortals to spend their lives seeking immortal cultivation?" Jiu Chen replies that whether as humans or immortals, you can't seek only idleness and pleasure, but can only hope for a heart that is at peace with itself. "Happiness is necessary too. Otherwise it would be too pointless. Look at Ling Xi. Ever since she came here, you've been much livelier. Why haven't I seen her today?" Jiu Chen replies she's gone home, and she's no match for him. 

 

Yun Feng rebuts that even though she's just a little bird, she makes Jiu Chen happy and that is a huge achievement. Just for that, he would obtain any treasure in all the oceans for her. He adds that as an immortal without much to do, he could go beg Le Bo for wine from time to time, too. "What did we JUST talk about, did you forget already??" "But you already have a plan! Once you execute it, I'll have nothing to do again."

 

"Brother, we grew up together. If you have any private concerns, I'd be happy to be your confidant."

"Who grew up with you? I RAISED you."

"Pretty much, pretty much..."

"You know, when I was little, you kept taking me to the top of the mountain."

"Did I?"

"You did!"

 

Demons try to abduct some women in the Peach Forest, and Ling Xi tries to fight them off but is having a hard time. And old immortal comes to their aid. He tells them he belongs to Wangmu's staff and was passing by. He tells them to leave as the demons may still be nearby. After he leaves, he comes across Wuwan snoring in a corner, and picks him up. Ling Xi finds out from a little bird, and flies off to Kunlun in search of Wuwan.

 

Jiu Chen saves some women at You Dou Mountain and finds out some of them were abducted from the Peach Forest. He goes there in time to help Le Bo fight off some demons, and sends Le Bo back to keep an eye on Ling Xi, not aware that she's no longer there.

 

Zhong Hao is pissed that Jiu Chen is blocking him and decides he's going to mend his sword using the Tuntian beast (remember the beast from episode 1) that is about to be dissolved at Wangmu's banquet at Kunlun mountain.

 

Ling Xi goes in search of Wuwan and stumbles on the Tuntian beast soaking in a spring that is about to dissolve it. Jiu Chen arrives at the banquet at the same time.

Jiu Chen grew that peach tree for Ling Xi  to regain her hearing but everyone else benefit from it including the San Ling Prime Minister. Ling Xi has not even eaten one fruit.

and to think....lol..It will be really funny to see Jiu Chen comes back and found out the house he built for her is being occupied also by another man.
