Sorry for cutting your post. It will be nice if the writers went that way...changing Ra On into the head of the rebels and like you said have everyone admire her and make them like CP..

For people that read the novels, how did it go ? Did her identity (female) got discovered in the palace ? If yes what happened then ? And what happened when she learned that she was the daughter of the rebel ? You can PM me please if you can't post it here. I really want to know.

Because she have to show to the viewer with the emotion in her eyes not with the tears. For me I really salute her for her marvelous emotion act without being too mellow.

But no worries because in the future episode I got a hunch that she's gonna cry like a river

Yeong so wants a kiss in the preview.  Would love it if RO who initiates it.  If ever RO ends up in danger,  I have faith in Hyung Kim.  He'll save her.  I think Yeong is able to save RO from the queen again.  He probably comes up with an excuse why RO has it.

I haven't read the novel but knowing how these dramas go, 100% guaranteed this marriage will not be consummated. In a way I feel sorry for Ha Yeon. I don't find her an appealing character but she doesn't seem a bad person and is marrying the CP because she is attracted to him and wants to help him. She doesn't know about Ra On and probably has no idea the CP will totally reject her.  In a way, the marriage is totally unfair to her. If she just wanted power she could have married YS and helped him to become king. For now I don't find her evil but we'll have to see if she changes later.

Back to the drama. It would be great if Ra On becomes the leader BUT it would also make it more difficult for her to marry the CP. In those days, it would be frowned upon for the Queen to be from a non-noble family. 

The only option is for CP to join her. It would be interesting to see how the writers will make this happen. 

(As long as there is no prolonged separation! He could sneak out every night to see her  until they find a way to be together permanently)

 Can someone who read the book pm me how the last arc of the story went? I know the writers of the drama have changed quite a few details but the overall story should be going in the same direction.

I like your analysis of raon and possibilities of how the story can go. I wonder how the rating will be on monday. Will it be high as we are curious how it unfolds or low as we want to avoid the heart break. Whatever it is , I trust the team ! I only hope the actors willl have enough rest as it seem they are on very tight schedule now. 

The preview only serves to add more mystery on how the story unfolds. Though angsty and sad, I am keen to see how it will be. just another 4 weeks and the story will end. I think I will miss the otp alot and so now I shall just appreciate the show and not be too angsty about it.

If I'm not mistaken.. in the earlier episode.. the King was saying something like he can't do anything as a King but to be quiet and follow through.. because when he tried to do something, it caused his best friend (Hong aka Ra On late father) along with 2000 other people died and later he lost his previous Queen.. Remember that Hyung father was also executed because he was accused of feeding the rebels (while he acclaimed those are just hungry people) hhmm I have a feeling this is ALL done by the old evil minister.. Hong was wrongly accused and become a black sheep.. Hong was actually not a rebel.. Hong and the King wanted to do things for the prosperity of the country and more benefit for the people.. poor puppet King.. CP Lee is way more brave and he's already has his life in the line every second.. danger and threats..

Why don't that old greedy grandpa become a king himself than? He's like 70 years and already smell like a corpse yet still hungry for power.. this old dude is so damn powerful he reminds me of that prime minister in Empress Ki which is so so so difficult to get rid of. 

thank goodness the drama is only 18 episodes or I'll experience the second Empress Ki roller coaster ride for months and months even when I watched it in some Tteokbokki eatery in Myeongdeong - Seoul in 2014, me and the old ahjumma owner was cursing on that evil dude in our own language while watching it live on TV..

Its possible raon's father was an official too and wrongly accused when he helped the hungry people.  The royals' names were often blacklisted each time evil minister kim executte innocent people using the king's name. Maybe minister kim want to force a rebellion so that he can change king and he can install his grandson ys as the king when the people were against the royalty? Just a thought that came to mind. I noticed the lanteen girl seller was accused after cp got friendly with her.

So its likely they want to do the same to him. When he disobey, they will cut away the ones hes close to. Now its happening with the lantern girl seller. Maybe raon is next when the evil queen discovered the hanbok. I hope our cp can rise above the situation with his wise teacher's help.

@Jillia and others (I'm truly sorry if I can't remember all your names), you're most welcome!  I'm glad that you have enjoyed reading my transcaps just as much as I have derived great joy in working on them. Thanks for all your words of encouragement. Like @parisonheaven and @stroppse have already mentioned before, please do excuse us if we make any mistakes in our translations after all I'm not a native speaker of the language and at times, it isn't always easy for me to find the appropriate words and phrases to use in the context as it deems fit. 

 

Not forgetting, @Ahphengchingu, your comic strip never fails to amaze me!   No worries, I still love watching JI for all the entertainment it has provided for me and it's great to see our Chef-nim in another drama again. I'm really glad to see that we are the same thread again so we can spazz about our favorite drama. 

 

Though currently, I'm trying to juggle my time between my work, personal life and working on my recaps for 3 dramas, I guess my bias will still be MDBC because there is never a dull moment in the show and I really love Park Bo-gum's solid acting and the fact that he is so completely immersed in the character he is playing makes viewers like us feel the emotional joy, angst, pain and torment he is going through. It's as if he has made the character of the Crown Prince Lee Yeong come alive for us. Not withstanding, his innate ability at playing out with a repertoire of his facial expressions to which even the most subtle ones tells us there is something more than meets the eye and truly expresses all these emotions he is feeling. It seems as if his eyes can speak and they can relate a thousand unspoken words...Just when he first planted a kiss on RO's lips, the subtle smile on his face kinda tells me he already knows the truth that she is a woman. The way he plays out his character so remarkably well really wows me and he will definitely be one of my favorite actors on my watch-list.

 

Not forgetting, our endearing and adorable Yoo-Jung as she has always been my favorite child actress. Her immeasurable talent as an actress is truly commendable since I've watched her steadily improved in her acting skills by leaps and bounds over the past years. She is truly one of the most down-to-earth and wholesome young actresses whom I've come across in spite of the fact that she has already garnered immense popularity in Korea. I'm really loving her onscreen chemistry with Park Bo-Gum. Her smile and laughter are so genuine that it makes us viewers want to laugh along with her and share in her joy and when she sheds tears of sadness, pain and torment, it draws tears to our eyes too so I can't wait to watch this young actress blossom into becoming a more astounding actress than before.

 

I'm glad that this drama is so well loved by viewers like us and is enjoying steadily high ratings. But then, I've never really been bothered by the ratings of the show for which I'm watching or recapping. Kudos to the production team and the leading cast for all the hard work they have put into making the drama a success!

I think it's because KYJ really nailed it being SM & RO. With her superb act it makes us the viewer easy to watch what kind of character she's been played. Basicly she's a positive character & that's why I like this drama. I'm enough of endlessly tears type of drama because I need to life longer. There're many instalment that need to be paid. That's also my answer for my wisdom, is not that I'm a wise person it just that I need to watch everything positively. Because of that damn instalment. 

So I dunno whether I should be grateful for your compliment or pity you because already deceived by me wkwkwk.... Okay let's make it both. Thank you for being deceived by me dear chingu . Peace yo!

Premiere Kim is an evil person. How could he control so many people and hire people as his minions to fill his greediness to reign the dinasty. I can imagine he already controlled the King by using him as a puppet. I have a feeling he's actually given him a poison or maybe some drug to make him easily getting a panic attack and more to see delusional things. The King's actually being used by Premiere Kim that's why he barely oppose his advice to reign the dinasty. I feel so bad for him .Losing his wife, friends and i could even say, he will lose his son again.

I feel bad for the little princess because of the trauma she got from Premiere Kim, she got a bad effect from him. She couldnt even speak properly. I wonder if she finally break over and spill the whole story about the Premiere Kim.
