It’s autumn 943 in the story considering the Double Yang Festival (observed on the ninth day of the ninth month in the Chinese calender = October) took place at the end of episode 10 (where they drank Chrysanthemum tea), therefore King Taejo must die soon.

Actually, he was supposed to die already in July on disease, but the writer is either taking a creative licence here or the change is intentional.

However, how will BA and WH get from the “I assassinated your father” dilemma to being lovey dovey is a complete mystery to me. Perhaps the preview for episodes 12&13 is misleading again.

@briseis Well, I believe, Taejo will die from a heart attack. WH doesn't kill him  but she scares him so that his heart can't take it. Maybe Yo and Park thought, she would kill him but she didn't!!

Let me tell something on this specific point: 1) he killed a bunch of treacherous assassins (that's what they were); 2) Technically, they attacked him first, right when he entered the temple. No chance of a parley, even if he wanted to interrogate them first or whatever. I wouldn't say that "he sacrificed many"... He just plain killed the traitors who had attempted to kill the Crown Prince right in front of the King, and spilled blood in the Palace. He did it BEFORE they were apprehended by the authorities and killed anyway, but that's it. Not really different from what Wang Wook did when he killed in cold blood the court lady who had helped administering the poison and overheard the conversation between him and his sister...

Well, that makes her only PARTIALLY culpable for his death and an attempted murder. But I'm afraid she will be blamed one way or another. And also how BA will take it - that's question.

Woo Hee Jin (Lady Oh) slayed it this week. She is diametrically opposite to Queen Yoo. The queen didn't bat an eyelid when WS drank poison and who looked like he would die. Lady Oh willingly died for HS who is not her own child. The character was awesome. My only regret being I wish they had introduced her early on. Totally agree. That tea serving scene she had with the king was so full of silent poignant looks that I can't even.. It was perfection. When she turns her head to face him, her eyes brimming with tears and asks him if he's going to turn his head away this time too, she shined in that moment. So beautifully acted. Her short presence in the drama was impactful. She'll be a character I will not forget.

I really want Hae Soo to find out that it was Wang Wook that even asked Lady Oh to save Hae Soo (hinting for her to take the blame instead) it shows that he didn't really put effort into saving her just trying to shift the blame onto another innocent to let Hae Soo escape. If Hae Soo finds out do you think she can sleep in peace knowing that? 

 

No Question - my sympathy for Wook goes against zero now...

He chose the Throne... here was what we all knew will come... now he knows what he wish for... and Lady Oh was so right... the greed for the Throne will make every Prince a coward...

I love Lady Oh for everything she said to Wook - she was right!!! Can´t say  it better.

Just one thing... Wook never wanted Lady Oh to sacrifice herself.. he wanted her to ask the King. If someone can change is mind it should be the only woman he loved.

But Lady Oh knows better that she could never do that.

I just finished it with subs... and again I´m a mess.... today was really so sad....

I love the Episode today - it broke my Heart - but I still love it... how often proved So today to be wonderful...

 

Hardly can handle to stand on his feets again .. but he had to run to Soo....

And he will never forget how she looked... and it will not change his heart that even in that situation she cared about him. Not only glad to see him alive - but telling him to follow the Doctors Order and so on..

So is ready to die for love and lovalty - and he don´t hide his feelings.

He is ready to do everything - and he is capable to do it.

A Sword is not allowed in the Palace... he don´t care... after begging to his Father did not helped.. he would fight... and he would kill them all to bring Soo out - no question for me. But he did not wanted to kill.... still he would do it.

 

And Soo... she only looked for 8th Prince... but the one who came - risking everything... protecting her and fighting for her... that fits for sure not in what Soo believed. The one who will not change...

I was proud for 14, 13 and even CP - they did not looked in the other Way... kneeling in the Rain too... was the best solution for them. (did 10 missed that something happend while he was busy to run away from the beargirl???)

The sad part of it all WW don't understand that YH literally hates HS and she would never allow him be with a nothing like her.. So  in order for her to seal there ill fate is to tell HS just what she done and just who could have saved her life but choose his family over her as YH lay it on thick that WW can never go against the family for her and if he tries again she will see to it that she'll be hung or her head on the chopping block..
