Is there any such hot scene in a drama like this? The first pic can be taken from a scene of truck scene (may be I m wrong). These hands and side faces look theirs. If YSH talk to KMY mom he is conservative (married first then bed scene). Are they married in the end?  If not then, who else then? A hot scene better

Episode 13 of KBS2 TV drama “Descendants of the Sun” was a suspense-filled roller coaster ride. However, in midst of all the action, viewers and fans were able to enjoy actors Jin Goo and Song Joong-ki dressed up in lean black suits.

The actors’ characters accepted their missions as body guards for a summit between North and South Korea, prompting them to suit up.

The last three minutes of the show in particular shocked viewers, with Yoo Shi-jin getting injured badly. 

The TV drama hit another record-breaking viewership with 33.5 percent with episode 13.

I didn't see any new clip except for that stone in the last part...all the rest are rehash of SJ and MY's journey in their relationship...but the overall mood is sad, though I love the last part, the gas station kiss.

Just watched the subs.  I have no idea what is in store tonight, it is just so hard to speculate apart from preview pix on the hospital bed with MY trying to save SJ.     I just hope ep 14 will have sufficiently hopeful end tonight so we can all sleep soundly every night till Wednesday next week.

Back in episode one. Hahaha. I still can't believe these Team Alpha (all well trained and disciplined) soldiers put clothes on for them. Reminds me of when Capt Yoo was 'trying' on his uniform and asking them which ones look nicer WHEN THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!!

 In real life, both shk and sjk have same blood type: A blood type. 

3 more episodes to go, perhaps the 'extended' ones are aired before the last episode. Any info? 

To be frank, I m drown into the characters of both YSJ and KMY so I never think of my life after DotS. I hope that SHK and SJK are paired again in different drama or can I ask a film, producers? I hope the collaboration wont wait long.

For a second it looked like those dramas where they have a change of director or writer and the tone of the drama changes?...

 

For the first time, I felt bored watching an ep. I guess because they have gotten together, the 'thrill' or 'chase' is gone? The lovey-dovey scenes were expected so kinda nothing excited and the long sequence of them being drunk... feels like filler to me...

Anyways, ending is unexpected and credits to SHK for acting so damn shock, I felt that shock-ness because of her...

And it's kinda ridiculous how YSJ didn't get hurt that badly at all in Urk but when he got back to Korea... realli?

Some ppl think that YSJ will not able to be a solder again due to his injury and we'll get to see how he cope with that and their relationship... I actually look forward to that.. because from ep 1, YSJ was sucha an awesome guy... there isn't much character development.. so I'm looking forward to seeing the changes/struggle if that do happen...

I still can't organize my thought, what was happening? So many cute and happy moments and they decided to give me that kind of cliff hanger, how can I survive!!! 

Not that I think SJ will die, NO HE WILL NOT DIE, YA HEAR ME WRITER-NIM??? He will survive guys  He is a fighter and he will never leave MY alone.

I'm more worried about MY, I was even more shocked than her when they open the ambulance door, I knew it will be SJ, but still I was so shocked. I think it's true that Capt Ahn was there to warn them.

In the preview, MY said please take care of SJ, I like him so much. Is she asking Cap Yoo to bring her SJ back? I don't know, I feel so touched by this scene and I cried for her. I don't know is this only her imagination or flashback?

Love how her tears start pooling in her eyes when SJ walked away, I can't say another word for SHK, she is truly awesome!

Song Hye-kyo and Song Joong-ki, the on-screen couple of “Descendants of the Sun,” faces another crisis in their relationship, as Song Joong-ki is in a life-threatening condition following a gunshot injury. 

In the latest episode that aired Wednesday, Dr. Kang Mo-yeon, played by Song Hye-kyo, and special forces Capt. Yoo Si-jin, played by Song Joong-ki, arrive back home in Seoul from Uruk, a fictional war-torn Mediterranean country. The two go on dates and enjoy spending time together for the first time in Seoul. 

However, near the end of the episode, Yoo, who is in charge of security services during the high-level talks between North and South Korea, arrived at a hospital on an ambulance, lying on a gurney and soaked in blood.

Yoo is unconscious. When Kang realizes her emergency patient is her boyfriend Yoo, she is shocked. 

In teaser photos released by the broadcaster on Thursday, Kang tries to save Yoo.

In the past episodes, it was Yoo who rescued Kang from emergency situations. Viewers can find out whether Kang can save Yoo on Thursday’s 14th episode.

Big Boss already prove that he can save her Beauty... Because he is a soldier he already save him in different situation and I think the writer made this scene so that Beauty can also prove her love for Big Boss by saving him no matter what happen. She's a doctor after all...So I will have in Dr.Kangs magical hands that already save many people

The most awaited cameo of SHK's beloved dongsaeng. But tbh I laughed so hard when he appeared on my screen lol. Felt like I was actually watching SHK and YAI..not KMY and a bank teller. Even if his appearance was just a few seconds..I could still feel the closeness between those two. Were they having a hard time suppressing their laughter?

South Korean actor Song Joong Ki has been setting female hearts aflutter with his suave turn as an all-action special operations soldier in the hit drama Descendants Of The Sun.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Even his A-list co-star Song Hye Kyo, who plays his love interest Kang Mo Yeon, confesses she has felt her heart palpitate when watching her character being wooed by his Captain Yoo Si Jin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Recalling a memorable line in a scene where the officer seizes the initiative to kiss Dr Kang, she says: "There are many great lines from the drama. I think many great lines came from Yoo Si Jin, not from my character.

Descendants - which superimposes an old-fashioned romance drama on a war-themed action thriller and imbues it with comic elements - has garnered top ratings across the region.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In Seoul, where episodes 11 and 12 aired last week, it scored ratings above the 30 per cent share of the audience, surpassing the numbers of another Korean global hit, My Love From The Star, in 2013.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It received more than two billion views on the Chinese streaming site iQiyi. The first four episodes of the drama were watched more than 300 million times on iQiyi and, after eight episodes, the drama broke the one-billion milestone.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In Hong Kong and Singapore, Descendants is the most-watched show on the Viu online service. Last month, more than 60 per cent of Viu's viewers in Singapore and Hong Kong tuned in to watch it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Song Hye Kyo found the script, which was filmed in Greece standing in for a fictional war-torn country called Urk, to be a page- turner when she first received it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

She says: "The relationship between a doctor and a soldier intrigued me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"When I read the script for the first time, I found I could read it as fast as if it were a comic book. That's when I realised it would be a fun drama that many people would fall in love with."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

According to reports, screenwriter Kim Eun Sook - the creator of successful dramas such as The Inheritors (2013), Secret Garden (2010) and Lovers In Paris (2004) - reworked the script by Kim Won Suk, another screenwriter, beefing up the love story.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Indeed, Descendants may be chock-a-block with action - as Captain Yoo engages in hand- to-hand combat with North Korean soldiers, rescues hostages from terrorists and tangles with nefarious gunrunners - but Song Joong Ki believes that the drama is ultimately a romance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He says: "You can see different kinds of scenes in the drama - there's action, there're earthquakes. But we still consider it a romantic drama.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"There are many couples like me and Hye Kyo as well as (the second leads) Jin Goo and Kim Ji Won in the drama. I hope the viewers would focus on the cute stories of those couples."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Between the romances and gunfights, the cast also has plenty of time for comedy, which often had the stars in stitches while the camera was rolling.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Song Hye Kyo says: "The characters aren't very serious at times. So you'll see funny parts here and there. Joong Ki and I both laughed a lot. We had to stop filming sometimes because we were laughing too hard. I remember how bad I felt for the crew at the shoot."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Perhaps part of the drama's success can be attributed to the adequate time given to the cast and crew to finish the production.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Typically, Korean dramas go to air even as filming is ongoing. Descendants, in contrast, wrapped up filming in December before it premiered in South Korea and China in February.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Song Joong Ki explains that an advantage of this arrangement is that there was time for discussions without the pressure of a tight filming deadline looming over cast and crew.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"We had enough time to communicate and work with one another. I liked the fact that we had a more relaxed setting. That's what I liked the most about doing this drama," he says.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He should be pleased that he fought for and scored the role of Captain Yoo.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr Kim Woo Taek, chief executive of New Entertainment World, which produced Descendants, has said there were other "superstar candidates" for the role.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He added that Song, who had previously starred in television dramas such as Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010), "has a relatively weak image", which is the opposite of the manly Captain Yoo.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Of course, fans of Descendants - especially female ones - would disagree, now that they have seen Song being all alpha male and topless on a few occasions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The same fans would also have savoured the scenes of other topless muscular soldiers on their routine morning jogs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Song Hye Kyo's Dr Kang is among the admirers of those hunky soldiers in the show.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In real life, the actress says, the cast wanted the scenes to end as soon as possible. She reveals: "It was very cold when the soldiers shot the scene as it was winter. They had a really hard time. We wanted to wrap up the filming quickly for the sake of the boys."

I just want to say YAI's hairstyle looks so seto, so neat, he must have spend 1 hour in that hair for that few seconds? I think they prob have many laugh NGs, since SHK & him are very close friends.
