Viki used to translate 师娘 as teacher's wife or master's wife but how can you call someone like that?

JC is his shifu's shifu, so Lin Mo as JC's wife is 2 levels up than him in generational difference. So he needs to call her grandma.

Yes grand ShiMu or grand ShiNiang, JC is grand ShiFu. 

Mu or Niang means mother. Fu means father.

A'Mo calls her mother as Niang while LX calls her mother as MuQin.

Kids usually call their mom as NiangQin.

Shifu is master And master's wife Shiniang I guess is madam 

But for Jc second generation student he should call Jc as shigong and ling mo as shinainai Grandmaster and grandmadam or grandma  I guess 

P. S Ling mo is too young to call as grandma

I found that some of the dialogues in the series pccd didn't sub it Especially the dialogue Shinainai I wonder how viki would sub it So curious can't wait to see it

You know what? I remember watching old Hong Kong drama the usually female shifu are monk or not married. lol like in Condor Heroes or Dragon Blade.

Absolutely correct in Chinese ancient time shifu could be use for both genders Recall back in the old drama series they would call their master husband as Mr plus his surname only

I guess father here doesn't have to mean a male it's just to place emphasis on how to treat one's shifu. There is this saying "One day as a teacher, one lifetime as a father".
