After watching the episode, I guess I can hold on to my speculation that the Lady in Red could indeed be the Goddess of Fate (the Deity) or something H E O L ~

The writers are so detailed in every aspect of this drama. The red color plays a big role here, especially considering its meaning from the Bible

Okay so after this episode I'm like 89% sure that he's the king... but then in that scene when gong yoo said that kim so hyun is his sister... deokhwa is all like "maybe reaper is your sister in past life" jokingly...but why would his heart hurt when gong yoo wrote his name if he isnt that king?

I catch the lady in red mentioned something about ET dying though.

As expected, ep 8 is damn heavy. A lot of secrets being told and the plot thickens. This is just episode 8 though and the suspense is killing me. 

No preview of ep 9 though. Does it mean that the shooting is not done yet? Oh dear.... Needs subs now though. That last scene...

INTENSE.
 

On a side note, ET crying makes my heart break. I mean, all the poor girl ever wanted was a happy life and yet... T-T

This drama is insanely good! I mean, right now I am seriously feeling numb, confused, anxious, nervous, sad.... and this is watching without Eng sub, with live stream going on and off. What is going on now? Only at Episode 8! I honestly cannot predict how the plot is going to turn out. Is JET going to die? Or our handsome Goblin going to die? What is going to happen in the next 9 years until we can see JET in that restaurant? Now that I see this, maybe there are more surprises in store from the brilliant writer-nim that we could never predict and tell. One week to go, how am I going to survive this one week now

The final scene brings about the paradox regarding the sword and Kim Shin's life and death. To pull out the sword, he has to love the bride and but in doing so, he will want to live and not let her pull out the sword. However, the reason why she is able to continue to live is because she is the Goblin's bride, thus it is the Goblin that enables her to live. Thus, if she is unable to pull out the sword, she ceases to fulfill her value and role, she will thus according to Samshin Granny be involved in more and more violent accidents which may include Kim Shin killing her personally. Thus, his continual desire to live will be an the expense of hers while his death will allow her to continue to live.

In the upcoming episode with Euntaek knowing the truth as well, this then results in a pull-push relationship again between the both of them regarding the sword pulling.
