People are blowing this whole thing completely out of proportion. It was an electric scooter going what, 30km an hour. It's a misdemeanor at most, if even that. And their own kdramas glamourize and promote drinking all the time, with hardly any consequences for any of the characters if they're drunk. Suga gets intoxicated (which isn't great, of course, but he's no different from other Koreans who get intoxicated) and then hops on an electric scooter to make his (slow) way home and people are going insane. It's madness. There are so many other things people can use their time and energy to fight against to make society better.

I had to google because I couldn't remember the details. From Wikipedia:

They will never let him go, chingu. Look at how many scandals Kangin had (4 in total - which were way more serious too) before he left Super Junior.

 

Also, Bighit already said that there is no way that Yoongi is leaving BTS because the group's dynamics are too strong for one member to leave. They just wouldn't be able to continue with one less member.

 

We also have to remember that BTS is super popular outside of Korea, and we here realize that this is not a huge issue. Sure, it was wrong and he needs to learn from it, but it is not serious enough to be canceled over.

Anyone remember the actor Ji Soo who ended up in a middle school / high school bullying scandal about 4 years ago? The guy who was appearing in episodes 1-6 of River Where the Moon Rises but then had to leave due to the scandal? And that's how @confusedheart's Wet Noodle Oppa got the ML part for the remaining episodes of that drama. Remember him?

 

So apparently he hinted he is going to try for a comeback in Korea (he's acting in Filipino dramas at the moment) and he said that he's cleared up all of the bullying allegations with his "victim".

Btw, I just realized that Minhwan from FT Island is still part of the group! And he's promoting the new album too? Pretty impressive knowing that he nowadays is a single dad of 3 kids. Can't be too easy after his divorce and gaining full custody of them.
