The second season of Pachinko, which is currently preparing to begin production has hired Leanne Welham as a director. ‘Pachinko’ Season 2 is currently in pre-production, and the first leg of filming will begin in Toronto on January 9, 2023.

Leanne Welham will direct four episodes of the second season, which will shoot in Mississauga, Toronto, between January 9 and March 27, 2023. We are yet to get any update on the Japanese shoot, which is set to begin soon after the first half. We revealed the complete Pachinko Season 2 filming schedule last month.

Welham has previously directed three episodes in the second season of the HBO original, His Dark Materials. Her credits also include the Hulu original series, "Conversations with Friends," in which she has directed five episodes.

@syntyche  thanks for sharing this. I'm not really into S2, part2s, remakes, sequels of any drama but, I'm curious about "Pachinko" S2. I admire Kim Min Ha after watching the drama. I learned that she auditioned for ‘Pachinko’ without an agency. She had a tremendous effort to be cast in the drama.
