The rating yesterday was the lowest-ever and I am not surprised by that given the wretched writing in the past few weeks or so.

So Episode 116 ...

 

 

 

- Police escorting a convicted murderer to prison via ambulance 1) ALONE! 2) alone AND playing phone games 3) no medic in the back to watch the patient

 

- Why/How can YK be so astonished that SY was involved with MA's murder ... after all that she's already done?

 

- Why/How can SY be so terrified of Ji Ho - NOW - after all that he has already done, and that she was directly involved with - only to then completely lose that fear of him, AND TEAM UP WITH HIM AGAIN???!!!

 

- How can Ji Ho be stupid enough to team up with SY again after her testimony sent him to prison in the first place?

 

- Even if the HB blackmail worked, as long as the child survives, SY is now on the hook for kidnapping even if she was somehow able to dodge the murder charge

 

- What real good does getting any of the safe info back do for Ji Ho?  Its all no doubt been copied, and even if he gets the proof of SY's involvement, what good can it do him now?  He was involved, he broke out of prison, its not like he's getting his job back if he turns SY in. 

 

- The writers are ruining Secretary Ko.  The man was the consummate professional security expert, now he turns his back on a conscious convicted murderer - WHO TRIED TO KILL HIM BEFORE - to TALK ON THE PHONE???!!!

 

- Additionally, I didn't like how they started making Secretary Ahn look timid - be it Chairman Ma, Ji Ho, or SY, she was always swimming in the deep end with sharks, she's known for a VERY long time what these people are capable of.  Still, if the writers just allow her to slip away into the dark nether as this episode implies, never to be seen again, thats a pretty fitting ending for her. 

 

 

 

I really hate when decent drama's just seem to fall apart at the end - this was an enjoyable watch right up to around the 80's episodes, and then its just gotten steadily worse - sad.

Now it's SY turn to kidnap HB, in exchange maybe for the incriminating evidences against her?

 

And JH jumps down from the room to avoid being caught.

 

Tomorrow is the D-Day.....the bad guys have only 27 mins of run time before the Final Episode on Friday.

Watching the subbed version of Ep 117 makes it even worse!

 

Even a stupid person will know that the Good Guys will not turn over the evidences to him/her so easily. That really shows how naive a villain Kang Ji Ho is. And worse is to believe that Se Young will not betray him again. Really? That is the fate of JH, to have Han Byeol taken from him so easily by SY. 

 

SY has put herself in a deeper abyss by committing kidnap now, on top of the other previous charges. 

 

What "worse" can possibly happen in less than an hour to wrap up the entire serial? Even the Secret House already has HSJ in jail and NTH crushed by the white truck 2 episodes before the end. Yet in this show, the 2 bad guys are still freely roaming around

This is why I stopped watching because none of the villains have redeemed themselves. I think that Chairman Ma for what she deserved murdered by the people she trusted.  SY was given a chance to live rich and she couldn’t stop committing crimes. She was BORN EVIL

 

@LeftCoastOppa Secretary Ahn was always timid because she actually believed all the crimes she committed doesn’t make her guilty because she wqs ordered to do it.  She only acted tough because Chairman Ma had her back and thought she will never face jail times

I'll have to disagree with you on this one @UnniSarah

 

Secretary Ahn was positively mercenary when Ma was already out of the picture. First, when she gave Team Good the dirt on Ji Ho via Secretary Ko, and used the still nonsensical excuse she didn't want the fakes to win ... and then went right back to helping them when she could've ended them both had she wished. Second, when she turned in her resignation letter and threatened Ji Ho to his face, knowing at that time he'd tried to kill 2 people already. 

 

She was guarded - yes, timid - no

This is the END GAME for both villains - fuelled by her jealousy towards HS, SY crashed her car into HS, IH, HB, and YG. JH saw her intention and decided to sacrifice himself to save HB! A predictable plot, isn't it! 

 

But wait, JH DOES HAVE 9 LIVES after all, he will survive the crash!    He will instead jump down. This is exactly the same plot as last episode of A Secret House where HSJ is being seen about to jump down the building!

 

 

Thankfully, we will done with this one in 24 hrs time!

Because the props dept knows this drama is limping across the finish line, and there's no way they're gonna scratch a perfectly good Aston-Martin (SY's car) to make a believable crash scene.

I just gotta say, while wishing no ill will on the child, trying suddenly to make HB the be all end all focus in the last episodes is just complete weak sauce.

 

The kid was an after thought throughout most of the drama, and Ji Ho hasn't expressed anything as a genuine father since maybe the 40's episodes. She's leverage and thats it. To try to make HB some type of trigger for his redemption is utter nonsense

What I want most is for JH and SY to pay for their crimes. I have to wonder will JH truly jump and if he does will his mother end up following him. I keep thinking maybe his mother will find him on that roof and decide to jump with him. I hope I am wrong because JH needs to pay. But then again I feel like in order for HB and HS to live a happy life with IH JH needs to be gone from the picture unless he can curb his jealousy of IH and see what's best for HB in having IH as a stepfather.

This serial is portraying Korean police to be an inept one....they barged in to Ji Ho's room in a haste, only for him to escape yet again. At least the full episode showed him trying to find a place to stay, and kicked out by a homeless guy - that was mildly satisfying!

 

Se Young also lost Han Byeol when she was talking on the phone....and what's up with Yu Gyeong offering to be her Omma again if she surrendered? SY needs to pay for all her crimes, not to be forgiven and recognized as a daughter yet again 

 

Both villains crashed into one another at the end of Ep 118, with JH at least surviving the crash. Even yesterday's episode was only 25++ minutes (rather than 27 minutes). The higher-ups at MBC couldn't wait to see this ending too!

 

The whole thing can end by Episode 80 yet they chose to drag it with meaningless plot by another 40 more episodes....simply speechless!
