This JE gets on my nerve. She has tears rolling down eyes almost every episode.

Helpless inside the lift and now helpless again.

Nobody is likeable in this drama and l dont know why l am still watching it.

So much of plastics in this version.

LOL... that is pretty much all of us still watching. thats why this thread is rather quiet. it is not one of those dramas that get a lot of reaction from the viewer...

in the original version, there was kind of frailty and real sadness to the character. you could feel her beaten by life and weary. here, she comes across as a brat almost. her tears seem annoying because you feel like she is very capable of getting herself out of this mess. she is not some damsel in distress. she can be really cunning, vindictive, shrewd and also quite bad tempered. that vulnerability is missing. so rather than feel sorry for her when she is crying, you just want to roll your tears. have felt more sympathy for stupid clingy second leads.

okay, jung min really gets on my nerves. he is so immature!!! sae hoon is not even in the competition and he is so insecure and jealous that he keeps fighting with sae hoon. ji eun is so going to go through the wringer when his jealously comes out. but the only good is she is finally starting to understand what she put sae hoon through and she even apologized. he also apologized for trying to hurt her by buying the old house. so now they are more civil as there is less bitterness. the fire was kind of dumb. why didn't she just rescue herself? eye roll. and given how dramatic her personality is, obviously, she is swooning and back with jung min. in other dramas, you would tend to feel sorry but here, am all for ji eun and her family getting insulted by chairman seo rin. jung min is also a moron. so let him get his heart broken. what goes around comes around! wonder what plan the stepmom has and how she intends to benefit from this father-son feud...

I'm thoroughly convinced that the remake was a grave error; they should've left well enough alone.

Idiot female lead will choose bratty and immature 2nd lead in the end. Seems like the writer wants to right all the wrongs she thinks she made in the first one.

The dailies this cycle are ugh!!!!

miran is a full blown psycho! rather than sae hoon dying from his bad heart, he is more likely to get murdered by this woman. who wants to bet that we are going to see some sort of murder attempt?

the stepmom is really interesting to watch. the mom totally deserved her putdowns. she acted like all her bad behaviour could just be forgotten but the stepmom was having none of that kind of fakeness. even her putting ji eun in place felt totally apt. since ji eun now has goofed up with miran during the show, this is now going to blow up with chairman seo rin. am all for it!

the stepmom continues to get interesting. what did people think of her backstory? so she really hates chairman seo rin and yet living with him for so many years. what is her end game? and it is hard to tell how her talk with miran will play out. is she telling her to stop being an idiot or to get more cunning? how is that no one knows sae hon is really sick? so will ho jin and bok ja fake date?

@foreverempress ~ restaurant ajusshi is nice guy but I had to eye roll when he said mom has a kind heart. ummm, okay, he is totally deluded and way too nice for her...

I actually had a long explanation for this but somehow the entire message except for what you see posted. Mi Ran and her mother are two sides of the same coin, but the mother is just more sophisticated. I think Mi Ran has an extreme form of borderline personality disorder. It is possible that the Chairman bankrupted stepmother's (new wife) family and the creditors came (the scene were her father committed suicide by rope)which led to new wife's (stepmom) rape. Stepmom is telling Mi Ran to get more cunning by hurting Se Hoon and stop hurting herself.

Mr. Jang don't know the depravity of his love interest's heart which is why I believe Se Hoon is the biological son he is searching for.

it is going to be rather amusing if that happens. ^_^ so then ajusshi and mom will be like romeo and juliet that can never be because their kids were once married and hate each other. hahahaha.... with sae hoon's bad heart, either he will die or he will get a transplant. does that mean one of the other characters will die? hope it isn't restaurant ajusshi...

Knowing this writer Se Hoon will die.

did the writer kill off leads in other dramas?

IDK, but she is making Se Hoon a major doormat and insignificant that there is no way she wants Se Hoon to live. Mi Ran committed suicide in the original. She will white knight Jeong Ming so that not only he discovers his father involvement in two deaths, but will publicly blast him with him and Ji Eun tag teaming to take him down.

omo, was anyone else surprised by all the double crossing and deviousness these characters are expressing? this is some office politics! so jung min secretly sends her the email with videos of miran walking -- didn't expect that. thought it would be sae hoon but he decides to stay on the sidelines. she secretly tips off a reporter she knew from many years ago. didn't expect her to be the one -- thought it was stepmom. so ji eun is showing herself to be ambitious, quite vindictive and aggressive. chairman seo rin knew it was stepmom's idea to put miran on stage but he pretends he doesn't know. now with a little digging, he knows she is not after his money but has some sort of grudge against him. yet, he goes home every night. ummm, this is turning into a far different drama than the original! what do folks think? is this change good or bad?
