I don’t know why LSK is getting so much hate for his acting. He’s doing so much without saying much. SJ fascinates me. His body language, the loo he gives or avoids, his words saying one thing but silent actions a whole nother. Bravo LSK. It could do easy for me to hate SJ, but instead he makes me want to unwrap him.

Two SJ things that stood out to me.

1. The rain scene. The man wasn’t going to YR. Whole time his eyes and body were instinctively on JS. He was rooted in spot facing her and silently debating. It’s only when SW moves in obviously going JS, does SJ turn himself to go to YR but his friend steps in. The talk with said friend in the car was interesting. To me it kind of mirrored the husband and wife’s talk of feeling trapped, stuck. You’re already stuck in a journey a course chosen or forced upon you. You feel you can’t go here in there, so you’re going plow through full speed ahead because you’ve come too far, gotten too deep to let go or turn back.

in a way JS is also doing this. She is making herself cold, and resilient. She’s stuck in this situation YR pulled her in. She can’t do this or that but she also can’t stop. She won’t divorce. She’ll become the cruel, petty, avenger that brings down SJ (and YR) because she’s in this too deep to turn back now “I’ll drag you into the pit of hell...I already told you; we’ll both go down.”

2. At the executive thing, SJ warmed JS. He questions her not letting go. Her walking besides him to avenge instead of Ed sling and saving herself through divorce. He’s concerned on her going down (with him?)...he still cares. At the end of the executive thing, SJ was waiting for JS to leave together or for her to say something. To catch a glimpse of her time (even if it’s one of righteous anger). Man looked sad and disappointed when she left without a word. He was hurt and in his feelings. He loves her. He was (still is?) committed to her. YR knew this hence her texts of lies.

YR this episode straight up admits she knew she couldn’t beat/win over JS. She clearly saw she is the type of woman SJ wants and was committed to. She saw clearly SJ didn’t/wouldn’t choose her, so she sent the text of lies and I think a part of SJ is going along with this, because he’s shocked and hurt that JS actually believed it. I think he thought JS would always have faith, belief, and trust in him. I think he thought she’d know better/know him better than simply to believe this all. There was a line in today’s ep about unflinching/unwavering trust . SJ being loyal to the VP because he has unwavering trust in SJ. Did SJ think JS had this for him, but once she feel for YR’s text purpose (break that fragile but strong and overcoming commitment they seemed to have) he feel into some kind of twisted fulfilling prophecy. IDK. Since JS thinks him wicked and capable of such things. He’s going to live as he’s wicked and capable of such things and show her just how bad he can’t actually be \o/ I don’t know lol.

There was no affair and know way that SJ is in love with YR, and she knows it. That’s why she sent the text and plays the damsel his mommy issues (as well as daddy) needs to protect and save much like he had to do for himself and his mom. The preview, the lack of anything expected one sided twinkle eyes coming from YR says it all.  Compare that to the look of surprised awareness, hurt, and he-has-not-let-go  coming from SJ at the part of “SW must like JS.” SJ is observing the action and YR is there to see /observe his reaction. This gonna be good ^evil laugh* I love the two fractions and I’m looking forward to them all going head to head and toe to toe. VP is not at all happy with JS. Yup, SK going soon have to pick, his wife/marriage or VP/the company.

So I’ve had this odd feeling for a couple

of episodes that SH is playing the stereotypical and definitely not appreciated and misplaced idea of the Nobel idiot - the character who thinks they are doing the best for the other person they love by leaving them or sacrificing themself for the other. It doesn’t excuse what SJ is doing, but his acting is

somewhat giving me that feeling.

also, since SJ came out to his friend JH about his affair, I keep thinking back to what JH said - basically that if SJ has something embarrassing JS would know it. I wonder if at the end SJ is going to find out that JS knew about his father and illegitimate status the whole time and has actually supported his mom so that the dad’s original family wouldn’t bother them. I wonder if she did this secretly since he never talked to her about it, waiting for the day he would be comfortable to open up to her about it. That would be the kicker revelation that make SJ realize “what he truly lost” - like his mom says in the preview. Then it’s late because JS realizes she is past the pain and revenge and has become stronger and happier and doesn’t need or want him anymore! Yes!!  (And YuRi is back as a food sample lady because their affair will be made public and the VP dad will have to let them both go).

Wow!  I think you have nailed it!  Absolutely can see this happening.

I just watch episode 13 I love SJ saying to his husband "I'll bring you down with me." with calm down voice and PJS now he will think the war has not yet ended...it just to start. And this how SJ has a chance to grab an opportunity to take revenge taking down  PJS. Going to has more power to the VP so the  President. After PJS drops the offer of the President, so the President kinda good chances its matter of power to the power of the position. But SJ is fighting for her dignity as a legal wife. If I was in the position of SJ ill do anything to fight what is right and she used what makes PJS get down so here the chances the President and get the promotion.

So, now let's see who will win. Now the VP wife has on her side.  Now the VP:angry: knows whats kind of SJ is not easy for a person to get down. And VP must be nervous that his wife getting on the side of SJ:sweatingbullets::sweatingbullets:.

I think if I don't get this out, I would die of high blood pressure! I hate absolutely abhor the cheating husband and that scheming other woman! The despicable couple deserve each other! They are rotten to the core! May they burn in the pits of Hell and lead a sad, tormented life forever! They don't deserve anything in life that is good!

I can't make up my mind whether I hate the husband more than the scheming other woman! We are on Episode 13 and I am yet to see that man emote! He is such a slab of brick! Expressionless, blank, seems to be devoid of any human feelings or emotions! Cold! I have no sympathies for him and there's absolutely no way the writers can save his character, in my opinion, to be honest. No conspiracy theory, no pitiable background story! He made a conscious choice when he decided to cheat and then continue with his 'affair'.

As for the other woman, when will she grow a spine and not use her wiles and her readily available tears to make herself look pitiable and get things done her way? I can't stand her! She is so toxic! She is definitely a wolf in sheep's clothing. I can't seem to sympathize with her. Because as Jang Nara's character said, nothing justifies cheating and deliberately wrecking a family.

My favourite scene has to be the rooftop scene. That was just mind blowing. Jang Nara's expressions were simply mind blowing. Her killer looks when she glared as her husband as if daring him to choose and once if he did, be reduced to ashes! I love her expressions, so much restrained yet dignified anger! She is one classy woman and Yu Ri can never match that class. No money can buy that. Some women are just born classy and Yu Ri isn't one of them. She can never be anything more than a lowly homewrecker!

Battle  lines have been drawn and I am ready to see some carnage! Annihilate the cheating, corrupt team!

I hate seeing the stills. i can see that cheater face. He is happily having fun with the tramp and the wife is getting an IV drip. Luckily SW is there. At least she is not alone.

Another plausible scenario for PSJ to redeem himself is all of this is his dream/imagination. He might just get the task to find Yuri (the VP daughter) and he was imagining if he is involve in an affair and what could possible happened. Probably NJS is still hvg problem of loosing the child an he feels distant with his wife. I know this is very cliche and will make us rage as we invested our time but this is the only possible matter I can accept his redemption. The affair only occur in his head.

Wow!! I've never seen a wife slapping a husband & our na Jung Sun took the whole cake!! Bravo, Jang Na Ra! That's my girl! :D And I always had this thought that the other VIP male member, Ma Sang-Woo must be an important role in the main plot! And tonight we see him caring for Jung Sun! :o Then Sung Jun gets jealous & will he be back for his wife??!

Anyway, we only have 3 days in VIP including today! I am eyeing on the writer that how he/ she is gonna wrap up all these messes one by one! I think Song Mi Na & Lee Hyun A got a strong foundation for their relationships to survive at the end but what's up for park Sung Jun & Na Jung Sun???! Not to mention On Yu Ri!  Is it only a mere affair? Then this series would be a waste of everything, acting, efforts & time!

I really admire the way you think and observe people and things. You're truly deep and keen. About LSY's acting, I thank you for appreciating his efforts and hard-earned talent. Please post more because your comments are really enlightening to read. Actually, we almost have the same observations but I'm not just as good as you at expressing myself.

My two cents about this drama....

I would say I don't believe that YR is the daughter BUT I don't think she is the mistress of The VP either. My guess is she is someone hired to be an imposter so The VP can takes control of the company since none of his dad's children has any progeny. This plan is most likely cooked up by both PSJ and VP the reason why PSJ is sticking closely like a leech to YR. He bit more than he could chews and didn't expect that YR is such a wonderful woman (#pukes) who will "understand" him more and he does fell for her.

Now since Wifey found out about his "affairs" and PSJ can't just simply lets go of his and VP's  grand plan, like it or not he just has to makes a choice and he chose VP/YR at the same time trying to protect Wifey.

Add.

Regarding LSY's acting....I do think he is a bit bland..#DucksFromThe Stones. There are some actors who can conveyed their feeling without words like Kim JaeWook in Who Are You??. But LSY have not reached that level yet.

First and foremost, I'm going to apologize in advance cause this post is lengthy and I'm emotional right now...lol

I finally got to watch episode 13, and what a roller coaster of events and emotions..good and bad, happy and sad.   One thing is for sure, victory always seems to come at a cost in this drama.  As our heroine (JS) rises to be the woman that we waited for her to be; beautiful,  smart,  strong,  and facing all of the obstacles thrown at her head on; our ML heads in the opposite direction. If you didn't think he could get any lower,  he hits a new low and further away from redemption. He's even to the point of blatantly disrespecting and no longer even caring about pretenses regarding the discord between him and his wife and his tender feelings for his "mistress". We are ooing and then cursing on the same breath! Clapping for JS and making a fist at SJ.

@MrsSoJiSub I sooo prefer your read in the characters better than what is being clearly shown to us on screen.  And I would and like JS said in episode 2, give him the benefit of the doubt and believe him if he would just deny it.  However,  it' come to a point that he is not only NOT denying it but admitting to having  been in a relationship with YR. He asks YR why did you send that text to JS after we broke up? Oh so you were in a relationship with her..ok if that's what you want to call what you two have going on. Yuck!

Another thing,  many mention how SJ tells Mr Cha that he is acting reprehensible for JS's own sake but that is only half of what he says.  Yes he heard it's better to be evil than just naughty.  But he then goes on to say "it's better to be clear for JS's sake too". How do I interpret that? Well if it's in the same context as Leah and Daniel, it's kinder to be mean and brutally honest when you're done with a relationship so that the other party understands there isn't a chance for reconciliation so that they can get the hint and move on. It's crueler to be nice and make the other person think that there's a chance of getting back together when there isn't.  He's trying to break it off clean and make his decision clear. Yes... Yes, we know you chose YR.

This then leads me to replay the scene between SJ and Leah in episode 7 about the beauty of the painting she's buying. It's a painting of destruction. Was what she was saying a metaphor or premonition of what was going to happen to the ML? She says the artist, rather than not desiring anything, he'd rather choose path of destruction and temptation.  Similar to the path that SJ has chosen.  Like he mentioned in the hospital confrontation scene w/dad's side of the family,  he's tired of living his life with his head bowed,  living in shame,  and repenting all his life. He has feelings he's never had before and he's running and holding on to it no matter what it costs. Is it love? I highly doubt it but he will most likely not come to this realization until it's too late.   He'll wake up one day to realize the excitement has faded and the feeling of YR being his soulmate has disappearred as he realizes she really isn't like him at all, that even though he grew up in shame and hurt he had managed to still grow up to be a good person, at least before her that is,  while she grew up to be greedy, cruel,  unremorseful, and manipulative.

As for next episode again,  good and bad.  SJ has the nerve to actually tell JS that he is capable of hurting even her! As if she or we need to be reminded of that! What an A@$!  We all got the memo about six episodes ago and still getting the memo.  Thanks!

Then he has the audacity to look perhaps bothered, for a lack of better description on his face,  as WS is being attentive to JS. Am I taking that as he's still in love with her? Nah...he doesn't deserve that much credit based on the character written for him.  He's acting like a petulant child who threw away his toy and only became slightly interested again when someone else wanted to play with it. Like the child in this scenario,  it's not because of love that is the driving his behavior but jealousy. Had it really been love he wouldn't have thrown it/ her away in the first place.

On a last parting thought,  this may be the first kdrama that has a ML go the opposite direction.  Rather starting bad then became good at the end. He started good then became bad to the end.  If that's the case,  this is a cheap trick and undeserving ending which would be solely based on the shock factor rather than an ending that made sense.

Ultimately I'm still hoping for a creative and deserving ending,  one that would be awesome especially if it included the "kicker" that smlinwa described! That JS has always known about his background and she accepted and loved him and his mom regardless.  And yes,  it would be best delivered by his mommy dearest for full affect!  It may be farfetched but a girl can still dream right?!! Lol
