Dang...it'd be one thing if SJ resumed the "affair" with YR either to secure a job promotion from VP for acting as his loyal lapdog (which still makes him a scumbag for putting JS through the unfair pain and humiliation at home AND work) or to gather more intel on and expose the VP (and YR if she's found conspiring with the VP to break down the JS-SJ couple to take over the VIP team and company). But wow, what a new low for SJ...as if JS's smackdown had no effect on the blank dunderhead SJ whatsoever...

 

Looking at the recap and Soompiers' reactions to today's episode and Ep. 14 preview, I'm posting in spoilers my obligatory reaction gif that I've used when I was outraged at some of the "logic fails" AND the ending of Mr. Sunshine:

Oh, poor YR doesn't have friends anymore in the VIP team? Newsflash, YR, it's your fault that you backstabbed your direct supervisor whom every VIP team member- HA, MN, and SW- and VIP clients have known to be competent yet attentive AND protective despite any "unsubstantiated rumors" about said member. Heck, JS herself (and HA, MN, and SW) was first in line in guiding YR through her work training and defending YR when she was facing rejection from other superiors in the company and (now justified) humiliation from the VP's wife due to her lack of work qualifications and rumors of her being the VP's "mistress" (which I've still yet to rule out). YR (and SJ, for that matter) made the decision to bite the hand that fed her, instead of being grateful for all the initial help and consideration from JS and the VIP team that she never deserved in the first place. 

 

Oh, and here's to a new, beautiful friendship (and more ) for HA and JH!!!!!

SW may be young but he is a more responsible man and he knows what a man should do and who to choose if  in an awkward situation. To me he is more matured than PSJ. For now, I think he really feel bad for NJS and he is taking care of her like a dongsaeng taking care of his noona from his useless BIL. 

 

 

Looking at ep 14 preview and how the 2 scumbags are not hiding their relationship anymore and even stay together. I have lost hope of the sweet ending. Maybe the twist the PD is talking about is JS_SJ won't get back together. Initially maybe that is their plan hence the IG post of the happy home. But, they may change their mind midway. I seriously don't think 2 episodes is enough for PSJ to redeem himself even if he is diagnosed with terminal ill cancer for what he had done to NJS. Her sufferings is too much for her to just forgive him.

For SJ to choose to be on VP side instead of the chairman (despite the offer), it must means he really want to be with Yuri. 

What is it that the VP has done for him that SJ cannot break away from him that bad .

If SJ going to be bad until the end, please show that he regret what he has done. I dont want him to die or whatever the end is without him realizing he was WRONG all this while.

Throughout the show, SW has been the awkward, bumbling rookie. If they need to make him a responsible, mature, trustworthy etc. it should have been earlier. Like in my prettiest daughter.

 

SW's character has only taken some importance in the umbrella scene episode 13. 
 

@KDramaLogic  with Mr.Sunshine, it was cops and robbers, war and peace, I would be ready for a heartbreak especially when there would be bravery under fire. But can you expect this show to go from A to Z, anyway X, giving prime screen time to a two-timing creep and also his tart? If they bring SW to the fore, how much can his character be developed in an episode or two when there are HA's, MN's and corporate shenanigans' as well?

Let me start by saying that, usually, I would NEVER, EVER want to judge someone based on her/his parent's past actions or reputation. It's a mentality that, unfortunately, most (patriarchal) societies, including that in South Korea, are culpable of doing at home, school, work, and everywhere, and that's unfair for the children to bear the shame of their parents' overall character.

 

It would be like saying "Oh, JS is not a worthy person for marriage because she came from a broken family whose mother abandoned for an affair and whose father didn't have the aptitude of saving the marriage. Because JS was a product of an unsuccessful marriage, she is doomed to carry the same fate as her father if she ever gets married." 

 

So, I can't vouch for YR's mother's past, since I don't trust anything the VP claims about his alleged past relationship with YR's mother prior to his official marriage. Nowhere in YR's flashback with her mother (in Ep. 12) did it ever insinuate the mother or YR mentioning anything about YR's father, let alone the VP.

 

One thing we can agree on, though, is that YR will really do anything for money and status. I rewatched the dinner scene with YR and HA in Ep. 2, where HA tried to explain to YR that money doesn't guarantee happiness, even for VIP clients. Then YR disputed (rather ominously, in my opinion) that having no money is worse by mentioning her "sob story" about how she was worried about having to pay hospital bills for having to go to the hospital when she fainted from "malnourishment" while working part-time.

I'm so sad to hear there hasn't been any development of SJ possible redemption!!

 

I know SJ is being supper stupid, low,  and pathetic right now  but one of the reasons I can't fully ACCEPT SJ being bad to the end is because we're shown through many different lenses that he is not. At least in the past.

 

If he did have an affair,  that is one blip to his entire existence and history, given it is HUGE blip, it still wouldn't explain how he's acting now versus who his established character is, as per JS he was a man that's quiet but fair and has a good heart. 

 

 His transition to being a bad guy was too late in the series and if he is bad to the end it wouldn't make any sense.   Either there is a lack of insight from the writers not realizing they haven't given us enough material to justify the 180 change in SJ or there is something else going on. Ugh!!

it look like the company selling is decrease because the sex harrasment scandal. from the dramamilk recap VP and CEO have different opinion abt how to keep the selling point after the scandal. VP still targeting VIP consumer inside country, but CEO has diff thought, i can understand because the CEO previously worked in big success company outside the country, so she targeting consumer outside the country. After the announcement of prestigious team that take over VIP team work, i think CEO make a new team that will be headed by NJS and NJS off course put all her friend in vip team which not used by prestigious team anymore. they totally make a new team head by yuri and SJ. so there is a meeting between CEO team and prestigious team as we seen in end scene of epi 13? So they are there to prove who has better solution for the company? VP or CEO?

gosh, i like this battle of 2 team, having sad seeing how stress NJS because of SJ cheating, this battle like give me fresh air. LoL. most important people will see NJS is more bold than SJ or yuri, as we see in many cases for vip team, njs always came with better solution when they facing problems.

because his father is a foreign minister.

And maybe like vip team have a trouble,  and SW's father uses his power and make the prestigious team fall hard.

All what I want is for NJS to win. I was getting so worried thinking of Abba's song, the Winner Takes it All, aka, the SJ, VP and his daughter Yuri taking it all. Now, I am thinking NJS and team will take it all because they are top notch on what they do. And I hope for NJS will forget about that sorry marriage that brought her nothing but heartache and betrayal.
