Yeap, she is too trustful and naive, someone here mentioned before that she see the world from rose-tinted glasses, and she wants to help everyone but at times being "nice" do more harm than good lol. I have read one of the interview news of when the drama airs, the PD talks about how a woman who came from a modern thinking adjust to the values of the past when she time slip to Goryeo and live there for a 10 year period. Im not sure if this article is posted here before because I came halfway here in this discussion forum. I am going to post below. It is an interesting article that shed lights on the drama. I think in modern thinking, as people are more "civilized" and we have laws, we can be righteous. But back then, it's more about the survival of fittest and social status, the one with the most power and money wins and control others. And people hold their life by the sword. People can just kill you or assassinate you. I think she will learned the hard way from the past. 

"Viewers have grown to enjoy the fusion genre, and I tried to add a more modern touch to that genre," Kim Kyu-tae, the drama's director, told reporters at SBS TV headquarters in western Seoul after a screening of the first two episodes on Friday. "It's hard to define, but I think we'll able to create a genre that's different in style from the existing one." From the first two episodes at least, it was clear that the producers had focused on appealing to the young and trendy, with electric music playing in the background as eyeliner-wearing men showed off their chiseled bodies. -No wonder you see all that stuff, including make-up, cosmetics and facial masks lol .

10 year period - this is a clue. If you notice, the drama follows closely the time-frame of the Goryeo dynasty reign. 

Wang Geon Taejo: 918 - 943 reign (25 years)

Wang Mo Hyejong: 943 - 945 reign (2 years, ep 14 beginning is in 945, Hyejong second year of reign)

Wang Yo Jeonjong: 945 -949 reign (4 years , ep 15 is still 945 when Yo reign)

Wang So Gwangjong: 949 - 975 reign (26 years, Gwangjong dies in July 975 at the age of 51 due to a serious illness) 
 

Hae Soo in Goryeo only for 10 years. I will edit my post once i do my investigation and go into Korea's history. So interesting!!! I can read about Wook and Eun.

absolutely....the cinematography is really beautiful. and being a photographer myself i can understand how much hard work director, cinematographer and their whole team must have done to give us such gorgeous outcome.

ahhh Indian Kdrama fan...nice to meet you chingu.....and last line is so correct. we dont have even few people who actually feel Kdramas worth considering to watch. when i say my colleagues or frnds that I watch Kdramas they react as if I am crazy and my life is wasted....

I don't know much people who likes Asian drama close to me too, just few friends. But I live in a small town)) God bless Internet for the opportunity to find so interesting and amazing friends who can share with you your obsession)

 Most likely a typo. Most popular camera to shoot for high resolution is the 4K camera, which shows beautifully on 4K TVs. I wish I had a 4K TV to watch this show on.  If you want to learn more about cameras, this discussion is very informative. 4K refers to the amount of information the camera is able to capture.

Ji Mong probably knows it's all nonsense with the astrology but has to cover for his foreknowledge as a time traveler. An astrologer is more palatable to the masses of the time than a seer or a time traveler. I'm sure though that he has studied the stars and is comfortable reaming off pointless facts and tidbits about them. He needs a reason to be close to the King. Hence all the stars malarkey. 

On another note, I finished a new MV and it got uploaded to YouTube... happy days  It's a few scenes set to Christina Perri's 'A Thousand Years'. Boyce Avenue cover the song. I thought it apt for how their love (I'm hoping) will span a thousand years or more. Especially if the theory they meet back in the future turns out to be true. 

 

 

Loved the BTS of the kiss. Lee Joon Gi is so cute doing his happy dance after kissing her   And when he licked his lips it might have been from her lip balm. Oh the feeels ....

To think if this drama was actually a documentary and not a creative undertaking of history, and if Soo does leave/die,  that means poor So would have had to spend 24-26 years as King without Soo.  That is soooo long without the love of his life.  Then to take it up a notch (fantasizing), it would take a thousand years again before they would meet again in the modern world? This is so sad, it's breaking my heart. It's just too unfair! I'm sitting here just feeling my heart break for these two fictional characters.  If I weren't so sad, I'd be laughing at my silly self.

Scarlet Heart: Ryeo has bewitched the world since its premiere in August! We only have five more episodes with the magical drama that resurrected historical figures and presented them in a more creative light. Whether you loved or hated the production's twist on history, you have to admit the story itself is thrilling. It's a shame the incredible 15 hour ride we have taken will come to an end very soon. We all know it can't end this way! I have listed reasons Scarlet Heart: Ryeo needs to give viewers a season 2. 

1. International K-drama fans adore the series! During it's first month on air, the historical gem was viewed one billion times in China. I'm guessing the flower boys and the imminent love story hooked everyone from day one.

2.  It would be amazing to see Hae Jin/Hae Soo (IU) time travel to another time in history. Would her true love find her no matter what dynasty or century?

3. We all want to see the princes reincarnated in Hae Jin's present day. Would they still be brothers? What type of careers would each one choose? Their are so many questions that need to be answered!

4. Viewers need more Wang Jung (Ji Soo) and Baek Ah (Nam Joo Hyuk) screentime. These guys have a bromance we all envy in real life, but in Scarlet Heart:Ryeo  they didn't have many scenes together. I would love to see more brotherly love between these two.

5. We are dying to see what Wang Eun (Baekhyun) and his wife Soo Deok (Z Hera) would be like in the 21st Century. Would Soo Deok still be a fighter? If so, she would be highly praised instead of frowned upon like she was in the past.

6. IU needs to have several songs on the soundtrack! Her singing voice is incredible. I honestly don't know why the current soundtrack doesn't feature new or past songs from the beloved songstress. Scarlet Heart: Ryeo is missing out!

June: OH MY GOSH! The kiss finally happened where she has given him her consent!! I wish this would have been the first kiss to be honest! I want more kisses too from this couple!

  Tiara: The time hops make me feel we’ve missed out on the character’s growth. We see some characters together and they come across as awkward and not as close as people who’ve been friends for years. I agree, Soo and So getting together has taking way too long than necessary. As an adaption choice, I wouldn’t have minded them being together earlier. I actually liked the ending for Scarlet Heart. It was a bittersweet ending with a flash of hope and a possible season 2. I just wished the second season was as good as the first.

The pragmatic romantic strikes back as Wang So stages a PRIVATE birthday celebration for Hae Soo - STARGAZING - because no gift on the whole Earth is good enough for her, ONLY THE STARS WOULD DO FOR HER. And the only reason why HE DOESN’T PLUCK THEM AND GIVE THEM TO HER IS BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO FAR AWAY.

“I’m telling you, that’s called a fixed star. Oh, that’s an anchor star… Have you forgotten how much I know about astronomy?”

Says the man who actually MOVED INTO A FREAKING ASTRONOMICAL TOWER BECAUSE HE WANTED TO SEE THE STARS THAT REMINDED HIM OF HER! There is no point trying to hide it now, So-ya, everybody already knows how hopelessly in love with her you are! And now it turns out, HE EVEN STUDIED THOSE STARS AS WELL, becoming an expert, and now he is showing off in front of her, trying to to woo her with his knowledge! 

Their clash about stars is interesting from many reasons - once again, the star-crossed lovers are discussing the stars, but futhermore there are their different views and knowledge of the subject. So, the pragmatic romantic, is presenting the scientific approach (or at least how astronomers were able to describe the stars at that time - the reason why he says C. is an anchor is because the constellation creates a “W” shape on the summer night sky which reminded people of an anchor), while HS counters with the romanticized mythology.

The awesome thing is that So isn’t laughing at her story and is actually listening to her curiously and taking everything she says at a face value; as if it all was an absolute truth. It’s obvious he is noting it all down, forever engraving it in his memory. His reaction is very similar to the times she showed her talked about Bulgarian rose oil, drew the emoji, shared her views on motherhood and freedom. It might be a hint, that just like in the novel/cdrama, that one day HS would tell So she is from the future and he will believe her.
