The cast are having fun at the set, even the director takes part in the fun. (The director is the one wearing the grey shirt with soccer ball prints.)

I don't know what's Jasper doing with that grandpa glasses and looking at Mandy like that, lol..........

The cast definitely seems like they're getting along well, especially as the story progresses... Mei Wen (Sara Xiu) also played as Jasper's aunt in IUUI so I guess they've a pretty good relationship as it was reported that Mei Wen jokingly pats Jasper's butt while sending the drunk YQ home in a scene in upcoming episode, haha!

The ending have to be Mei Wen's comparison picture with her sibling (a doggie with similar hairstyle), hahahaha!

(very) Brief summary: The villagers misunderstands YQ and AX because of some circumstances. YQ finds out that AX have been waiting for a person and the feelings she have towards that person may be similar to his own feelings towards AX (love&hate). YQ tries to ignore AX's kindness but finds himself swayed by every single action she does. Just when YQ tries to forget about the past and confronts AX, a special guest arrived in the hostel, someone who came to the hostel to find her "boyfriend", Xia You-Qian. 

(I guess the secondary female character is making her entrance in ep5... Hopefully she won't be the antagonist type of character.. sighh)

@LavelyShai It should be around 20ep, most SETTV weekly dramas are around this range.

Judging from the new preview, the secondary female character doesn't seem so bad (She was asking YQ whether there's anyone in the hostel that he's worried will misunderstand their relationship) and this writer's past work doesn't have super bad secondary female characters (only selfish ones but they're not THAT bad) so I'm hopeful, I don't think this writer will go the makjang route. Based on the character descriptions, she's YanZe's younger sister (but they're of different fathers) and also YQ's benefactor, the person who helped to give him a makeover...

Anyways, Ep5's rating broke 2. it records 2.20, a new high!!!

BUT I had mixed feelings about yesterday episode, I was frustrated to be honest. The 2nd female lead is the typical annoying type of secondary character. She's such a princess *rolls eyes*. I'm disappointed as this writer wrote Le Xuan (from Pleasantly Surprised), such a nice secondary female lead before but it seems that Yong Qing won't be the nice type, sigh.... (more about yesterday's episode under the spoiler cut)

Plus! Nothing is solved yet, their misunderstanding is still left hanging there so I thought it's weird for YQ to be suddenly warm and then suddenly cold, even the misunderstanding between the villagers are solved so "suddenly". Anyways, I really need their misunderstandings to be solved quickly as my patience is running thin because of the jumpy pacing of Ep5 (especially the second half of ep5 or maybe because the second female lead irritated me)...

Finally caught up with epi's 4&5 back to back .. to be honesty i'm really not liking how the story is shaping  up..it like we traveled for  hours and ended up  no where ..the pace seems too slow..how many epi is series exactly gonna be?? i hate how we are no where with this misunderstanding thing and i really feel it to weird that how YQ keeps switching back and forth between being a dough and a sweet heart ..tell me that i'm not the only one who is getting some  neg vibs from  second female lead?? it  feel like she going to be  the typical sticky princess from our drama land  who claim a right on lead guys irrespective to his feelings ...epi 5 was totally a let  down for me ..i hope thing gets fast paced a little and i really hope our second female isn't going to be a annoying  one..!!!

@IrisEva Only the ending song have been released so far. This drama should have around 20ep. I agree... the 2nd female lead seems annoying just from her entrance alone. I actually like ep2~4 but not so much about ep5, it's like they're going the round-a-bout about their misunderstanding. Sigh.... The writers made me excited for ep5 previews and then crush it with the appearance of the 2nd female lead. As long as this doesn't go the makjang route, I'll stick with it for the sake of Jasper. I'm actually warming up to the OTP but it feels strange to see YQ being warm for a second and then turn cold again for the next second, it kills all the "romance" for me. Writers! Buck up please!

@c_gunawan541: for a 20 epi show the paced is pretty slow ..isn't it ?? and ditto even i liked those 3 epi's but epi 5 really seems point less to me..YQ misunderstanding AX as always but is joined by the villagers this time around..and then all of sudden everything go alright only to make way for the 2nd lead who seem to be a bratty princess ..i mean what the point in the whole misunderstanding in the first place ?? aren't the one we had enough for now?? i really hope that they don't go on a makjang route and make a mountain out of this misunderstandings .. YQ's to and fo-ing between cold heart and sweet heart bothers me too!!

^I'm pretty sure they'll clear up the misunderstandings, maybe next ep or ep7 (that's the latest I can endure... lol). I think it's only ep5's pacing that is pretty grating actually. Hopefully, they'll pull it back next ep.

I've caught up again and I'm still not sure how I feel about this. I guess I'm liking the drama more than when it started, but it's not addictive to me, except for Jasper's eye-candy appearance and the music. I agree with you @IrisEva that the show itself is getting kind of slow for a 20 episode drama. I thought the misunderstanding with An Xi in episode 5 was kind of weak...I mean, kind of really hard to buy (even for dramaland) because 1) why would she be that draft as to try to "cheer him up" when he said he was having a meeting with the village chief?! You'd just assume they were talking business 2) You'd probably be able to hear the speakers if they were all over town and the people at the hostel could hear it 3) There wasn't really a point to that misunderstanding? I mean, it kind of led to the discussion about how she'd once been that way before in high school...But still, it wasn't enough to clarify the misunderstanding with You Qian?! I found that a little hard to believe. Also her actions and costume really annoyed me. I know An Xi is meant to be kind and friendly and maybe not be overly bright, but there are times where I find her actions really down right cringe-worthy and quite irritating. Mandy acts really well, but I don't like this drama character trope of the nice-caring-but-ditzy-and-not-too-bright girl...it wouldn't hurt just to make her just a little bit more sensible right?

And I guess I'm weird (And I don't know what's wrong with me lately because I never use to be this way...) But I'm kinda intrigued with the second girl, Yong qi. Yes, she's bratty and cold and I'll probably hate her character in a few episodes (...Though I'm the lone ranger in the Murphy's Law of Love forum, because I still think Zhi Yu is fine as a second lead 15 episodes in). But I'm fascinated with her connection to You Qian. I mean, I've read the updates on this forum...but wonder what motivated her to give You Qian a make-over?! And none of her story is fully revealed yet, so there's hope that she could be more than a one-dimensional bratty girl. I really want to see her change and maybe be friends with An Xi. Or maybe her evil schemes will add some spice to this drama....I guess I'm not too disgusted with her introduction, after all.

One of the things I like about this drama though is that it does seem to even out the point of view and tell the story from both the guy and girl's perspectives compared to a lot of other dramas. You Qian has quite as much of a backstory as An Xi, which isn't always the case in other dramas. The flashbacks really help because sometimes I think I enjoy them more than the present day events. But I'm hoping no more of this 'hot and cold' character with You Qian. Jasper is so much better when he's his own sunny self.

@c_gunawan541  Thanks for pointing out the ending song change...I'll have to have a good listen in the next episode. I also agree with you - Mandy looks better with her hair up. Definitely more youthful. I think that she looks older with her hair down...Or is it that Jasper has such an adorable baby-face that it's hard to look young next to him? Haha! To reply to an old topic (And I'm promise it'll be one of the last times I mention PS), I feel towards this drama, probably what you felt towards Pleasantly Surprised - I like it ok, but I don't love it (at least not yet). I agree that You Qian has a lot of depth and they could have developed Ah Jie's character a bit more. But I also found the reversal of the cute-warm-girl/mature-cool-boy combination to be quite appealing. And it was amazing that despite the floral pants, Jasper still showed his charm and warmth to win a bigger fan base. Hehe, true skill to make a character hot when he has such weird fashion... not that I'm complaining now that he's dressed better. For me, WISYA is more of a return to the conventional story and character dynamics. But I'm liking the flashbacks in this drama. And the Jasper eye-candy....speaking of which, thanks for all the info on the photobook and SPOP, can't wait to get my copy of each to look into Jasper's lovely photos ^^

 @Karina_S I totally agree with you. The music matches each scene so well...I really like that "I miss you..." song too and I'm hoping to be able to get the songs from WISYA when the OST is released. I also really like the opening song by GJ...but then again, I think I really like all of GJ's music (because I also really like the ending song for Murphy's Law of Love which he did too). I also agree that I feel less of a need to cheer You Qian on compared to Ah Jie, mainly because You Qian has this hot-and-cold side to him, but once he drops his grudge and stops acting that way, An Xi will totally find him attractive (And he doesn't have an evil brother to stop him). But You Qian himself is a really interesting character (it was interesting to find out why he held that grudge for instance), as is the new second lead Yong qi. Can't wait to find out more about their interactions, because so far he's acting like he's whipped since she's come into the scene...
