The person who disappointed me the most wasn't even Richard, it was MJ's father. There's a huge natural calamity half way across the world, you haven't gotten any concrete information about the situation on ground and all you can do is try to arrange your daughter's marriage with Shi Jin to Shi Jin's poor father who looks uncomfortable as hell, but obviously since the other guy is his senior he can't even tell him that this conversation is highly inappropriate given the situation. 

MJ's daddy, you're really really obsessed with Shi Jin in a creepy manner. It's like he needs to have Shi Jin's DNA mixed into his family tree at any cost.

I wish she would back hug him... time stop for a while, silent, then she confess... but... in their current situation right now, it would be a bit awkward if she do that... but.. who cares... hehehehe...

This is the first drama that is shown simultaneously in both countries  

As for the KBS streaming site, the Chinese (Mandarin) subs are already there ... but still need the English one

I think the same too. YSJ being trapped might be the next cliffhanger... one week of torment!

But it seems that this drama has really a different approach: I have been always wondering why this drama was called the descendants of the sun. But now, after this episode I believe, I've got the answer because it is clear that the romance isn't the main topic, rather the lives of doctors and soldiers (especially from the UN who have a different function than national soldiers) in devastated countries (earthquake or civil war). Sun is represented in the Greek mythology by Apollo. This god is associated with medicine and healing, but also with ill-health and plague. We all know that the sun symbolises hope and care too. So YSJ and MY as soldiers and doctors represent this god: the two faces, healer and bringer of disease.
