Guest myphim
The fourth bomb went off as our hero drove right out the window and into the street.Um, weren't they on the top floor earlier?
Guest Anomalous
@myphim Yes, they were definitely on the upper floor of the building previously. I, too, wonder how they got down to street level so fast. ) He's definitely a speedy driver.
Guest farstrep
He should thank his lucky stars that he's not in the office when the explosion occurred.Someone's away with the fairies?I like the way the director uses the meeting as a means to relate the back story that led to these bombings. It makes me feel as if I am part of the team as well. Yes, guys, you can call me Detective Farstrep. The villains and victims in the back story. I’m too lazy to type the entire back story but suffice to say, one of the guys in the pyramid is taking out the rest with those miniature cubes – bombs. Guest farstrep
I'm glad to see Ki-soo’s fighting spirit still intact after the crazy deliveries, bombings and stupendous car chase. What's with that speed racer outfit? Does he think he will miraculously turn into Giacomo Agostini when he dons that? Duh?
Guest myphim
Now that all the bombs have been successfully delivered, our mysterious villain decided to give the lovers a break to have clams. )Once again, CS tried to tell people that she has a bomb in her head. )
pechumori
@myphim, mi casa es su casa. Because of the Faithlings, thisthread became so much alive. I love you all for that!@sia3, hello too. nice to meet you.Hi, this is the point of view of someone who watched themovie for the second time, after almost a year of having seen it.The nice thing about reviewing a movie is the fact that sinceyou already know the plot, you are no longer concerned aboutwhat's going to happen next and looking forward to the climaxor the ending of the film. You now have the time to pay closer attention to the minute details of the film which you may haveoverlooked before. After a year (and after having watched so many other movies and dramas) I have forgotten some of the scenes. The explosions and the stunts still amazed me.My favorite scenes are when LMK jumped off the building withhis motorbike and when he flipped inside the tunnel like a guyon top of a skateboard. That was a really cool scene.I was amused by the scene of the biker policeman who tried to tell Chun Sim about his feelings and each time a vehicle wouldpass by and his words would be left inaudible. The woman at the back of LMK at the opening scene was typecastedfor her role. Knowing that people would be encouraged to ride the motorbikeswiftly after having seen this movie, the writers were quick towarn the audience through the line, "One man's pleasure isanother man's pain". So true. In trying to enjoy one's selfby entering into a drag race for example, there is that possibility of hurting an innocent bystander.I'm still impressed with effort they put in creating the stunts. So sorry for the guy who got injured during the filming. I noticed they did the back bending stunt twice in this movie, the one which was made famous by the Matrix trilogy. And atthe scene where Chun Sim was in the van with the girl groupand she was trying to get off and ride onto LMK's motorbike,it seems like she was wearing a harness as support, otherwise she would have fallen on the streets already.I still like the movie. I loved having joined the movie night and meeting all the Faithlings who have watched the movie too.I hope to see you all in another thread. P.S @farstrep, I also love K movies, I would love to join you all once again,if it's ok with everyone
Guest farstrep
What a fine day to spend at the beach!! I want to go there right now sans the possibility of an explosion! Is this supposed to be funny? But I am not laughing? The bomber calls for a time-out and gets them to enjoy some medium-sized clams. Of course, they have got to foot their own bill. Hm. They won't suffer from diarrhea right? I don't want to see them entering and exiting the washroom for the rest of the film. This lady must have thought she's having a mime game with Choon-sim. Guest farstrep
@pechumori: Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. It's nice to have you here with us. We'll be organizing another K-movie night soon and we'll keep you in the loop as to the details. Thank you once again for creating this thread. This is why the bomber wants a time-out. He probably wants to see the result of this gang war before executing his next move. That's smart, making them fight amongst themselves before swooping in for the last kill. The gangs disperse at the first wail of the police sirens. Guest Hanjae
LOL I spent the entire first half of that clam scene waiting for the bomber to tell him to bomb the shop for some inexplicable reason... and then he tells them to eat some clams. =)) =)) =)) If he wasn't going to foot the bill, why didn't he tell them to eat large ones? Might as well go all out if you're going to go at all, right?
Pearlytears
I am definitely loving the massive explosions in this movie lol. If one car goes down, it is like a domino effect, 30 some has to follow behind. Hahahahaha. I thought it was sweet of lee min ki to have taken the helmet and wore it instead but I don't get it, couldn't he have just easily thrown the helmet and ran? But nooooo, he buckles it tight on. Guest myphim
CS got drunk while they were eating and caused a ruckus, so she got her piggyback ride to a hotel room. )Wow! I have not seen a piggyback ride for several months in kdrama. )
Guest farstrep
I think this is the better part of the film, the other being the scene at the shopping district. With Choon-sim and Ki-soo on the road most of the time, this film has many opportunities to showcase Korea’s scenic sights to the international audience and the director does this beautifully.Six years later and she still hasn't upgraded the brand of her cosmetics?I wonder how long they haven't talked to each other. Although this is sadistic, I'm glad they got involved in this odd delivery that has gone south. It forces them to be together and inevitably, creates numerous chances for them to communicate with each other and open their hearts up to each other. Guest farstrep
It's hilarious how Ki-soo has a real emergency on his hand (Choon-sim and Ki-soo cannot be more than 10m apart) but the lady insists that he pays for his meal before he runs after Choon-sim. On another note, it reminds us once again how ridiculous Ki-soo’s predicament is and makes us question the true motive of the bomber. Why does he need to involve Ki-soo in his operation if his only goal is to take out those people in the pyramid?I half expected Tommy Henriksen's "I See The Sun" to break out in the background. The only difference here is that there is no sun. And there's nothing uplifting about this scene that's unfolding before my eyes. Sigh!A romantic scene should always include a piggyback but something's off about this scene.

Guest farstrep
After an entire day spent under the hot sun and on the dusty road, Choon-sim feels sticky and uncomfortable in her outfit and takes a shower. The irony of the not-so-waterproof mascara...What could have been ranked as the top scenery in this film...… is marred by the helmet. Be gone, you darn helmet! Guest farstrep
The couple seemed so happy with each other. Why did Ki-soo betray her for another girl? Or it's not what it looked like? Why does she look so contemplative in this picture? Is she thinking about their future together? This scene ties in with the scene we saw at the beginning of the film. Oh, please bless the poor soul! =)) =)) Even his love confessions are drowned by the loud noises of the vehicles driving by. Not once, not twice but thrice. Sigh! His name is apparently not synonymous with good luck.
