randomly saw this trailer on youtube and I was confused to read in the notes that this was remake of "my fellow citizens" -- I didn't finish that kdrama but it was nothing like the vibes of this remake. not sure whether to facepalm or not.

yea, the video was interesting to watch because these planes carry a lot of weight. so it feels like the engine is huffing and puffing as it lifts off.
so the cockpit is purposely designed on bottom so that hull is on top. these beluga planes were specifically designed to carry airplane parts such as flaps and parts of wings to other manufacturing facilities. so the top of the hull opens up and they can put in cargo like this.
while I was watching the video, I was thinking "who came up with this design and were they watching fish documentary when they came up with it?"

watching random vid about cargo planes and seeing this for the first time -- beluga airbus cargo plane. I can't decide if it is strange looking or ugly cute like a large dolphin with wings.

your question made me realize that this is not something we see in western movies/dramas. however, across asian dramas -- beating chest or above the heart or hitting their head with hand (facepalm repeatedly) is normal to see in dramatic situations.
if I had to guess, my assumption is that it translates from a much more louder (compared to some other cultures) mourning rituals where people can beat their chest in grief, loudly sing a song of grief or really wail. so when in great anxiety or distress, some of that shows up in dramatic situations as well and not just at funerals.
not sure if that answers your question but interesting to think about since it never struck out as something different to me.

reading the comments in the article -- seems she had some roles in italian movies/dramas but then sort of peaked and then disappeared. not sure why knews is labeling her as english actress because she apparently didn't have much roles in english movies/dramas.....

@partyon ~ am still reeling from prince harry's book. so no energy to be surprised over song joong ki. but I am kind of confused how they met and what language they speak. according to some, she was his italian tutor on vincenzo but others are saying that based on bluray release which had BTS, there was a different tutor there. so curious how they met. also, she must not be much of actress and sounds like someone who played side characters or background like the waitress from time to time. but how many kids she have -- 1 or 2? all confusing.

exactly; he really does not understand what sandeul and baram went through. not really. if he did, he wouldn't be trying to stop them both. he feels guilt but he really does not get the driving need for revenge. that is one reason, they feel like a bad fit. end of the day, his entire family is dirty.

Gosh have we seen anyone in this drama smile or laugh in a while? Except for Baek San. He laughs too much.
baram has become a dreadful bore since she got together with taepoong.
the guy is a such a wet blanket. any move she makes, he will have to complain "but that is too dangerous".
part of me thinks, he is either:
1. chicken -- super scared of appa kang
2. devious -- does not want appa kang to be harmed
3. stalker -- does not want baram to disappear if her revenge ends.
at least before, she had a bit of snark when she was with sandeul and he gave her a free hand to run around and create havoc. she was more entertaining to watch.
for the sake of the drama viewers, she needs to break up with tae poong and go full on revenge mode.

thanks for the list @Sleepy Owl; while there is no drama I am looking forward to in particular, at least the synopsis or poster looks interesting for some. hopefully it is far more interesting than 2022 where I only finished 2 dramas.

when taepoong was single, he was more interesting. now that he is married to baram, his pants are strange, his sweaters look too bulky and he looks tired. plus, he seems to be a boring worry wart who sounds like a wimp. when sandeul was with baram, he was just like taepoong. boring. now that he got dumped, his wardrobe is cooler looking, he says snappy things and is unpredictable.
conclusion: whoever is in relationship with baram becomes boring.

me having opposite reaction where am feeling bad for him. first he wakes up to find out that he had been declared dead. then he has to physically recover while finding out that his fiance who he was set to marry within weeks got married to someone else. his mind is still not adjusted to that. plus taepoong is a kang. that family is hideous. father willfully kills people, mom and grandma ignore and sister is full on stalker psycho. would you trust a guy from that family? sandeul has run out of trust when it comes to taepoong -- can't blame him. who would trust the son of the man who tried to have you killed?

the villian lady got a lot of chatter for her role and acting. the drama was a bit of a parody and had political farce undertones. so not sure if it was more funny to korean audience but after a point, I got bored.
it wasn't like the american trailer with some hot romance. instead, we meet the couple after they have been married for a while and kind of bored with each other.
let me guess -- abs possibilities?
