I have the same problem as you! hahahahha.. these days I keep track on MDL. otherwise, I would forget as well. even the dramas I did check out were so forgettable that they all are a blur in my memory....

I can't believe there were 130 dramas and...... I only managed to finish 2. 

I won't even say I liked the 2 I finished. but just that I managed to get through them. 

5 dramas were dropped - they weren't bad but they didn't hold my interest after the midway point. kept thinking I will go back to finish but never did.

so altogether I checked out 7/130 = 5% of dramas that aired only.

thanks for the tag @melodictrain; sort of gave up on the drama a while back. just reading the forum here. might peek in if I ever manage to schedule this drama in. but as of now, it is on hold/dropped.

is it just the acting or the way it is written?? -- baram's grief and anger have a very raw edge to it. she is very clear about her losses, in total agony and is not going to roll over and play 'I forgive you'.

I really don't see her accepting tae poong in her heart truly. she sees him as part of the system. while she will use him, she will not give him her heart because that would mean accepting this family and she cannot do that given how much they have taken from her. she is going to go through her plan and carve them out from the inside and yes, taepoong will be hurt from all sides. 

so there are only two roads for taepoong -- either he dies while trying to protect baram (and sandeul) or he leaves for US or somewhere else in the world. basically all taepoong can do is atone for the sins of his parents, his grandmother and his sister. thats too many people's wrongdoing on his shoulder to atone for. 

it is also clear that what baram feels for sandeul is very deep and passionate indeed. not something easily forgotten in a moment. so there is no real room for taepoong here. 

if mama jung dies, then there is no way for baram to return to a happier self. my guess is that in the end, she will regain some semblance of family she has lost with mama jung and sandeul returned to her.

the thing is they could have figured out different ways of finding fame but I think they are both very superficial and no depth.  all this publicity is to get more adoration but it just keeps backfiring on them.

am suspicious that they hang out with some very weird people in california. otherwise, some would have given their honest feedback saying you are both off and maybe there is a better way to become famous? or do they just kick out everyone who gives them a view they don't like?

it will be nasty nasty nasty whenever that happens. 

in some ways, get why he is so unhappy. change in financial status is always stressful. he is also kind of jobless and has to figure out a new career and he likely does not know where exactly is his niche. that is also very stressful. so he is trying different things and nothing is working. it doesn't help that their ambitions don't match their talent levels. then there are the issues with family and they just want to moan to everyone. the more you moan to everyone, the more unhappy you are. 

plus, both are confused on what they really want. they want adoring fame but also no criticism. so yea, they will eat each other up while they slowly inch their way to the inevitable court case. or maybe they will just be miserable together for the rest of their lives because they can't bear to lose and have people (who were expecting them to crash) 'win'.

no idea what he is trying to imply with that. as we age, people's features change a bit. he seems weirdly obsessed with his mother. did you read about him visiting some shaman or psychic or something and something about ghost of diana floating around? I was half paying attention to a local news clip where the anchor very sarcastically said this is like one of those movies that has every genre you can think of -- action, comedy, tragedy, romance and horror.

yea he is definitely coming as a bit off. but even outside arranged marriage, people choose their partners on a set of criteria. so many romance movies, the person will dump the FL/ML saying "you are not what I need" -- so it happens in every place. like you said, kate and william seem happy precisely because she is doing well and thriving. it wouldn't have mattered if they were in love but she was super unhappy to carry out her duties. 

so am reminded of this gossip I heard about this family -- very rich but they are settled in a semi-rural area. the lady hated the place even though the landscape was stunning because she was from a really large city and was used to a certain city lifestyle. they were fine when they were long distance but couldn't do it when they were together. result: divorce. so people were like he should have chosen better, someone who could enjoy that kind of laidback semi-rural lifestyle.

so whether it is arranged or dating or marrying for love, we are making those judgements all the time no? will this person fit me? will I fit them? so it seemed very naive of him to say that only they were in love. by him talking about the mould, he is already acknowledging subconsciously that meghan wasn't fit for the role and neither did he care. so they were already out before the megxit began in some ways.

I feel that he is surrounded by some very strange people who have no inkling of what people in the real world think. thats why they are giving details which they think will shock us about the royal family but instead, people are flummoxed by him.

for example, I was really perplexed that he said (in netflix?) he was the only love match while others were chosen to fit the mould.

my first reaction was "so what????? how is this a bad thing?" -- I really don't understand his view.

all these matchmakers on reality dating shows clearly say that evidence shows shared values and goals are what leads to longetivity for couples. so you can't be making a decision on just phermones or hormones but there has to be a practical aspect. especially for this family in the spotlight, it makes sense to be cautious and ask if that person will be able to handle the pressure.

even with a dating app, people have a list of requirements. thats just human nature -- many of us are trying to see if someone fits what we need. so why is this a problem and him looking down on it? it feels like oversell of them as some amazing couple. 

and he is so weird in making it sound like love is some amazing thing. every week, we hear of crime stories where a tragedy occured precisely because they went against the advice of family and friends and chose someone horrible. so to sell love as some amazing thing -- very rose coloured glasses. shrug.

very much so! they are saying he callously mentioned stuff about his army experience just to get security. I am totally appalled at that more than all the other rubbish. am just reading reactions on this gossip forum. there is apparently a rumour that the original ghostwriter (who is a well-known pulitzer winner) actually quit or was fired in the middle and it was taken over by someone else or the couple themselves. that is why the writing is of such poor quality. 

because of the ghostwriter, people were expecting something written well even if it was meant to be explosive. this is just bizarre. like a teenager rambling about things while under doing some haze.

it was good. we had a family reunion and we ended up having lunch at this beach resort. we had actually booked another restaurant but the traffic was so bad that we ended up stopping at this one instead as it was relatively free. it was really nice to see the sea and have a nice lunch and just take in the air. but the drive back was a nightmare. what was supposed to take little over an hour took 3.5. hours. it was such a nightmare. at one point, the bottleneck was so bad that it took one hour to pass 5 kms. it seems like everyone wanted to go out and celebrate the new year lunch after not doing anything for over 2 years. 

we were exhausted to say the least when we got home.

looking through MDL and I only completed 2 kdramas this year @partyon; so nothing to really contribute. maybe the prof guy in love ft marriage and divorce S3 who couldn't believe his ex-wife fell in love again and the new guy was rich!
