tvN’s “Record of Youth” has revealed new stills of Park Bo Gum and Shin Dong Mi.
The drama is about young people who struggle for their dreams and their love amidst the harsh realities of the modeling industry. Park Bo Gum stars as Sa Hye Joon, an aspiring actor and model, Park So Dam stars as Ahn Jung Ha, an aspiring makeup artist, and Byun Woo Seok stars as Won Hae Hyo, a model who wants to make a name for himself without relying on his family. Shin Dong Mi plays Sa Hye Joon’s manager Lee Min Jae.

Previously, Sa Hye Joon, who decided to pursue his dream of becoming an actor, met the turning point of his life by deciding to take a small role in a movie. Despite the fact that he only appeared in five scenes, he still did his best. However, he struggled with the brick of reality, and the next episode will show his attempt to break it down.
In the newly released photos, Sa Hye Joon calmly faces his manager Lee Min Jae with serious eyes. Her hair is a messy nest, and she does everything she can to avoid eye contact with him. Attention is focused on whether Sa Hye Joon will be able to count on Lee Min Jae to help him reach his ultimate goal.
The production team commented, “Unexpected things are waiting for Sa Hye Joon and Shin Dong Mi, who have started a new challenge. Please wait to see the exciting and touching way the two of them will overcome this.”
The fifth episode of “Record of Youth” will air on September 21 at 9 p.m. KST.

I am not really good cook in my opinion. I did also cook for myself during college days. Only thing I really can cook well is Omelette. Can cook different types of omelettes, being egg lovers, me and my room-mates would try different recipes every time we had plans for omelette.

Hi @gumtaek! Sorry just saw your post. Think the data is based on RACOI Korea Communications Commission (KCC) Broadcasting Value Information Analysis System.
It is reported that RACOI, for Week Two of September, i.e. 13/9 to 20/9, sees Park Bo-Gum ranking 1st place and Record of Youth also ranking 1st place in terms of the widespread internet reactions based on the international internet searches. Hope this helps to make it a little clearer.

Good Morning all on a Friday! Have a great weekend!
I love to drink lemongrass and ginger tea! It keeps me rejuvenated for the day! I'm not much of a coffee person though I drink it occasionally if I need something stronger to perk me up!
Like @partyon, I prefer drinking hot tea and coffee cos somehow, they taste better.

Hi @Nodame! Thanks for tagging me on this thread! Yeah, I love the positive vibes of this drama. Aside from ROY, this is about the only other drama which I'm watching now. It was my sis who has highly recommended this drama to me cos she said it's the kind of slice of life drama which I like to watch. In turn, I've also shared with my co-workers about the drama and they are loving it too, just like me.
I feel what makes this drama so unique is that there isn't any evil character whom we can call the villain in the show. Even Gyu-Jin's and Jae-Seok's mom can't be labelled as one. We all know she is just being the overly protective and obsessive mom who is just too interfering but she means no ill intent. She lives a lonely life because she feels in a large way, she is a cut above the rest of them living in the same neighbourhood. But the truth is she is someone who is extremely lonely and her fears of loneliness has driven her to indulge herself in alcohol. She feels a special connection with Da-Hee because of her sweet, gentle nature and easygoing personality. She is someone who is genuinely heartwarming and has a kind word for everyone. She seems to be the only one who is able to relate well with the boys' mom and truly empathises with her.
It's rare to find such a heartwarming drama where almost every character is so endearing and have their own story to tell. The fact that the characters have grown on me has made this drama such a delightful watch for me. Certainly this is one of the dramas I will re-watch again in time to come.

Who can resist our cute and adorable Park-Park Couple!
Their undeniable chemistry and synergy just blows you away! There are so many scenes focusing on our two main leads which makes episodes 3 & 4 such a delightful watch for me! The first two episodes were filled with many heartwarming as well as heart-wrenching scenes but the recent episodes this week were filled with all of the above and coupled with many lighthearted moments shared between Hye-Joon and Jung-Ha! I'm also loving the depth of their conversations which provides us with a greater insight on their perspectives about life and their perceptions of people and things which they value in their lives.

In the K-dramas of the past, you may often find the females leads contracting cancer but nowadays, I noticed there is a slight shift now towards having the supporting cast, usually one of their parents or grandparents contracting this disease instead. Lately, they would have the female leads suffering from malnutrition instead. It makes you wonder why someone who is as young as the female lead and living in this modern age in S. Korea will suffer from such an illness?! Oh yeah, you're most likely able to find the oh-so common scene of time jump in almost every K-drama.

Translation as follows :-
Min-Jae, who is being contacted regarding Hye-jun's casting for the TV drama, is excited as she says that things are going well for them now.
Meanwhile, Hye-Joon, Jung-Ha, and Hae-Hyo met at the script reading for the movie "Pyeong-beom (Ordinary)"
Hye-Joon's and Jeong-Ha's closeness has caused Hae-Hyo to feel strangely jealous.
P.S. I am still trying to make sense of the text preview for Ep 5. Does it mean we are in store for a love triangle among the 3 main leads? I would still like to relish the hope that this would not occur...

Hye-Joon & Jung-ha as they are getting off from the bus...
SpoilerHye-Joon asks Jung-ha if she is done with her drunk talk so the latter says yeah, she is...Hye-Joon disagrees and says that he doesn't think so and an indignant Jung-ha insists that she is really done with her drunk-talking...
Then it starts pouring heavily...Jung-ha shouts aloud and tells Hye-Joon to run along quickly!
Hye-Joon tries to shield Jung-ha from the rain with his hand.
They enjoyed running in the rain as they make their way to seek shelter at a convenience store.
Seeing that Jung-ha is more sober now, Hye-Joon shares with her that he has enrolled Grandpa into the modelling academy...
Jung-ha is glad that Hye-Joon has accepted her proposal earlier and taken her advice...
Hye-Joon then tells Jung-ha that this has also allowed him to reflect alot on how my opinion of him wasn't any different from other people even though I keep saying that I love him...
Jung-ha tells Hye-joon that she likes people who are able to reflect on themselves and learn from the mistakes they have made in their lives...
She adds that she dislikes people who are capricious as they keep changing their mind.
She likes people who are able to hold true to their promises and she dislikes people who cause her to feel nervous or anxious...
Hye-Joon remarks that if there is someone who is self-reflective but is rather unpredictable...
He continues saying that if he is able to keep his words but makes you feel nervous and anxious...He asks Jung Ha what she would do then...
Jung-ha tells Hye-Joon that she wouldn't like a person like that...
Hye-Joon asks if she seems to like the feeling of disliking people...
Hye-Joon then asks Jung-Ha what does he like then...
Hye-Joon replies that even the traits he likes in a person can also cause him to feel vexed at times so it really depends on the circumstances and the situation...But adds that when he is in love, he will come to love everything about that person...
Jung-ha tells Hye-joon that whoever is the person he has come to love will feel very happy...
When Hye-joon starts looking at Jung-ha so the latter quickly says tells him not to be mistaken because she is not saying that she wants to be loved by him...
Hye-Joon says that he didn't even mention anything like that...
This is when Jung-ha tells him that she is very picky about who she likes and dislikes...
And in order for her to date a guy, he must be able to fulfill all her requirements first...
Hye-joon then says that there goes without saying...
Jung-Ha then reminds him not everyone will think of it as something which should be taken as a fact...
Hye-Joon then tells Jung-ha that one of the best things about her is that when she is in the wrong, she will admit her mistakes...
Jung-ha then apologises and tells Hye-Joon that in truth, she is not the picky type...
But she can be a difficult person such being an obsessive fan with a bad habit of drinking...
She asks Hye-Joon if he knows what all that implies...only one thing...sadness....
She confides in Hye-Joon that she has never once loved anyone in her life...
Inside the beauty salon...
SpoilerJung-ha is doing his make-up as Hye-Joon asks Jung-ha if Jin-Ju has given Jung-has reprimanded her so the latter tells him that she is at fault too...as it was wrong of her to ignore her calls...Hye-Joon then returns the same words back to Jung-Ha that he likes people who are able to reflect on themselves...and Hye-Joon asks if he can render any help to her. Jung-Ha tells him that it will be better for him to stay out of this...Cos this is her own fight...
Hye-Joon asks if Jung-ha is pleased with the make-up she has done on him so she replies that she should be the one asking that question. He then replies that he has always like what she does...Jung-ha asks why is he being so generous with her today or is it because he pities her...
Hye-Joon tells Jung-Ha not to drink with anyone else with now onwards because she is too cute...
Jung-ha then adds on that she has often hear people saying this about her...
Hye-Joon goes and calls her name...
Jung-ha corrects herself and says that she doesn't hear this often...
But she's often heard people telling her that she is pretty...
And asks if he is pleased to hear this too so the latter readily agrees with her...
Hae-hyo tells Jung-ha that he wants to hire her to be his make-up artist for the coming movie...and he adds that he is not just engaging her services for himself only...implying that he also wants Jung-ha to help Hye-joon to do his make-up too...

Scene of Hye-Joon & Jung-Ha walking along the streets...
SpoilerAs Jung-ha is kinda drunk so she is staggering as she walks along. Hye-Joon reminds her to walk straight so Jung-ha says that she can't be on a more straighter path than this and adds that though she knows that it would be really tough but this is really hard for her (to bear)...
Jung-ha shares with Hye-Joon that she has quitted her office job so that she can pursue her dream of becoming a make-up artist...and adds that she was confident that she can make her dream come true...
Jung-Ha starts scolding herself for being stupid cos she says that she should only dream when she is deep in slumber...
This is when she recieves a call from Jin-Ju...
Hye-Joon asks isn't she going to answer the call...so Jung-ha replies that all her customers like her and they also want her to do their make-up so why should Jin-Ju be distorting the truth...and she adds that she is merely just doing her job because to her, it's really fun...But she can't understand why Jin-Ju is making her seem like a scandalous girl who has just stolen her boyfriend...
Jung-Ha leans forward and almost loses her balance so Hye-joon quickly catches hold of her and tells her, "That's enough..."
She loses her footing and ends up sitting on the ground lamenting that she must have done something wrong...because there must be a reason why Jin-Ju is being so adverse and hostile towards her...and she adds that there must be a good reason why jin-Ju intensely dislikes her...She starts breaking down into tears and she laments that she just can't understand why certain people would derive the joy in bullying others...
Hye-Joon reminds Jung-ha that her 30 minutes is up. Jung-ha continues saying that it's probably all her fault...as she starts crying so Hye-Jun returns the same gesture to her as he places his right hand on her forehead first, followed by the left shoulder then the right shoulder...Then Hye-Joon tells Jung-Ha that he will forgive all her sins, An Jung-Ha...
With a worried look on his face, Hye-Joon continues to smile warmly at Jung-Ha...
Jung-ha asks if Hye-Joon is embarrassed of her...so the latter replies yes and he starts to make his move taking her luggage with her. Jung-Ha hastily follows closely behind him..
(I do believe the reason why Hye-Joon is doing this is because he doesn't want to see Jung-Ha drowning in her own sorrows but rather he wants her to continue being the strong, brave and positive person she has always been).
Jung-ha keeps telling Hye-Joon to wait for her...and the latter stops in his tracks and waits for her to keep pace with him..

The last scene...Hye Joon's confession...
Inside the pharmacy, Jung-ha applies a band-aid on Hye-joon's injured forehead...
Jung-ha then remarks that it's a relief that he doesn't need to go to the hospital...
Hye-joon then tells Jung-ha that he thinks he is indeed very lucky too...
Jung-ha then teases him about these are just his own thoughts...
Interestingly...the pharmacy is called Happiness Pharmacy...
Outside the pharmacy, Jung-ha wants to pass the bag of medicine to Hye-joon but the latter tells her that she can keep it in her handbag first and give it to him later...
Jung-ha is puzzled and asks Hye-joon isn't he going home but the latter tells Jung-ha that he would send her home instead...
Jung-ha questions Hye-joon and asks why he needs to do that and assures him it is okay...She is concerned because he just got hurt so why does he want to send her home...
Hye-joon then jests and tells Jung-ha is he going to die or something like that...
Jung-ha then adds that he is being too melodramatic...and adds that she doesn't quite like it....
She then starts walking away...
Hye-joon soon catches up with her and gives her the packet of medicine saying that it's too heavy for him to carry it...
Jung-ha then smiles upon hearing his words...
On the bus, she sees Hye-Joon touching the band-aid on his forehead so she asks him if he is feeling alright...
She then checks his band-aid and ensures that the band-aid is applied securely on his forehead...Thereafter, she tells Hye-Joon that he will be okay...
She then adds that Hye-Joon should have gone straight home instead of taking her home...
Hye-joon then asks Jun-ha did he insist on taking her home...
Jung-ha then replies yes, he did because she has made it very clear to him earlier that he should just go home instead...
Hye-joon then asks if Jung-ha is trying to shy away from her responsibility (hehe...from caring for him?)
Jung-ha then questions Hye-joon what is he holding her responsible for as she has nothing to do with his injury at all...
Hye-Joon then asks Jung-ha why she is being a little agitated now...or is it because she likes someone who is responsible...
Jung-ha tells him yes, she does...
Hye-joon then teases her and asks her if she wants to be responsible (for him too?!)
Jung-ha then adds that Hye-joon is being a little crazy right now as he is not talking sense...
Hey-Joon then tells Jung-Ha how does she know as he thinks that he is being kinda crazy today...
While Hye-joon is walking Jung-ha home, he asks Jung-ha if waiting for him for such a long time is tiring her out...
Jung-ha then replies that she doesn't feel tired...but she has come to realise that there is nothing in this world that comes easily...implying there is no easy job in this world...
Hye-joon shares that he feels very happy and excited today...he feels so excited that he can't think about anything else in his mind...
Jung-ha asks Hye-Joon if he feels different to be the one experiencing and going through the moment rather than someone who is viewing it from outside...
Hye-Joon tells Jung-ha that is likely to be the case...
It's starts to rain...
Jung-ha then exclaims that it's really peculiar cos everytime when she is with him, it will start to rain...
Hye-joon then tells Jung-ha yeah, he agrees with her too...
Jung-ha runs along wanting to seek shelter from the rain...while Hye-joon just continues standing there looking on at her...
Jung-ha turns around and asks Hye-joon why is he standing there and tells him to run quickly...
Hye-joon then tells Jung-ha that he wants to get rained on...
A concerned-looking Jung-ha then runs towards Hye-joon and tells him that he will catch a cold standing in the rain and she remarks that she thought he is a rational person...
Hye-Joon tells Jung-ha that he feels he is unable to hold back anymore....so Jung-ha tells him that they should seek shelter first...
Hye-Joon then continues to say that he feels really confused right now...and there is something which he must tell her...but he is uncertain if he should say it...
Jung-ha then adds that he is not sure whether he should say these words or not say anything at all...then he should choose not to say them...
Hye-Joon disagrees and says that he wants to say it...
Jung-ha asks if he wants to say these words to her...and what they are...
Hye-joon then tells Jung-ha that he thinks that he likes her...
Jung-ha is stunned upon hearing his confession...
Hehe... @Sakurafairy! Yeah, our boy finally confessed his feelings for Jung-ha...
