Well that was unexpected. I'll admit I hadn't thought JH's dad would die. I wonder if/how JH will continue the fight against evil president and his dad. Hopefully JH's dad had another backup somewhere but how likely is that?

I did love HJ again (let me emphasize that: AGAIN!). Eventhough she just came out of surgery and was obviously tired with all the stuff happening with JH and IJ. she still managed to put SW in her place by telling her that SW's feelings weren't something HJ gave her but she gave that to herself. My mouth fell open.

And then, ofcourse, she went to JH to tell him "Look here mister. My heart is open for you, but you gotta do something to earn it. I love you, I want to be with you but you gotta chance to get me". Daebak! 
By the way, did anyone else get a random Hyuna song in their head at that moment? Perhaps "Change"?  

Anyhow. Those two scenes again fortified my believe in the acting abilities of Park Shin Hye. She's just able to pull that off while many others would fail. I love how she smiled sweetly to KRW/JH telling him how she wants to love the man completely and take over his life just as he wants to do with her. With that look of love in her eyes and that sweet smile she could melt titanium .

I was also a bit puzzled how the president tore up the Internal Affairs report in front of his daughter. It seems he has no recollection of HJ being a former friend of SW. "Learn from her!" I lolled  
Though SW amazed me by being straightforward with being the one who told IA about the gift. That took guts. "I'm your enemy, I'm doing this to you". I still feel sorry for SW though. It seems to be a desperate cry for attention. Considering her dad also rejected her (with shredding the report) she seems to be even more alone. She's distancing herself from YD (which is logical since his presence hurts her heart), she's fighting an open battle with HJ and now her dad turns on her. 
She's not mentally unstable enough to do something to herself, but what will she do? Mess up an operation that HJ is performing? So a patient nearly dies? I guess that's an option to be honest. She wouldn't grasp the consequences if she did something like that. The only thing flaring through her brain would be that it would be an oppertunity to get HJ into trouble and possibly get rid of her.
A good trigger for that would be for her to see YD get closer to HJ (which is viable since HJ and JH are in a rut at the moment).
Consequences would be that the patient nearly dies (saved by the awesome prof JH, ofcourse, to show his superiorit over HJ) and SW is booted from the medical profession. Only to find out that her true passion has been pole dancing all along

I would watch that episode over and over though. SW pole dancing. Now that would be a spectacle! And a guaranteed massive increase in ratings  
If it happens I might still not be able to convince my wife, but I bet I can convince a lot of male friends to watch

It's a sad ep so going down .1% isn't that bad at all, especially all 3 dramas dropped and we dropped the least  

We can say that they have secured the K-viewers

@ash011......I sincerely feel that this episode upped in many areas from previous week.....

1. Story moved substantially forward in main characters lives and relationships.

2. JH and HJ were given more air time than before.....or did it seem that way?

3. The acting was something to behold.....KRW, Shinhye , YKS and the neurosurgery chief were amazing in the extremely well executed last scene. KRW was just brilliant. 

4. There were few very important and absorbing scenes that touched us deeply.....HJ's confession makes one admire her like anything.....JH when he lay his head on his father's chest and the last scene.....among overall very Good episode.

This impression is when I have watch it raw.....it should be even better watching it subbed

 

Then the episode 12 preview has been on #1 in Naver since it was first aired with the last scene at #2. ........That should draw in more audience tomorrow....

Done taking my vitamins before going to work.. vitamins every morning reading all your updates, thoughts and everyone who was just like a family coming from work and and from work to this thread just exactly like a Home.

Everyone was so cool, friendly and very supportive of each others opinions. I feel relaxed while i can laugh with you guys and felt sad at times..  everyone lets wave our hands for all the efforts ..

       I Just Don't Want To Be Alone....

After reading some of today's posts and rethinking about mine I think the passion kiss in my post may have seemed thoughtless after JH losing his Dad.  But I do know from my own experience that after losing someone you find yourself so lost and almost numb.  Everything is moving around you people events but for some reason your stuck like being behind glass.  You see & hear everything but inside there is such emptiness that words can't even explain.  Your body is going through all the motions but your in so much pain your not able to even think its so bad you want to pretend it must be a nightmare it can't be for real...  

After you just want to hold someone close have them hold you feel their warmth next to you.  Cry & crawl inside of them feel safe and believe that somehow, someway your going to find your way out of this darkness and continue to live somehow without the love of your Dad..  Hear those words of comfort that it's going to be OK your going to be alright.  I'm here and I'm not going anywhere.....

We all know rates are important.  But after watched this episode 11 today, do you believe the rate is doing justice to the quality of this drama Doctors and the performance of our leads and other cast? Of course no. So, do not worry be happy, laugh about it. Looking for to episode 12,curling my toes.

Despite wolhwa SBS drama 'Doctors' ratings have declined slightly, kept up wolhwageuk 1 ratings.According to audience measurement company Nielsen Korea 26 days last 25 days shows "Doctors" wrote one days nationwide ratings of 19.2%. (Hereinafter the same basis)
This last 19 days immediately preceding episode this figure fell 0.1% points higher than the 19.3% recorded, but most of the same time zone broadcasts wolhwa drama high. Won the 'Doctors' followed by MBC 'monster' is the same time second wolhwageuk and recorded 10.7% in . KBS 2TV 'A Beautiful Mind' recorded a viewership of 3.4%. Meanwhile, 'Doctors' made in hongjihong (Kim Rae-won minutes) and yuhyejeong (Park Shin Hye minutes) reaffirmed his mind for each other despite their own difficult circumstances.

In episode 11 when the nurses/receptionists talk about admiring the patients husband for his complete dedication to one man.... Seo Woo says she also knows such kind of a man who is dedicated to one woman... they ask if its Yoon Do... she says No, he is crap..... The conversation ended there..... but we all know.... the one man who loved only one woman for 13 years even without knowing if he will meet her ever again..... that kind of love and dedication..... Daebak...!!! Near to Impossible to find nowadays...!!!

Just finished watching 90% subbed on VIKI. The whole episode was awesome. The last scene was so upsetting, I cried with JH. KRW acting is above and beyond amazing. I felt the loss, despair and hopelessness he went into after losing his adopted dad so suddenly. @Tiggie2, Me to.. Just finished partially subbed on Viki. echoing your sentiments fully.  
This episode was a good example (among others) why the script is so good for this drama.   We have parallel stories. The abused woman who just had surgery to save her life, but neither JH nor HJ know that her husband continues to bully her, even as she lies in that hospital bed, not yet recovered (and possibly, never to recover from his assault).

At the same time we have HJ who is claiming her power as a woman. I loved her conversation with JH. Actually - it was almost a monologue. It took a lot of courage and love,  for her to express her needs, esp. after their "fight." I also loved the fact that she said what she had to say with heartness, and kindness.  She said it all with a smile, and when she smiles, her smile appears on her eyes first.  She is truly beautiful.  And he had recognized it back then, 13 years ago.

She has shown her love to him by baring her soul in this conversation.  Her willingness to be show him her vulnerability, is her strength.  She is one powerful woman, who knows what she wants from a relationship, and is not going to settle for anything else.

She has started paving the road to their relationship as one in which they are equal partners, both taking responsibility, both sharing, love, care, and sorrow.

The episode was so good but so sad. I'm glad that IJ has grown up over the years I was expecting her to come back the same person she was 13 years ago so I'm glad that they allowed her to mature over the years. I laughed when SW's dad ripped up the paper in front of her and then told her to invite HJ over, that whole family is the worst but SW was being really petty reporting HJ. I'm thinking that MH is going to choke on his words about liking HJ when he figures out who she is and when her, KTH and JH bring him and his dad down. 

HJ is my favorite heroine, I like that she's blunt and honest. I like that the problems that our OTP are facing are actual relationship problems and not external factors or stupid misunderstandings. When HJ told him what she wants/needs in a relationship I was like finally someone on television voices what they want instead of taking what they've  been given and getting mad when it isn't what is needed. 

The final scene made me so sad JH desperately trying to revive his father made me cry such great acting from KRW and everyone in that room. Such a great moment where JH was no longer a doctor but a kid desperately trying to save his father, so heartbreaking. 

Even with all the sadness there were some cute moments in this episode, HJ jealous of IJ, SH telling JH that he obviously did something wrong and the puppy doctor and the nurse almost chickening out on telling KTH the truth about the car. 

The preview made me scream, I'm excited for them, I'm anticipating a kiss but I hope that this is the official start of their relationship.

I like how the writer wrote the conversation between Hye Jung and Ji Hong.... On one hand she is confessing she has feelings for him too.... on the other hand she is laying out her heart bare open for him to see her insecurities.... she is communicating her fears in a relationship... she is explaining herself to him , her reasons behind her actions... what she wants from their relationship.... This is exactly what is missing in most of the shows ... no one is ready to bare their heart to the person they love... instead keep everything in heart and hide behind unilateral actions and decisions thereby creating unneccessary misunderstandings.... This is what makes Hye Jung unique and one of the best Female Characters in K-Drama... She is Genuine , Honest and Frank... And I think this is what makes everyone love her....

I really loved her this episode!

I have serious issues with people being dumb like in an unrealistic way, or smart women or men turning stupid in kdramas when in love. Is not I don't enjoy fairy tales, is just I can't relate to them, I know is nothing like that. Today when she said all that to him, all lines delivered, all emotions she shared, they made total sense with a smart woman, a mature person that learned a lot with life and is not willing to waste time and energy going nowhere.

People say love make people fool but in reality it doesn't, passion does that, but love is not like a wild river suppose to be stronger and mature. I would be very sad if HJ's became dumb cause of it and I am so glad she is a very round character, very well built.  I am also glad that is showing JH as someone with a hidden side that is very childish and imature. He is adorable and cute but many times we saw him taking wrong choices, avoiding confrontation, pretending to be fine with things he shouldnt, like SW... HJ pointed that he avoids geting angry and arguing, but that isn't health, and In Joo was very cool supporting HJ while talking to JH.

The human feelings in this drama are very well represented and I am satisfied with their development. Even SW made the right questions today.

Only upseting part is the hospital issues and JH's father death

That abusive husband, I think he is gonna do something to HJ =/

Its amazing how this drama started with Hye Jung being socially unaware of how relationships between man and woman work.... but as drama progressed even without anyone guiding her she knew what makes a relationship work by her self.... Communication..!!!

In relationships people become closer to each others hearts by understanding the other person... and thats possible only if you let the other person in your heart... let the other person know what you are feeling.... what you are thinking.... which is where Ji Hong is unable to open up completely... While he was successful in breaking down Hye Jung's walls of fear of abandonment... he couldnt do the same for himself.... he is still living in the walls of fear of losing the people he loved the most... his parents... due to which he tends to become the over protective parent in all his relationships... including with his father... he is unable to surrender to someone to take care of him... instead he is so afraid of losing his loved ones ... he insists on being in control of the relationship and protect them from all their hardships ... all the while putting on a brave front before them even if he is hurt....

In conclusion Ji Hong and Hye Jung are made for each other... it finally makes sense why they both never ever tried in 13 years to explore relationships with other people.... they are the two sides of the same coin.... scared little children putting on brave front... and and only they can understand what the other is going through.... like Soulmates...!!!

Gotta feel sorry about the patient being a victim of domestic abuse. She's trying to call out for help when HJ attended her. The husband is so scary when the soundtrack is changing into a darker tone. It gives us chills!!

Wow, so I'm usually a lurker around this forum because I'm too lazy to sign into my soompi to comment. I love everybody's insights and spazzing and we're all good sports to enjoy a drama leisurely yet on edge waiting for the next episode. But I just had to sign into my soompi account after watching ep 11. 

After HJ laid out her heart and her insecurities how she's afraid of being thrown away to JH, and for him to do the same for her, I feel this is a turning point for their relationship. However, since JH's father just passed away and at the end JH narrates how he "lost a part of himself that day" it will definitely bring out JH's insecurities and vulnerability even more. 

JH not only lost his parent at a young age, but now he lost his foster/adopted father. It's twice the blown to him and he will probably revert back to his closed shell like he did before he got adopted. This is only speculation but in the preview JH said to HJ how he's "crazy thinking of her" and "waiting for her to call"...I feel at this point, JH feels he only has HJ left in his life. All of his family members had left him and that leaves HJ (his love whom he has been pinning for over 13 years). He definitely won't let go of her.

If anything, he will either show his vulnerabilities even more to her and a part of him will probably change. We will probably see JH's sullen face for a while and he will prob be even more determine to finish up what his father started. Now, everything JH has run away (politics, any nuisances, etc) will come back to him and he will eventually be forced to face his demons/fears. Only then, will JH be able to mature and communicate ...opening up his insecurities to HJ at the same time. 

For HJ, she's afraid of being thrown away the most. I think for JH, he's afraid of being left alone again. Both souls are perfect for one another and the writer and director does an awesome job displaying healing and developing one's own self-esteem and character each obstacle. And that is life and in a country like South Korea, I feel this message needs to be played across for a lot of the citizens. 

 

Enough of my long essay, that teaser for ep 12 is really teasing us! You can see JH's raw emotions emoting from his eyes as he's on the verge of crashing. But that possibly kiss scene...oh my gosh..I was grinning so much. 

 

P.S. Can we talk about YD's little statement to HJ on how he will follow his heart/follow this road...no matter how miserable it will be in the end? Second - lead syndrome...urgh, I hate it when these things happen. If HJ and JH aren't the OTP of this drama, I would definitely go for YD and HJ!
