I was wondering the same thing as to why Yeong still hasn't ask. Maybe he has to much thing in his mind. But I hope that that wouldn't create a misunderstanding later on of Ra On's identity (just like how it was in the novel)

Maybe Yeong is afraid that Raon will try to run away again if he tries to find out too much. He has just convinced her to stay by his side and thought she must have a good reason for doing so, just like how he trusted Byungyeon and not ask him about what he is hiding from him. More than that, I think Yeong might be more curious about how to help Raon become a woman again.

Initially, the build up ( when princess remembers it was the maid who sneezed and in the park when nobleman sees the maid) is that he likes the maid.

And now suddenly we have two scenes hinting he likes princess itself ( telling his fellow that what use is being thin, one should be plump like princess in the market on the light festival day; and then now when he saw the princess and seemed to know who the princess isP)

The dude got the sequence wrong, when talking to man its ok to stutter but when talking to girl, please dont stutter, he needs to get his priorities right ;p

I hope he wont stutter when he next meets the princess and be brave to declare his love

I'm actually really glad! As much as I want to see more of the characters, I don't want the extension to ruin the flow of the story. The pacing has been really great so far and I'm hoping that it will remain that way until the end.

it has been very long since i last came here to comment. i have also enjoyed being a silent lurker, reading everyone's analysis but this drama is so good, and filmed with so many details encrypted that i kept repeating certain scenes and wish to share w

 

the hand sign scenes in ep 9 is one of which that is worth to mention.

first in that era, who will have thought of using handsign as a form of communication. cos of little princess's inability to speak that give rise to the opportunity of both CP and RO to use a common language that only both of them understand.

i like how the director showed CP displaying the "deon na ji ma gukk, nei gei ta su ra" handsigns two times before they revealed what this mean. 

recall that RO has always been 'running away' and always the one who takes the initiative to escape from CP. when little princess brought her to CP that night, she had already wanted to take her leave upon seeing CP, but stopped when CP stood forward, seemingly to have something to say.

the first scene, director quickly focus on CP's sign of "deon na ji ma gukk, nei gei ta su ra" first, which is probably to ask RO to stay and see what else he has to say.

then CP went on with his handsign confession of "I like you, i love you" and he pleaded "so please" plus showing "deon na ji ma gukk, nei gei ta su ra" hand signs again.

it was then they move to show the part where RO told little princess the hand signals for "don't leave me, stay by my side". RO is touched cos CP is using "her language" which she created to tell her how he feels.

for the viewers, other than the eye expression, facial expression and acting skills, OST, the voice projection from OTP is what that also captures many people's heart..

the next scene is CP hand action again with his voice projection of "deon na ji ma guk" that is so full of sadness and helplessness, he really wishes for RO to stay but he is already helpless on what he can do. he is like trying the hand sign method as the last straw to hold RO back.

i really like how the director did it. first they showed RO's hand signs merging in with CP's handsigns and CP's voice "deon na ji ma guk", then followed by RO's hand sign again with her voice saying "deon na ji ma guk". there is just so much feeling in these two phrases displayed by our OTP and it seems thAT RO is answering CP that she is not leaving and that she will stay by his side.

the next scene you can see CP clasped his hands and close his eyes. he then slowly opened his eyes to check if RO is still there after his confession, and the camera panned from CP's back to reveal that RO is still standing there before him. CP smiled cos this is already RO's answer. she is not leaving, she is standing by him now.

no need exchanges of any words, this confession scene is really daebak in my opinion.

To be honest, I want more 2 episode just because I want to see KYJ and PBG together as long as it possible. Although, I know extension can ruin overall process. This news just simply wake me up for real. For me, watching MDBC episode by episode, I fall in love with the extream REAL chemistry between KYJ and PBG. Never saw such a beautiful charming couple like this before. They suppose to pair again in near future another big project. Hope their perfect match chemistry won't be ignored somewhere. The way KYJ and PBG immerse into CP and Raon, I feel them alive for real. Monday and Tuesday, is a special days for me, to live witness their pure love with my eye. This news actually broke a part of my heart but in the good way, I will focus on the rest 8 episodes more and more. Thank you so much for everything. MDBC team fighting!
