Well that's ok to have different opinion. I still not on the same page as seeing HS as a toy to Wook but I respect your opinion. From my point of view. Sense of belonging is a part of love. If my man thinks it's ok that I stay, comforted, cared, and in the end gets taken away, than he must be crazy and not love me. Not all love happen just from one look or one night. There is love that grew from thinking he/she is in my squad/family too. 

About the ending.. I would love it ended with Wook as the lead in this drama (Romeo is the lead in his story) eventhough it was ended by death (they just have to make sure it goes as beautiful as Romeo+Juliette). But Wook is not the lead. WS is. Can that man get a break and a happy ending after all the bad things happen in his life?

god, i don't like current emperor. he was cold toward So and always was suspicious toward So, then after the rain, he is all like 'i'm so proud of you, son'  and then of course, emperor ends it with 'be beneficial to crown prince' 

and of course, to keep his ally happy, he's going sell one of his sons that he doesn't really care about. emperor doesn't care for what his other sons feel, emperor will do what he wants.

wang so was definitely more aggressive ,violent and brutal, and according to history he killed a lot more people than the 4th prince in the chinese version. The 4th prince in the chinese version never even wielded his sword once but got the throne due to his great planning and his wits. But both were good kings to the citizens.

@KdramaSwimmer thank you for that explanation about visions. Like I said, since I have never seen any or know of anyone who has its hard to understand HS freaking out like that, so its good to get a perspective from you. Taking it into consideration I think we now definitely need to be told or shown in some way just how affecting the experiences can be because honestly to me HS's reaction seems a tad over the top without appropriate context or explanation rounding out the scenes. What I mean is that I can't feel the fear or the disorientation that HS is feeling at these visions, so the scenes don't land the punch for me when I see So being happy/ brooding and yet I should be uneasy seeing him because I was there when HS saw her visions.

@valsava unni you may be correct.....once So gets to know of her fear, that kiss may be his way of trying to get rid of HS's fear......that she is his most beloved so there is nothing she should be afraid of from him and thus not push him away. He already has told her that he belongs to her and that was no lightweight commitment. Btw I have a feeling that if HS continues to be controlled by her fear, then the split between her and Wook could happen because she will end it with him to keep him safe from So.....cause after that kiss I doubt she can doubt that Wang So means to keep her for himself.

Thank you to all the re-cappers, next week I will also try and re-cap too. Today, I watched the live stream on SBS but my stream was so bad, I basically missed more than half of today's episode. 

Today's episode was truly heartbreaking, WS was so adorable during his meeting with HS after the rain ritual. To me, in that scene he seemed like a little boy sharing to HS how he feels accepted and when he drank the rain water, it reminded me so much of when kids (even adults) stick their tongue out, or open their mouths, when playing in the rain. I feel that WS really turns into a carefree child when he's with HS.  But the last scene is such a contrast, I usually never get too emotionally affected by drama's but the hurt on WS face when HS said she's scared of him almost made me cry. The girl who just last episode said she will never change has all of a sudden (in WS eyes) become just like everyone else. Although I completely understand HS, I too would be going crazy after having such deadly premonitions. Which is why I really hope the writers have something good up their sleeves to redeem themselves, because right now I don't know how HS is going to go from being terrified of WS to being madly in love with him. 

The kiss scene  I missed it on the stream, after waiting so long for a kiss between our OTP I finally got to watch it and it was so sad. But one thing is for sure WS sure knows how to kiss.

And lol I'm so agree with you about this thread speed. This drama is seriously loved. Even in one of my fav. website kdrama recapper, this drama always has the most comments, maybe the most comments ever, it's crazy!!

And yes on the writers redeeming themselves!!

I'm so proud of WS growing up from this ruthless frustrated always angry need love prince to someone who can to control his emotions better, loves to smile, and has the most adorable expression ever. I seriously hope that HS will not give him more serious wound -being the most adorable puppy he is- in the next episode.

I hatee Hae Soo when she says "You're gonna destroy everything later" or something along the line because seriously girl, even though I understand why you freaked out it's SO WRONG to tell your best friend he will destroy the future and condemn him for that (esp. after you promised him you're not gonna change!). I don't have any problem with her other reaction except for that one.

I still like her though. Judging from the preview they will have this romantic moment on a horse, at the beach.... with WW in sight. Sigh. At least I hope it's still romantic. Maybe the coughing blood will bring them closer!! I'm still optimistic!!

Aaaand Yeaaah LJK hotness keeps on increasing every week. He rocks long&short hair, he rocks long&short pony, he looks gorgeous in sageuk dress the designer will be proud, he rocks his mask, he brings horse riding to a whole new level, he rocks the frequent super zoom in camera with his powerhouse acting till I always know how WS feels, he kisses sexily. Seriously, what the man can't do??

To take action or not to take action, that is the biggest dilemma that Hae Soo faces now... She has to now be very cautious as to what she does. In the beginning, she might not realize it but towards the end, once she sees the brutality around her, she might do something drastic so that everything would just end and she could go in peace.

The parents didn't have a peaceful married life and they are taking it out on the children. Whoever they can sacrifice, they are doing it just so that they can prove a point. Problem is there won't be any end to this cycle as the brothers end up fighting each other and maybe realize in vain towards the end that none of these really mattered. All everyone needs is to have a good and a loving family...

I think the 4th prince in the Chinese version was far more vicious than Wang So. He might not have killed anyone with his own hands, but he blackmailed one of the eunuchs to kill off a group of the 8th prince's servants in order to frame the 8th prince, kills Ruoxi's only friend by steaming her alive, and ordered other deaths to gain the throne. Whereas, right now, I'm having hard time imagining Wang So killing or scheming against any of his brothers for any reason. All the people he killed so far is in defense of himself or his family.

yes thats correct you need to know how and why it happened (visions) and how much it can effect the person seeing it and the reality. cause until you have faced that moment you cant feel it same way. Also everyone has their own of handling such situation, here we are talking about a gal of 21st century who is in Gpryeo and having flashes related to people there, whmeo she never knew in her original life. Had it been her 21st century life should would have reacted differently cause she might say its not possible and reject saying it cant happen. but here she knows that Gwangjong was one ruthless and killer kinda king and then she sees those flashes here just making her terrified during all her interaction with WS.... cause she knows that happened and now she is seeing the transition of Prince WS to King WS and that makes her heart skipping beats in fear...

hope we can have more clarity on those flashes when she tells it to WS directly (will she ever..hmm i just can wonder)

When I say that she's naive about history I don't mean that she's ignorant of history. Obviously the latter feeds into the former. Her naivete comes from using her 21st lenses to judge people and circumstances from a completely different era. On a certain level it works for her -- that's what the princes love about her but on another, it makes her unprepared to deal with the kinds of choices the people in ancient times made in the overall scheme of things.

Wow... I sure woke up to an outcry of negativity this morning. LOL. Oh dear. I won't comment just yet since I haven't watched the episode either with or without subs but I have watched the "infamous" "forced" kiss scene that's been posted here. I'm not sure that I'll be able to back read beyond the ten or fifteen pages that I have.

Yes, So did impose himself on her but he did it, it seems to me, to calm her down. To him her sudden fear of him must have appeared so irrational (and so out of left field) and he couldn't allay her fears so he did the only thing he could to think of to reassure her that he really is sincere about being with her. It's pretty telling that he breaks the kiss the moment she stops resisting him.

I gotta say the look of desperation and anguish in LJG's eyes was utterly heartbreaking. So is so in love with Su and the poor guy can't catch a break for more than two seconds.

I agree about the flashes of premonition is causing her fear. She tries to reason with it by saying WS is not like that with her but more tragic premonition is coming her way. So it's understandable she was shaken in fear literally. 

I'm just glad that the prod gave us a better basis or explanation to HS's capabilty with JM story. But to me It's still rather weak. Like she can see flashes of premonition too back in the future just not that intense for example. If it went like this, it will only come out of nowhere because we don't know wether JM story was true or not. 

I'm sorry you have to experience that kind of things. It must be scary sometimes. And the worst thing is many times no one believe you. But don't worry, I do.
