 Wedding ducks have special role in every Korean wedding. They were chosen as it is known that they mate for life. Long time ago a man expressed his wish to get married by bringing a pair of ducks or geese to the family of his bride-to-be.

As soon as the bride arrives she puts the wedding duck on the table. After the ceremony, the bride and groom bow to the groom's mother and father two and a half times. Then the groom's mother throws the duck to the outspread bride's apron. If the bride manages to catch the duck it is believed that she will first give birth to a baby boy. If she does not catch the duck she will get a baby girl.

I would say that scene is a symbolism of something. Consummation most probably given how saegeuks always have their own creative way of indirectly portraying the act... Marriage for SoSoo couple has certainly become an 'impossible' thing to me in goryeo era... 

On the other hand im hoping that football game finishes early and it doesnt rain so i can ship my favorite couple before i go to work

One is always promising something and demanding a promise in return and the other one's actions speaks louder then his words and he gives freely without asking for anything in return.  I was a bit miffed when Soo tried to return So's gift though.  I understood why she did it. She was trying to discourage So because she felt her association with him was unlucky for him.  Even though I don't give much credence to the bracelet, I will be very happy when she returns it because then it means she will be using it as a discouragement to let WW know there will never be a time she will ever go back to him.  I just hope that doesn't drive WW to be even more of a psychopath then he already am.  

I felt the same way about the bracelet because he said to never take it off. I think he was offended by the scar because once he saw it he covered his hands over it. At that time, WW should have acted the same way WS reacted to her inflicting pain on herself. Look at the irony, she loved WW the. And left the scar be seen but with WS she covered it up??? Why did she do that?? I wonder if I am recalling the events differently??? I think because she loved him she was okay to letting the man shwho loves see it but his response was not the response a gir wants to hear or see. As soon as he see it he covers it up.

YH wants to marry So because she sees its more possible for him to be king than her brother (aside from she loves him). she wont lose even her brother will be king..

I was also wondering abt the HAE clan which is more powerful than Hwangbos. however, if i remember correctly the HAEs (uncles and others) did something like agreements with enemies, thus the palace might have gave HAEs some punishment. HS is an orphan, aside from she doesn't remember anything thats why she wont be any help..

I love this interpretation. I just wanted to note it for myself and anyone who might have missed it. Thank you for providing this explanation as it was somewhat vague in the show to anyone not familiar with korean poetry.

For me he's like the Benedict Cumberbatch of SK... someone I could listen to for hours reading out of a phone book. The man needs to do audio books fast. I won't understand much but it won't matter.

I think I found my kdrama soulmate. Jang Hyuk is an absolute favourite of mine. He is the reason I got into Korean dramas and my introduction to saeguks. So to have both Jang Hyuk and LJG in a project together would be mind blowing for me. I would not know what to do with myself if that happens. Both of them are very good with physical action so it would be an interesting collaboration. Both of them have played Wang So, co starred with Kang Ha Neul and are from Busan. Eventually the universe will bring them together if we put out there.

I completely agree with you with regards to LJG's vocal delivery. I think its (for me anyways) 65% of his appeal. His tone perfectly achieves the emotion and  his delivery equally engaging.

@Para12012 @sosooyah19 Wang Tae was the oldest son of Queen Yu and he did die young, but no one knows why. In MLSHR, Queen Yu doesn't seem to insinuate that she thinks it was Wang So's fault that he died. Wang So being tied up on the fortress is because in this drama, the Shinju Kang clan and Chungju Yu clan are supposed to have a feud between them (which doesn't make sense because they're far away from each other), so this was an incident when the Yus were attacking the Kangs, the Kangs tried to stop them by using So as a hostage, but the Yus didn't care about his life. Hence the Kangs hated him as a useless hostage. It is speculated that Mu saved So from this. This scene was supposed to be in episode 3 as a nightmare So was having when Hae Soo came to his room to return the hairpin, but was cut. This is why she later told him to not have bad dreams. Inclusion of this in the scene with the princess was to indicate Wang So being reminded of his own hostage days.

 

@briseis The boldest sageuk bed scene I've seen is from Shin Don (another Goryeo sageuk!), but sadly it was on MBC, not SBS.

I love that we'll get to see more happy scenes with them, I am looking forward to the new episodes. I think at most we'll get an insinuated bed scene, I don't really think they'll show anything too steamy, although I do hope they will, haha. At least we'll get to see them spend the night together, sleep in the same place and just be with each other, that's more than enough for me. The way WS looks at her in her sleep, it's pure love and devotion. 

Tell me, how am I going to part from them after it ends??!!

hmm.. i just saw the pics on the page before where WS looks to have swung his sword at his brother, Eun.  Seeing that there is an arrow right through poor #10-shot most likely by their brother WY or his men-  I was wondering if it was done to "put him out of his misery"/not suffer through the pain kinda thing??  I mean, so far, WS has been weilding his sword for the lives of his loved ones..not for himself per se.

Watched the BBJX's bed scene and I dare say the part where Rouxi letting her hair down.. yeah, I can see that's happening in MLSHR with Soo letting her hair down. *dreamy look
