It did not get stellar reviews back when it aired. So it's a pass for me.

 

It's by the same writer and director as Pasta, and I can already see some similarites between Miss Korea and Pasta. But MK did get a good review from the Fan Girl Verdict, and I trust her taste, and it's an underdog story, so I'll keep going with it. I'm watching it on 1.5x speed.

Am not sure... As much as I like MCW, am not convinced that the drama sounds that interesting plot wise.

I rarely watch dramas just because someone I like features in it. I go for the synopsis.

One is supporting actor Choi Young Joon oppa, who appeared in e.g. Flower of Evil, Vincenzo and Hospital Playlist. 
 

There is just something very charismatic and handsome about him on screen

So @Ameera Ali's Ultimate Senior Ahjussi Oppa has some great abs, but in Alchemy of Souls he is never showing them to us. Instead he looks a bit like a hobo, and is spending his time in the kitchen making food that doesn't taste good. He's a great mage, and he can't make food anyone can even eat.
