Nice. Stefania Maracineanu worked with Marie Curie on artificial radioactivity. When Marie Curie and her husband won the Nobel Prize, she was upset  that there was part of her working observations on artificial radioactivity, without mentioning her. She was the one who created the first artificial rain. Remarkable woman scientist.

It was supposed to be a British accent? I could not tell. I thought it is the American Persuasion. This ecranisation is already the weird version just seeing the trailer. Is the comedy version?:)

 Raccoon Oppa is not my bias at all

People go crazy over him and wherever I ask (new armies) its either racoon Oppa or jungkook.

I love them.

They are irresistable

No hate though -

I could resonate myself to most of the songs he write.

I'm still trying to calm down. They tried to bring modern sensibilities to the story and it comes off all wrong (in my opinion). The cheeky, winky-winky stuff is bizarre, and they made Anne out to be such a klutz rather than a reserved, thoughtful, poised lady. 
 

I googled "trailer for new Persuasion film is so bad" and a bunch of funny (but also really sad) fan reactions came up. Everyone is sad and mad. :tears:@confusedheart is afraid to even watch the trailer.

 

I'll probably be watching just to see how Henry Golding is as Mr Elliot :P, but otherwise I feel like you:

I will go and read the reactions. :)

When I read that there is a new Persuasion, US adaptation, I already had my doubts that it will reach the quality of the British ones but I was curious. I will watch the 1971 version (mini series) that I found on You Tube. Just how I watch every Jane Eyre versions available on You Tube/internet, I will do the same with Persuasion.
