Another farewell.  This time Dr Bae from ER.  Her character brief lists her as an ER Fellow.  So she’s a bit further on than the residents.  It looks like it’s just the doctors that are being farewelled.   Bong is staying - no farewell speech.  I always find it interesting that Shin asks them about their personalities.  I think judging from the responses, most candidates would be taken aback because it’s not something that is asked in a routine audition process.  (Pics taken from YouTube clip) https://youtu.be/zqPI_O_Ji9g

Interesting to see what S2 has in store for us.  ChiHong and Bae with no scenes at all.  Reply1999 may be on the cards with flash forwards back to the present on occasion?  That would explain why ChiHong and Bae are no longer “required” in scenes because scenes in YulJe would only be intermittent.   It would be interesting to see if we get the same with the O&G department.  The reason why I am leaning towards a S2 primarily filmed in the past is that if LeeShin were planning to leave it as is and just carry on from where S1 left off, then it’s far less work to leave the cast as is?  Not long now to wait for some concrete news.  Filming starts end of the year so I am assuming it would be soon. 
 

Also I find it interesting that Shin spliced this in and didn’t do much in the other interviews .

Not Shin PD.  So until I read otherwise, HP is going as planned.  Last night’s Bts was interesting.  All the side characters thanked.

The BTS video last Thursday had a finality to it?  It was a nod to all the small characters.  All of whom had a vital part to play in the collective story as a whole.  I liked what Shin did here (using all their pics) to form the mosaic.  It looks like a Dinosaur on the left (T-Rex).  To me it does anyway.  (Cr screenshots from https://youtu.be/yYNdOxekx8Y)

What I find fascinating is the number of hints Shin has dropped about Romantic Winter in the clips.  This scene where GU admits to liking IJ out loud...to her colleagues.

And he puts this scene in as a stark contrast - the awkward rain meeting at the front of ER (as her brother drops her off).  Not just the door acting as a line between them but the pouring rain.  Streaks of it.

Look who else has a herniated disc?   Same as SHwa.  It’s almost as if R1994 is the prequel to HP.  Some of this stuff just carries on from her other dramas.  Writer Lee rewards those who watch her shows and love her characters just like she does.  She uses past characters as fodder to build the current lot of characters she has.  Making these links.  Like her own inside joke.  YYS would pick these up for sure.  He’s known to go through his scripts with a fine tooth comb.

And it just turns out that it was Dr Romantic (JJS) that escorted her to the table reading?

I guess she is really close to The Other Ahn (from the beginning) in real life.

And the clip that was featured in the breaking of the ice is...well...the first meeting between IJ and GU... which I have already written about in a previous post.  Where he crossed the line by spotlighting her .  A fateful encounter.

I am sure LeeShin know about Coffee Friends.  And YYS’s altruistic nature.  SHwa loves her coffee too.  And specially brewed a cup for him.  As Aloha was playing... and that music video has the girl making her man a coffee too.

I did say snacks were important in an article I posted before?  This just proves it.  Shin insisted that IJ pick that snack and eat it whilst he talks about Long Winter.  Otherwise they wouldn’t have filmed this so many times to get him to open the drawer and pick that snack and eat it .  
 

EDIT - there were many key Romantic Winter scenes depicted by Shin in the recent BTS.  The Pick me scene.  The “You know I care don’t you?” scene at the cafeteria whilst dishing out the sausages.

My heart is full.  With the wrap up of Start Up (DoSan and Dalmi - who were locked in from the start - the flower petal - the wind - so many similarities to HP with the metaphors), and I get the crew back on the red carpet on MNet 2020 on the same night. The 3 fast friends - remember how I mentioned the Netflix pic? With JWan (Best Man) seemingly trying to convince JWon and MiDo was resting in the crook of his arm?  Anyway the men (including MoonSong) looked dashing and MiDo was stunning.
 

Look at the shoe comment in MiDo’s Insta pic .  Probably nothing and alluding to dressing up.  But her Prince awaits (see my Cinderella 1&2 articles).  He was in white last night.  White Knight.  Actually they were both in white last night. .  This is a shipping thread after all so I must keep up appearances 

Both MiDo and YYS posted on their Instagrams.  They must’ve had a blast.  Great friends on set and off. Here’s to S2 in 2021.
