The second teaser video featuring the romantic eye contact of Moon Geun-young and Kim Sun-ho, tvN's "Catch Yoo Ryung" has been released, drawing enthusiastic responses from netizens.

Following tvN's "The Great Show," the new Monday-Tuesday drama, which will premiere at 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 21, released a second teaser video containing the fun of nuclear reversal by Moon Geun-young and Kim Sun-ho, who predicted the subway police unit's superior combination.

'Catch Yoo Ryung' tells about the police officers who guard the subway while trying to catch a serial killer known as Ghost. Moon Geun-young plays the role of a rookie police officer named Yoo Ryung while Kim Sun Ho plays the role of Go Ji Seok the chief of the subway police force.

The footage released shows Moon Geun-young and Kim Sun-ho, who are unable to keep their eyes on each other, along with peaceful subway scenes, bringing curiosity about what the situation is like. Pink air flows between the two, who seem to be strongly attracted to each other in the crowd while enjoying the romantic eye contact.

In the midst of that, an unexpected turn of events that has just broken out makes the viewer feel better. Moon Geun-young quickly overwhelmed Kim Sun-ho, who was following behind her, with a "Suplex" (a wrestling technique that hits his back) and exploded a girl crush charm. However, Kim Sun-ho's civil service identification card came in the eyes of Moon Geun-young, who was saying, "You have the right to remain silent". The identity of Kim Sun-ho, who was undercover on his own, causes goose bumps, especially the cute fictional side of Moon Geun-young saying, "The chief of subway police!" which makes us even more curious about the relationship between the two.

tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama "Capture the Ghost" will premiere at 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 21.

Moon Geun-young drama Catch the Ghost releases new teaser and poster

tvN’s upcoming drama Catch the Ghost features Moon Geun-young (Glass Garden) and Kim Sun-ho (Welcome to Waikiki 2) as a subway traffic cop duo that investigate serial murder cases. The poster above says their motto: “From the first car to the last car! The air in our subways is lighter than the air above ground.”

@stella77 I've never actually done this, to be honest .. haha.. I don't usually watch ongoing dramas as well or even if I do, I don't really come here in Soompi. But I find it more fun to join in the discussions. I'm sticking to watching ongoing dramas nowadays so that I can finish the drama as well once it ends, because I tend to always stop in the middle of a drama when I start one and won't be able to finish it, or probably pick it up again in the future (maybe :lol:).

 

Yeah, I think it's gonna be like police-rom-com-thriller since we're talking about ghost (?) here :D. I think this is the last Kdrama I will be waiting this year.

The tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama, "Catch the Ghost" which will premiere on Oct. 21 motto is "From the first car to the last car! The air in our subways is lighter than the air above ground!” The subway police force guarding the subway is working on the case to catch a serial killer, called "subway ghost".

With the mere fact that you can see the chemistry between Moon Geun-young and Kim Sun-ho, there are also some questions about the meaning of title "Catch the Ghost." In response, the production team delivered the answer directly.

 

 

1. Two meanings in the title, "The Serial Killer & Moon Geun-young"

The title "Catch the Ghost" has been gaining the curiosity of drama fans since the teaser was unveiled. The production team said, "There are two big stories about "Catch the Ghost". The story of Moon Geun Young (Yoo Ryung) catching the serial killer named "Ghost" (Yoo Ryung in Korean) and the story of Kim Seon Ho catching the woman he loves, Moon Geun Young. It has two meanings, to catch the subway ghosts and also to catch Moon Geun-young's heart.

 

 

2. Why did you choose the subway station?

Another notable element in "Catch the Ghost" is that it deals with an interesting subject matter between the subway and subway police force.
Referring to empathy and novelty, the production team said, "The first is empathy. Every morning on the way to school, on the way to/from work, on the way to meet someone, we meet first with the subway. On a weary day, you feel warmhearted when you are given your seat, when someone goes to see you, and when you go to hell on your way back and forth, you feel the bitterness of life. I thought that if the drama unfolds on the subway with everyday joys and sorrows, many people will be able to empathize it" the production team said.

"The second is novelty. There are many people who don't know about the fact that there are always subway police watching citizens on this familiar subway, and we didn't know that either. Looking at the signs, I thought, 'We'll patrol one by one and go in.' But the subway police were different. They were protecting us in the subway. They even disguises themself as an ordinary office worker or drunkard in order to avoid being noticed. The more I looked at the life of the subway police, the more interesting it was. Unable to pick up the radio, they communicated via Kakao Talk and had no patrol cars, so they were sent to the subway and were on duty every night at the dark underground station where the shutter went down. I wanted to tell the story of the fresh subway police against the backdrop of everyday joy and sorrow," he added, explaining the special reason why they chose the subway and subway police force as a subject matter.

 

 

3. The most important thing was to ask for reality, real-world status plus professional advice.

The production team of "Catch the Ghost" emphasized the reality that will be vividly featured on the main show. "I spent two years with the help of underground police forces," he said, adding that he visited the nearby subway station's office frequently to find out how they worked, how they investigated and how they came to the area. In order to understand the terms used by the police and the signals they send and receive, they went to the undercover scene and hid for hours in front of the exit. "I was consulted by a profiler for a year to express the reality of the serial killer as well as the criminal interview of the metropolitan investigation unit and serial killer," he said. "Since I dealt with unusual material, I have been preparing for the crime scene."

 

He added, "The Episode case seems to be a small crime on the subway, but it was a big crime, so I searched every day for stories and collected large and small stories to suit our episodes. Various types of criminals and crimes are also being dealt with in the episode case, and I referred to the books and articles written by Profiler to understand them," he said, raising expectations for various episodes to unfold in "Catch the Ghost."

Interesting meaning of the title :D. I thought it will just be about catching the killer but also KSH catching MGY's heart :P ♡♡♡

tvN’s “Catch the Ghost” has released a humorous new teaser!

The upcoming investigative drama tells the story of police officers who guard the subway as they try to catch the serial killer known as “Ghost.” It stars Moon Geun Young, Kim Seon Ho, Jung Yoo Jin, Ki Do Hoon, Jo Jae Yoon, Ahn Seung Gyun, and more.

The clip begins with Yoo Ryung (played by Moon Geun Young) staring down a wanted poster. Then, on the subway, she spots the same man. Go Ji Seok (played by Kim Seon Ho) takes notice and tries to convince her not to approach him, saying that he’ll report it to the authorities and adding, “Did you see the sheep tattoo on his shoulder? I’m not compatible with the sheep zodiac.” Yoo Ryung ignores him and goes in for the arrest.

Afterwards, the police are shown to be escorting the criminal away. Yoo Ryung taps Go Ji Seok on the shoulder and he turns to reveal the black eye he got in the confrontation. Yoo Ryung says encouragingly, “As expected, you’re very cool, Captain.” Go Ji Seok sulks away, making viewers anticipate more of the polar-opposites chemistry the pair will show in the drama.

tvN’s upcoming drama “Catch the Ghost” has unveiled two entertaining new posters of stars Moon Geun Young and Kim Seon Ho!

“Catch the Ghost” is a new drama about a squad of police officers who guard the subway and attempt to hunt down a serial killer known as “The Ghost.” Moon Geun Young stars as Yoo Ryung, a passionate rookie officer who has little in common with her poised superior Go Ji Seok (played by Kim Seon Ho), who does everything by the book.

On September 26, the upcoming drama shared two amusing new posters that highlight its leads’ polar-opposite personalities. The first poster depicts Yoo Ryung and Go Ji Seok kicking off a thrilling, action-packed day on the job by catching sight of a criminal. The fiery Yoo Ryung, who always rushes headfirst into action, immediately responds by fearlessly throwing herself between the subway’s closing doors.

Meanwhile, the composed Go Ji Seok, who prioritizes safety and abiding by the rules above all else, reacts entirely differently to the same situation. The experienced officer remains calm as he prepares to use his walkie-talkie to alert his team to what he’s just seen.

Actor Kim Sun Ho recently participated in a photoshoot with Harper's Bazaar Magazine and talks about Moon Geun Young, his co-star on upcoming drama "Catch the Ghost".

Q: <Catch the Ghost> It was supposed to be broadcast (in August)

Sun-ho: To make it better, everyone discussed it and then postponed the schedule. I don't feel anxious because it was already scheduled. It's not something that can be solved just because I'm thinking about it, so I tried to create bright energy on the set.

Q: Romantic investigative drama? What kind of drama is it?

Sun-ho: The romantic comedy with actress Moon Geun-young takes a huge part of it. My character is a detective who originally lived a rough life and pursued a stable life for some reason. I work for the subway police force, but I wear plain clothes and mixed among the people. It was my first time doing this kind of drama, and these people were actually working on the subway that we use often in real life. To catch pickpockets/criminals. He doesn't take on violent cases, so he's stable in some ways. While living like that, he meets actress Moon Geun-young, a fellow police officer who made him think about what he really wants and then he fell in love.

Q: It's a comedy. Is there Kim Sun-ho's own way to match with other actors?

Sun-ho: There is much to learn from Moon Geun-young's long acting experience. If you're always be honest and work hard and when you look at your eyes, you will catch up without even realizing it. If I'm prepared enough, I think I can do a good job together no matter what the opponent throws. So think about more situations.

Currently, the actor is busy filming the upcoming drama “Catch The Ghost” with Moon Geun Young. During the interview, he mentioned his co-star, saying, “There is much to learn from Moon Geun Young’s long acting experience. She’s always honest and hard-working, so when I look at her eyes, I automatically follow her. I think if I make enough preparations, we will be able to do a good job together in any situation.”

 

Regarding his acting career of eight years in theater and two years in dramas, he said, “I won the rookie award, and it’s been two years since I’ve debuted on TV, so I thought of myself as a rookie because it was just easier that way. I can’t stay put forever. While I might feel regrettable about not being able to act well in ‘Catch The Ghost,’ I thought I shouldn’t be disappointed because I couldn’t do what I could at the moment. Even if time was delayed, I was able to say ‘Let’s do it again.’ Thankfully, [the crew] likes this side of me, so I’m filming with excitement. It’s a time I’m flowing with passion. Passion isn’t necessarily all good, but I thought it would come sometime, and this is the moment.”
