Ae's adrenaline was at a full 15 in that scene with Tin. I don't necessarily need it to stop because it's a recurring character flaw of his just like how Pete's insecurity and lack of communication skills are a flaw of his. It makes them interesting and real. But he really needs a Xanax because we know that this is going to happen in Episode 7 or 8 when he sees Tin around Pete a second time.

 

 

 

It's going to be played off as hot (And it is IMO) but it really is an extra reaction if Tin is just talking to Pete.

That's so interesting.  So it's tricky for a gay guy to call himself a "guy", since the "straight" is kind of baked in. . .  Now I'm going to be listening for what slang words all these BL boys are using to describe themselves.  Could it be that some of the times the translations make it look like they're saying they like girls, they could just be trying to say that they're "dudes" or like, masculine?

I suppose they could be. Sadly the "default" position in society, even today, is that if you're a guy then you're automatically assumed to like girls. As we know, it's not always the case.

Yeah, like, approximately 7-10% of the time not the case.  (Not sure what the most recent statistics they've come up with are.)

Tin/Can: that might be the first time I really enjoyed their scenes. Particularly the fight scene, it was really well played and I liked Can's reactions to Tin's * b u l l s h i t *. He's not having any of it and it's exactly what Tin needs to start changing his ways. I also found the curse scene quite funny (but no way I would have cleaned this mess if I were Can's sister ). Anyway, for the first time, I'm looking forward to their next interaction.

ChaAim/Pond : really like this couple, even with not much to watch. Hope there will be more of them in the next episode!

Tum/Tar: well, talk about baby steps...still not much to say to be honest. The  airport scene was pretty much already in the trailers in full. Next episode?

Techno/KK: why but why don't they show up at all??  I thought they would at least have a short scene. If they are not in the next episode, I'm starting a protest 

 

Yep, I didn't like Ae's dragging Pete around.  And I'm not sure if it's ever going to be addressed head-on, by Pete saying he wants Ae to stop.  I have a sneaking suspicion that the famous "locker room scene" will be the result of Ae dragging Pete in there and backing him into the lockers.  And, I think that rather than getting chewed out by Pete, he's going to get rewarded with some nookie.  I hope it's not too bad, because I'm hoping that scene will be emotional, hot (I mean, not TWM/WTD hot, but a little sexy), or both.  On the other hand, I feel like that may also be a kind of "climax" moment for their various insecurities (get your head out of the gutter), and I don't expect there to be as much jealousy/tension in the back half of the season.  

 

I'm TOTALLY with you on Tin/Can.  First compelling scene for them, and first moment that they actually piqued my interest!

 

Cha-Am/Aim (?) and Pond, I felt the same.  First scene in which I could see why she would actually start to like him, because before he was just being such a scoundrel before.  Ok, but I liked them before this because of their chemistry, I just couldn't see why she would give him the time of day.

 

I don't give a crap about Tum and Tar, but for some reason I'm totally interested in Type and Tharn, and which makes me interested in how all four of them interacted in the past.  Type is the one drawing me in.  Why is he so friendly with both bros, giving advice, when one wants his boyfriend?  If Tum and Tar are RECENT step brothers, as in their parents got married when they were already late teens/young adults, I'll endure.  But it's kinda icky if they lived together as brothers since they were kids or something.  Mostly, this just feels very unoriginal because there are several other Thai BL storylines with step brothers.   

 

I miss Techno and KK, too.  Mostly, I miss KK and Technic.  They're so funny and sneaky.  KK, be sure not to bone 'No when he's wasted, k?  Pretty please?

According to the Gallup poll US only ( May 2018 ) 4.5 percent identify as a member of the LGBTQA community. Of that number 3.9 % are male. 

Wow y'all cranked it out today...then again this episode was crank worthy. My thoughts...

1) I loved reading (3) different translations of the Football Field Confessions.  What stood out for me was how each translation used a different term in the scene where Pete is telling Ae that he doesn't want people to call him a.... One translation had gay - I don't think Pete would ever use the other two however I think ( know ) those are the terms yelled at Gay men. So I went with the those two terms. Powerful that they were included in the dialog .

 

2) There were moments throughout the episode where I thought, if Ae and Pete were older they'd have the perfect Dom/Subm relationship. On one hand I'd like to see Pete become less submissive, then again that could be who he is...and clearly Ae is the Dom.

 

3) Champoo..doesn't get it, and is not going to get it. So let's send in Pond...he may have the way to let her know the parties over, she's not/nor ever will be the one - so move on. Ae and Pete are not going to do it...I just want to avoid the "Yuri caught cha" trope...that's sad.

 

4) TinCan Tin is a snob...money rules therefore associating with anyone without money is beneath you. His "mirror self- chat " left me breathless...and it had nothing to do with what he said...HOWEVER, my take away is that he going to TRY and use Can to make a point to Pete and Ae..show Pete in particular how the poor folks will use the rich folks... only, I think he's gonna get caught and by caught I mean fall for Can. I remember that scene in the trailers...I bought you a phone, I took you home...all very deliberate actions.  Like Techno, Tin is doomed. 

 

5) Pond - he's like the male Yiwah. and Goodness know Ae and Pete need one. Again, I found the translations of his comments in the bedroom and  at breakfast especially interesting. The official subs were quite polite. The mandarin to English subs were in your face...LOL but the messages was conveyed,  I loved Pete...he missed it all at breakfast...his  face was priceless. 

All in all I felt this episode was transitional...and we begin a new story arc next week. We had to get some kind of closure with Ae and Pete, we had to see conflict with Tin and Can. Techno/KK are stepping up to the plate...so the next few episodes should be eventful !

As for Pete, you're right, he was listening intently at the conversation between Ae and Porn but he was absolutely clueless about what they were talking about. He's so damn sweet and innocent, you just want to wrap him up in wool and take him home.

 

The hex that Can was trying to put on Tinn is going to back fire. I'm sure he's put a love hex on Tinn and he's going to find out about it soon. See what happens when you play with spells.

Now I start to understand why Tin could like Can.
