Regarding her roles, I don't think anyone wants her in revenge and villain roles more than she herself does. Visit her interviews. She just doesn't get a say or choice. There's no smoke without a fire, and this is what her fans mean when they want her to leave the agency.

Regarding Chang Ge Xing

All the actors are victims of a stupid decision the production company made. There are people upset about the age gap because it doesn't fit the character profile, but the main problem is the fact that all cast members including the previous male lead ChuXiao (partook in auditions and script reading) were already having sword practice at the filming location, the current ML was never part of the production, but due to some contract termination issues with his agency, they cut off the male lead and called Wu Lei to "Take Over". This is the problem : there were no auditions or anything, poor boy didn't even get to pack properly. Now Reba fans feel everything is already going wrong this early, ChuXiao fans feel their fave lost a job unfairly, and poor Wu Lei probably has to read the script as they're shooting/practicing.

The production team really messed up and it makes one wonder what they'll do to such a beautiful story. I'm assuming they had no time to start a new audition but it's not a strong enough excuse and it's only normal that people are upset.

This is just what I observed, it isn't just a blind hate game going on.

Spoiler

The manga itself has been facing problems with the author and her publisher being at odds ends. That itself is a drama on its own. And now the adaptation is also stirring a lot of troubles for all parties involved. I do have a bad feeling here.

Wu Lei is a cutie pie. He will always be Fei Liu in Nirvana in Fire to me. I do have my reservations as to whether he can portray Ashina Sun successfully. But I am willing to give him a chance. A good actor can take on any roles and make it his own.

I've watched FD and I liked it. The chemistry between VC and Reba are not nearly as good as with Vengo.

Sweet Dreams is pretty good. I find their chemistry amazing as well.  In my eyes Vengo has competition :D.  The plot is pretty until it got repetitive towards the end.

Should lock down/stay indoors get longer, I'd also like to watch Sweet Dreams. Not because of Reba though, but because of Deng Lun. He was so funny as Xiao Ce in Princess Agents. Eh, he's Xiao Ce personified either in the book or series.

But...one at a time, hahahah. Chernobyl first if books aren't enough. ;)  Then Candle in the Tomb.

Or Alias? I would love for her to put on disguises!!  She can do action sequences pretty well.  I also want to see her playing a doctor.

I loved Alias! My dad and I used to watch it. I'd also like Reba to be in a role similar to Maleficent.

Vengo kinda fits the role :D

Who knows :D. If it's already creating a not-so-good buzz, there might be a chance :D. But it looks like Vengo has a lot of jobs lined up already.  I'll still join you in wishful thinking :D

I was watching...again ELOD mortal arc..of course FF jiheng parts again..this time i totally got the different felt..i was kind of reluctance to watch lovey dovey scenes between SXR and XiaoJiu before..but now i feel that this couple was so adorably sweet..but of course..duh.. they're V&R maybe that why.

@jimmylyne

I dreaded the mortal arc but upon rewatching, I really really like XSR. He is an Innocent puppy that is so in love with XJ. I like his honest feelings. He is very open and communicated his love clearly. Unlike DH who sometimes come across as too narcissistic. XSR never made XJ uncomfortable, he willingly gives and is transparent. DH had to smooth talk his way into FJ's heart but XSR did it all through his actions.

It is only in later parts when DH got all jealous that he started to show more tenderness. Still, he tricked FJ with his weak hero persona to arouse FJ's motherly instict.

Haha, yeah some of Ji Heng scenes are really not necessary.  Also, Vengo's make-up was really a distraction :joy:.

I loved the mortal arc minus JH and the scheming brother of SXR. The makeup was not done well for V as SXR, but he was adorable for his kindness. He loved FJ so much, he was so broken but he still forgave her when she left with YQ.

It was a prelude on how much DH can get jealous and how much he can love.

And their supposed weddings. FJ wasn't there in the mortal realm. DH wasn't there either in Bihai Cangling.
