Y'all, how can the special affect in Cross be so great. I love it when they slow motion the rain falling and the snow flakes. This show is amazing so far.

Hmm, I don't know. Maybe Dramabeans will pick it up to recap? It doesn't show up on their currently recapping dramas though. But if Javabeans likes it then she might take it on.

Reasons to watch: This won’t be your average medical drama, even though it IS about a bunch of surgeons, and Go Kyung-pyo even plays a geeeeeenius doctor with enhanced left brain capacity (of course he does). It’s actually a revenge thriller with an unusual premise, about a man who devises an elaborate plan to become a prison surgeon so that he can take revenge on the man who killed his father. Apparently Go Kyung-pyo’s character thinks medical school is where you learn to kill people, because he hones his skills in order to kill in the slowest, most painful way.

The cast includes Jo Jae-hyun and Jeon So-min as a father-daughter pair who work in the hospital’s organ transplant ward, who must be part of the humanizing influence on Go Kyung-pyo that makes him waver. The show’s tagline is super dramatic but captures the dilemma perfectly: “Good and evil, life and death, revenge and salvation. What choice will the one holding the scalpel make?” PD Shin Yong-hwi of OCN’s Tunnel is at the helm, and screenwriter Choi Min-seok of My Brilliant Life and Blind is making his drama debut, so I think we can expect heart-pounding thrills.

Radio Romance will definitely be subbed faster than Cross. This poor little drama is getting no love. But at least On Demand Korea has picked it up. Perhaps that is why Viki doesn't have it yet (not in my region anyway)? I'm not sure if ODK has subbing rights though.

 

Okay, so I think we have devised a plan! Cross comes on at 21:30 (6:30am where we are) so we can start with that one first. Then we can do Radio Romance Live at 22:00am and Waikiki at 23:00am. Cross should be up on ODK by then so we can finish up the ending part of Cross. This way we can squeeze Waikiki in too! Yay!

 

Monday and Tuesday just became the most exciting day of the week!

Have read somewhere that Cross will be aired to the ntv subscribers only, not to its general public. Because ntv subscriber base is rather low the Cross ratings might  be not very high either.  Don't want to rain on everybody's parade, but thought I should mention that, sorry.

Oh my gosh, yes! We were looking at the lineup and we were all like....um, that many shows come on on Monday? And um.....we want to watch them all? LOL.

 

We always watch shows live otherwise we won't have a chance to watch them until weeks (...months...years?) later. But then they will be pushed to the back of the list! I still have to finish Goblin, My Wife is Having an Affair This Week, Answer me 1988, and W. I feel like I need to take a vacation only to watch dramas .

Cross Rating For 1st Episode 3.9% (not bad and can be called good start)

Personally i like her acting, it's really natural, but i dont like super serious tense plot, maybe it will be better for next episode .. let see ...

I think the forum is on the slow motion for a moment, because limited So Min fans and Kyung Po, not like the other big name artist for other drama, but be patient ... maybe if the story are strong and interesting they will rise in rating .. like  Witch 's Court case ...

Tvn is cable channel that why the rating is a bit low but, nowadays tvn rating is quiet high, eg: Prison Playbook/Wise Prison Life highest rating is 11.2%. As you can see it is the most highest one even among the public channels/big 3 channels (KBS SBS MBC).

3.9% is consider ok for cable channel. GKP previous drama with tvn is "Chicago Typewriter" highest rating is 2.8% and lowest is 1.4%.

Anyway, let just enjoy the drama, rating is just a bonus, what more important is writing, directing, and acting. If not wrong, the director said, "the end is in viewer hand to watch or not". =))

OMG!! I watched 3 out of 4 and I LOVE ALL OF IT, especially R88 (as you can see from my signature). =))

@kentangbakarI noticed that in your signature! I was all like "Awwwww, their love story...." I really need to go back and watch all those shows. I absolutely loved them all when I was watching but had to stop due to one reason or another. But I loved them so much that I didn't just want to passively watch them while doing something else, which is why I haven't had a chance to go back and check them out. I still need to check out W, I actually haven't started it yet, but a lot of people say it is good so I want to check it out.

 

@triplemThank you so much for the recap! There are so many layers going on in this drama! I feel like it has to have a detailed recap to go along with it.

I was so shocked with how everything is unfolding. And did the head doctor of the prison find out that GKP character's father was killed by one of the inmates already? I think I need to rewatch that section, but it looks like he was going through all the paperwork and found it out?

 

Also, did GKP's character overdose that patient on purpose to see where the organ donor trickle lead? Over in our household we kind of think he did it to see who is corrupt at the hospital and who is involved in all of the coverups. 

 

And OMG that car crash scene at around the end of episode 2! How is this drama so good already???
