If it's following the novel, MLC didn't time travel, but was re-born and Tan'er shares similar traits and comes from the same family as the woman he previously loved. 

I do wonder how they're going to explain the split personalities though...that would screw up a lot of the backstory....

When I am quoting you, I can't figure out how to re-hide the contents so I apologize! 

Personally I find that the drama is focused more on romance rather than the mystery behind her dual personality. The way the drama was produced made it seem like she has bi-polar disorder so I would not call it split personalities since that is a term used in schizophrenic patients and those with bi-polar disorders. 

Nonetheless, even though there are way too many kissing scenes, I still like how the OTP does it so well considering it is pretty much their first time in their respective lead roles.

Basically he was given an edict that he had to take her on as a concubine. So he agrees but never consummates the marriage.

It doesn't look like this will be a happy ending :bawling:

 

I got a good amount of giggling to myself with the cheesy scenes so regardless I wouldn't care much for a happy ending. I can just rewatch some of the lovey dovey scenes and call it good. :blush:

But then again, the novel hasn't even ended yet so most likely either an open ending or sad.

Yeah....I'm sort of confused by this because the translation I'm reading also says to be continued BUT that's for outtakes rather than the main novel. For me, the main novel is done?

Ending basically has them living forever and being the envy of relationships for the entire world :D

Maybe it's just the viet version I watch - but definitely more split personality than bi-polar? Well I say split personality because it's two clearly defined personalities more than her being extremely introverted or extremely extroverted but with the same likes/dislikes (possibly my understanding of bi-polar is completely wrong and this is exactly what it is...if so, forgive me). The two Tan'er's like completely different things and value different things - also like different people.

EDIT: I know what happened now, so I read the last chapter of the arc...xD but there's a continuation after the demon guy

Ya...seems like someone (her soul) will be gone...abit sad...destroyed by someone she loved...does it mean she didnt even got chance to be reincarnated? 

For a few moments if dont know storyline...the 2 gals look like...hehe...a couple.

Hmm I think the two hooded people get to the 10th prince maybe? The FX on his martial arts looks similar to theirs i.e. black gas clouds.

Some of the translations for viet subs are off so I prefer watching it in Chinese at times but the Vietnamese are fast at subbing! 

As for the ending,

If they live eternally, wouldn't that be lovely! I had to rewatch some of the earlier scenes and I recall a contract being agreed upon, Basically along the lines of, I die,you die. If I live, you live. Happy ending for both! :) 

I agree with you on the personalities. Let's just call it two souls living in one. Bi polar is more of a term used to classify disorders. Split personalities is on the similar end.

On ep12 when she was drawn and presumed dead, the old white hair guy revived her by having MLC and XT signed a life contract.  If one dies, the other has to die as well.  It was eternal love contract.

MLC loves XT so much.  End of ep12, they were summoned to see the crown Prince and princess, XT wanted Taner to have a chance to see the crown Prince. XT wanted to say she doesn't love MLC to bring up Taner, but he didn't want her to say she didn't love him.  He hugged her and said you are mine.

searched up crown prince - also a 1997er - WAT. and this is his debut drama - dang!!

so many handsome younger guys in this drama lol

I hope he snags a role in a more modern role since his cheekbones are magnificent

No, he debut in 2016. Think this is his 4th drama/movie....but his earlier roles are similiarly supporting or even lesser than this one....and he mostly play bad guy. In one interview, he said he's used to it...haha.

About the director...元德 Yuan De or Yuen Tak. In the BTS...he seems very active...haha. The name is not familiar to me...but then i came across this article....his background info is mentioned near the end. There are some animated gifs of him directing.

He actually was part of the same performance troupe or opera school as Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Yuen Wah etc...when they were teens. They were once known as the 7 Little Fortunes. Some become famous as actors while some more towards martial arts or action choreographer....he is the latter.

He was nominated many times in hk and taiwan awards....think won once ot twice. He did directed movies b4...but mostly action ones. This current one...more of a romance comedy...is abit different. But overall not bad...considering the budget and new actors. Of course the script writer is not bad too...having to write or adapt such chessy dialogue..haha.

Yuen Tak's original surname is Kong...he is also a 75th generation descendent of Confucius.
