Thank soooo much for all those who gave their "Fave MDBC Plot Twists"! Later on, after the drama airing (Oh, thinking about gives me a sinking, drowning feeling! ), we can put these all together. 

The one that blew me away, that really gave me goosebumps (!!!)

Lee Young's Epic Episode 14 Hug! Not so much for the skinship but I totally didn't expect a reunion so soon! And seeing a fierce-looking Lee Young sending "dagger looks" to Raon, saying "I will never forgive you!" made me think that he was going to draw a sword and aim it at Raon! But a hug?!!!!!!! Oh, wooooooooooooow! I let out a stifled scream as it was already late evening and I didn't want to earn the ire of family who were already in cloud nine bliss :-). I didn't think Episode 14 would be a stand-out episode for me but after calming my adrenalin rush and taking in what was happening, I realized that it was going to be one for the simple reason that this episode was where there was nothing standing between Lee Young and Raon because all the deep, dark secrets have been laid bare---on Raon's part---and Young going towards her to give her that tight embrace, screamed at me "LOVE CONQUERS ALL!!!!!!!" "THIS IS THE PEAK OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!" when Young accepted ALL OF RAON---Rebel's Daughter and all--- even at the expense of putting his life on the line!

The drama tried to confirm this later in that ep after the kiss scene where CP confronted Ra On that he knew she is a girl and when CP tried to explain why he couldnt bring about to tell her that shr is a girl and one of the line said something like "when i was sitting down you were walking" and then the drama played us a flashback of her walking with the qing envoy.

 

@nataliakay The drama made it quite clear he only discovered her female identity after seeing her dressed up as a lady. The comment about him sitting on silk while she walked barefooted doesn't mean he knew the truth earlier. I think he thought back on how he treated her in the past including the Qing envoy episode after he knew she was female and felt ashamed or perhaps pd-nim just felt that footage suited his words. He definitely didn't know it during the Qing envoy incident.

Wow, you have helped me traced another trait of crazy fan who is acting out of jealousy and probably hatred.... I trust you will react to any one of us here and try to start a fan war! But rest assured I won't criticise your Favourite moon for I am not watching it and never will. The still pictures of that drama are not appealing at all.

While there are differences in their characterizations, for instance, I think BY is actually more deadly serious than MJS who also pretended to be a drunk frequently, I see more similarities. Btw, I love both characters. My heart broke for MJS when he protected his girl, but watched her go to someone else. At least with BY, he may like RO, but it doesn't seem to have progressed to a terminal one sided love or anything like that. And, I love both sets of bromances. MDBC's bromance may not be as epic in camaraderie as SS's bromance was, but the MDBC bromance also gets to do a lot more a**-kicking, so it's all good.

For his occupation & his character is resemble to Kim Jae Woon in TMtEtS, they both look cold outside but actually they're both always have a deep care for their friend, I don't saw any romance portion in KJW character but their bromance is deep (maybe because the similarity about the bromance from the three male lead always remind me of TMtEtS)

For his dual life as a rebel yeap I agree with you the similarity with Moon Jae Shin in SS, the difference only about how they behave & the love part.

I have to choose the first CP/Raon kiss because at that time I was still lurking and have not had the courage to join this amazing thread. Everyone was saying it will be hard to see a kiss due to KYJ age, I was quite prepared not to ever see it, then suddenly wham bang it happened. To me that was the biggest first twist and that spurred me to join this thread and I am too happy to be here everyday

@Jillia Thank you for your costume post! I love reading the details about each costume and how you have pointed out the complementary costumes which Yeong and Ra On wear to signify that they belong together. How did you ever come to learn so much about Korean hanboks? So very interesting to read!

I've read somewhere that you have written previous posts on costumes for the show too? Do you happen to have the page numbers? I cannot imagine trawling through 900 pages for them. I hope it is okay that I have asked you for this.

Big name singers including Sung Si-kyung, Gummy, K.Will, and Baek Ji -young have participated in the drama's soundtrack album. The 23-year old star reportedly wanted to become a singer-songwriter before he started acting. The 18-part periodic romance drama "Moonlight," where Park plays prince Lee Young, has captivated local viewers since its premiere on August 22. hrmmm....random, weird comment, that doesn't belong here - 

MDBC team FIGHTING!!!!! 

they are all working so hard, in such harsh working environment, although they do look tired, from the BTS vid's and pic's posted by staff, they all seem to be happy working. which is great. They have delivered such a good quality drama to us and that I am thankful for. Hope know get's sick and everyone gets to enjoy the much needed rest and  trip.

thinking about how the end is near makes me sad, I do hope to see our OTP reunite again when KYJ is an adult, so that they don't have to be so cautious about her age. I would love to see what more these two can show us when they become more mature. I think the chemistry will be even more explosive than now, so excited just thinking about it. 

Can't wait to hear Bo Gum's ost....i literally screamed when I read what the title of the song would be.

 

i would like to thank everyone for being so active, caring and sharing with everything related to MDBC, it's made the week go by so much faster and less painful, i should have come in here earlier. the waiting period between each episode was so tormenting before I came in here....KAMSAMIDA!!!!!

Let's refocus on our drama. Whether or not it is intentional, let's enjoy the last remaining episodes. 

I am also watching the other moon but refraining from any comparisons to that because I prefer to rave about this Moonlight in the thread. 

The plot twist?

1. Eunuch Han!

2. Ra On's mom being alive (I know I must be jaded by other sageuks)

3. That second kiss by Ra On to the CP (definitely didn't expect that)

4. I am one of those fans who thought CP knew her identity especially during the Qing envoy incident. Maybe CP knew subconsciously that Sam Nom was female and was more gentle with her in the prison scene and the horseback scene. He was frustrated between what he could see (Sam Nom as an eunuch and therefore male) and what he was feeling (that feeling that Sam Nom was the dancing girl, the jealously towards another (YS and even BY when BY was about to touch Sam Nom' throat after the Eunuch Ma incident). So the twist for me was that he really didn't know the truth and was willing to confess to Sam Nom and then he saw Sam Nom in the dress.
