There are many fans here from Germany... That's great! I agree that LJG is a really great actor! His acting is incredible! Yes, the drama is like a real torture. I've noticed that in each episode, there is always some bloody scene, like for example

- episode 3 the killing of the monks

- episode 4, the whipping till CR bled

- episode 12: Baek Ah's injured by WH's sword

- episode 13: the attempt to get the throne (soldiers were killed); Wang So killing his brother

- episode 14: the attack of the D., soldiers were also killed

- episode 15: Mu's death and the killing of Eun's relatives

- episode 16: Eun's and SD's death

As you can see, there is not a single episode where blood is not mentioned or shown!

 

Wah ... I didn't realize that.

I guess it will continue ... we are bound to see more bloodshed/death tull the last episode ... had I just known before *sigh*

As you can see, there is not a single episode where blood is not mentioned or shown!

I didn't realise that but once you've mentioned it,I remember someone posting about the meaning of the title(Sry I forgot who it was).'Scarlet' is the colour of blood so the blood mentioned in every episode can be related to this.The Soompier also mentioned 'sin' relating to 'scarlet'.

Definition of sin

1. a :  an offense against religious or moral law   

b :  an action that is or is felt to be highly           reprehensible <it's a sin to waste food>    

c :  an often serious shortcoming

2. a :  transgression of the law of God     

b :  a vitiated state of human nature in which the    self is estranged from God

So acording to the definition,everything that happens in every episode relating to blood are sins.

Because as far as i know, we never seen this landmark before in eps 1 (from the modern times).  Is this place will be the place Hae Soo or Go Ha Jin in modern times, will met Wang So or someone Wang So's resemblance or real Wang So transported to the future???

Most of the osts point to similar thing:

1. two lovers got separated

2. they will meet again somehow

3. request of rememberance / begging of not forgetting each other

which leads me to conclude that HS will go back with full memories of goryeo...WS reincarnates as a modern guy with or without any memories of goryeo . i wish the writer will make him remember because it will be too sad if he cannot recognized her.

MY IDEAL ending would be

1. They elope and migrate to Bulgaria. Soo opens a perfume shop and WS teaches martial art. They have 2 boys twin who are  photostated version of So and a girl who is spitting image of Soo plus Soon-Deok's martial art skill. Baek Ah samchoon will go visit them once in a while.

2. they both died n transport back to modern time and live happily ever after in Seoul with Soo open a beauty parlor and WS teaches martial art. They have 2 boys twin who are  photostated version of So and a girl who is spitting image of Soo plus Soon-Deok's martial art skill. The website says the first episode (when Hae Soo drown)  was in another region, which is In Gyeonggi-do. And the tree /root landmark is In Daegu . So, those two places are in different region.

as much as i hate the ending i think i kinda want to see their love story when So became a king and Soo as his lover.. notice that WW refer Soo as king women so its safe to assumed that whole palace know who Soo is to their king and she seem to turn into a noble and graceful women now that her status is changing... i know IU talk about her changing when the drama progress and now her speech also turn into Goryeo era compared the beginning... 

their part of love where IU said intense and real dramatic will start when So became a king... we talk about how So will be more and more possessive toward Soo because once he got the throne he will afraid losing Soo because it always have a price taking the throne.. BUT Soo also willing to be possess because you can see she look really happy along with So even without a title (she got everything that a queen got though)...

you know what the hardest part is???? when they playing the shadow thing there a scene where she as a bird caress So and So use his wing to protect Soo.. the parallel between Soo heal So heart also his physical and emotion scar and he in return protect her with his life but So can't fight time and fate.. he's bound to loss Soo.. and that's to me just really heart wrenching...

their love story is epic , heart wrenching and their love transcend the time... a 1000 years between them....  

 

my OTP is just pure love and its hurt my heart thinking how this will end....

I always watched the scene in the park in Episode 1. But I do not find any similar people there, or I can mentally combine the thread here. Ji Mong is the only one who can connect. Ji Mong has drowned as a little boy. Ha Jin saves a little boy. The drama is really the purest torture.

My Ideal ending would be

Hae Soo died in Wang So's arm in peace.She woke up in the future and live her life. Wang So finally marry YH because he needs a queen but never visit her chamber for 6 years because of his love towards Hae Soo (Take that you YH LOL). YH get really frustrated and ty to kill herself. Meanwhile, in the future, Hae Soo is swimming in the pool. She suddenly drown and transport back into Goeryo time and wake up in YH's body (YH is dead dead dead). HS tells Wang So it is her in YH's body and reminds him about the poetry and stargazing. Wang So realize it is Hae Soo and they live happily ever after. They will have 5 beautiful kids and rule the kingdom in peace.

I promise you, after MLSHR, all I am going to watch is DISNEY'S PRINCE.
