This episode was brilliant! Feel really sad for WS that he's going to be ruthlessly used by Yo because HS is kept hostage.

The script is so closely guarded we can only guess what's ahead and here's my take: 

WS will escape from the palace after killing Eun and live in exile while he gathers an army to raid the palace.

He will leave palace without HS because he knows Yo will keep HS alive as own protection(come too close to me and I will kill her before your eyes) 

YH will form a secret alliance with WS. Her part will be to seduce Yo and then poison him, while WS gathers an army to raid the palace. Her price: WS has to marry her and make her queen. WS will agree to this alliance as he is desperate to get HS back.

Other things to comment on:

Wook, you bleepin’ bleep. How could you do that to Mu?! It’s so freaking sad. I love how Mu, given his vulnerable and confused state, knows Wook is up to something. He was ready to abdicate to So, knowing that So is his true ally and brother. I love that smirk he gives to Wook, and all Wook can do is throw shade at So. You pathetic piece of bleep! But why do you have to be so good WOOKing when you’re evil?! The conversation between Ji Mong and So makes it clear that So is politically savvy (calculating steps ahead), and he is angry that he keeps being robbed of his happiness over and over again for other people. This fact is going to push him to the breaking point and I can’t wait for him to act. As much as I love romantic So, I also love BAMF So.

Queen Yoo aka Queen Sofreakingcraycray…the freak is wrong with you?! How could you tie up your son and have soldiers shoot flaming arrows at him? WAEEE?! What has he done to you that you’d treat him that way?! My god, that scene is so painful to watch. I almost teared up when So remembered this piece of his childhood as he watches Mu push his daughter away. That memory is so raw. I hate that woman.   

Poor Mu…death by poison and drowning. When Ji Mong cried holding his body, I also cried. Mu was a softie, and he didn’t deserve that kind of shameful death. I am so disappointed in Chae Ryung too, but my thoughts tell me she did it because she is in love with 9^th. After all, she refused his reward when he offered. 9^th is still trash and I cannot wait for his snakey face to eat it once it was revealed he helped orchestrate Mu’s death. I was indifferent about CR in the beginning, but now I don’t care if she gets steamed alive or worse. She knew what she was doing, and it sucks because she also betrays Hae Soo, who cared about her. Wait…does this mean Soo will get the blood letter like in the C-version?!

Wook still singing to the tune that he’s doing all these evil stuff for Soo. Dude, who you kidding? How do you think she’ll feel and say when she realizes you were slowly killing the king with mercury, the very same king who Soo genuinely cared about and treated her well? You imbecile. I thought you were smarter than this. You’re much lowlier than Yo, who is at least honest about what he wants. Snakes in the grass are the worse. Wook momma, what are you gonna do? Lecture him to death? Is YH still pinning for So? Looks like Wook and her are on different pages now.

Speaking of Yo. Yes, he can’t wait to reunite with his eyeliner. This is the true reason he wants the throne; is to be inseparable from his precious eyeliner. Dat love is pure folks. He survived a cliff dive, and grew a beard and mullet for that eyeliner. Freaking thing won’t die and I cannot wait until he does. I don’t care if it’s Wook or So who ends him. Heck, it would be great if it’s YH. That at least gives me a small amount of respect for her. Very small. I also want to see how devastated Queen Sofreakingcraycray will be when her precious Yo eats it. Too bad, you backed up the wrong son. Jung, please have a conscience and fight for the right side. I know you’re family and all, but you gotta know the difference between what’s right and wrong. Clearly, you’re on the wrong side of the fence. Hurry over to join So and cast away your differences.

Finally, So is faced with a dilemma. He will be a dog to Yo for Soo’s sake, but not for long. I think having So forced to kill 10^th is the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Soo will have to witness this since in the preview because she is with 10^th and SD. YH may help the baddies get to them. I just hope Soo won’t misunderstand So and backs away from him. 10^th is her friend. Her sadness will be magnified if she sees that her lover is the one who kills her friend. Soo’s visions are coming true, one by one. My heart is going to ache tomorrow. Just when 10^th and his wife are getting along and falling in love. Omo. I just can’t.  

After this, I foresee the rebellion coming from So, BA, and the General. Maybe with the help of the Kangs? Ji Mong and the General both hinted that So can control Shinju now, given that he’s married to the princess (thanks Mu). That’s the only way I can see So having an army strong enough to fight Yo’s army. Remember that Wook ordered for all the clan’s private army join the royal army. So, this is your wakeup call homie. Time to fight for the throne. Time for Gwangjong to rise.

Sorry if my comments are disjointed. I can’t string things together because my emotions are all over the place right now. We’re nearing the end and it seems everything is working against SoSoo ship. Every time we get something happy, we pay for it ten folds. I must love pain.

That bed scene you talk about. Did the original show it ( I haven't watched it, so no idea)  or we had to guess what happened? I doubt that the drama will show it. I DON'T MIND IT. Like you I'm for it, lol.

Does anyone know why WS was tied at the top of the castle? I only remember him saying it was Mu that saved him. Was it because someone took over the castle and thought that if they tied WS to the wall, the archers wouldn't attack?

Still, SHR confusing me, the ratings aren't that good, but they're always on the top3 in Naver and even the previews reach 1 million views, I mean is it a success or a flop in Korea? 

 

What I know is a success internationally, it seems like it was just ranked again on Tumblr's fandometrics.

No matter how spectacular that scene was, it left a bitter sweet feels It is the moment were finally HS came to him, all what's left is So declaring his love, no doubt So knew exactly the moment he saw her wearing his hairpin.. he's no longer in an unrequited love, that finally she feels the same way he does. but what!  he is forced to ignore what should have been the happiest moment of his life. However, I do think HS never bought his "I forgot" -- she answered "take your time"(no angst needed), god kudos to the writer.. this is how well-founded their relationship is

Remember when we were saying, I miss the spunky HS.. for me this scene shows how she finally went back being herself yet more grown up/mature. Their bickering defines the word cute at it's finest just like my preference with music, classics are the best! just like classic 10th century Goryeo date

A lot already has been said and I totally agree to all of it just to add up, I love how they both closed their eyes leisurely/gently and not simultaneously then then then the smooch he kissed her so delicately yet hot enough to melt her lips ~  (better stop, I'm about to enter byuntae mode ) .. crap I'm grinning like a fool  just by remembering the kiss  and yes great point! how important it is that HS words were "..Don't forget it" (sorry my friend can't quote you, but credits to whoever you are  I'm too drained after backreading 20+ pages )

Another note before the mutual kiss..

I like how the marriage between Moo's daughter made HS's resolution over her feelings towards So.. Not his marriage to YH that we all know and expecting, it's inevitable written in history  I like it how they made HS feels the desperation not because of jealousy against other "woman" and not by a mere innocent child, but it's the angst of losing So, her love  Call me S or M   but I needed that, HS to shed tears on the thought of losing his fated lover. 

Chaeryeong/Won/Wook/Yo (Dark Side)

Can't you guys cut our OTP some slack? who am I kidding  

• CYxWon, I still can't label anything on their relationship but I do feel that CY is one-sided in love with Won and let him manipulates her. It's just so sad in reality love weights more than friendship.
• Won / Wook / Yo, I wanna beat the crap outta them   I hate how they perfectly do their evil deeds.. so sly and vicious. but props to them, they doing well done as a villain, I'm hating them af. 
  (Agree, also got goosebumps  when Wook sarcastically jabs So, with the upcoming marriage )

 

Moo/Ji Mong/Baek Ah/Eun & Sundeok (Good Side)

Great that they didn't ruin Moo's character until the end, at least he remained loyal to So as So to him. RIP, big brother bear one more thing, I'm not familiar with the real actor but he sure is a good one.. I'm convinced on how he acts insane with all the paranoia.

Never thought JM had that kind of side of him, guess I'm overthinking that his character is mysterious as a phantom, he somehow feels like a second father to Moo.. 
(Hey guys, the conversation between Wook and Moo about abdicating his throne in his favour.. if I get it right, did Wook meant that he's no meant to be a king like false born under the star of a king? all fabricated by the late king and JM?)

Eun & Sundeok, nooo they're like the 2nd thing after So and Baek Ah bro goals.. that has a relationship that may not have a great start, progressed pretty messy but certainly not fvcked up and as soon when a possibility of happy ever after is being lighted.. freaking dramagods just sent a grim reaper knocking at their door to eradicate their little-innocent-love-story

A lot of people in Korea didn't watch ep 14 because they assumed it was canceled. Hence the lower rating.

 

The scene of child Wang So tied up as a hostage is part of what was skipped in episode 3. Hae Soo came to his room to return his hairpin, but left when she saw him having a nightmare of his childhood. Supposedly the Chungju Yu clan and Shinju Kang clan had a feud between them (which doesn't make sense to me as they're not geographically close), so when the Yus were attacking the Kangs for some reason, they put So up there to stop their attack. It is speculated that Mu was the one that saved him then. In ep 3, So wakes up and follows Soo to the stone piles and they have a discussion on motherhood that leads to So eventually deciding on covering up his mother's plot that was added later to the rerun version of the episode in Korea. This is also why when Wang So tells Hae Soo that he'll be living in the palace, she tells him to stop having bad dreams.

When I watched Hae Soo repeatedly trace over the Chinese characters in the letter that Wang So sent her, I'm reminded of the ending of the Chinese version.

Spoiler:

The reason why the 4th prince never saw her letter's contents before her death was that he threw it away.

But why did he throw it away? Because the letter was in an envelope with only indications that it was from the 14th prince, who he was pissed at.

Why was the letter in an envelope? Because the 14th prince saw that Ruoxi's (Hae Soo's Chinese counterpart) handwriting was the SAME as the 4th prince (it was bad to have the same handwriting as the emperor). He thought it was best to hide her handwriting, and thus put it into an envelope before giving it to the 4th prince.  

Now, the question is: 

Could the drama be setting the stage for a similar scenario by having Hae Soo learn to mimic Wang So's handwriting?

in the cversion 13th handed 9th the letter that CR character wrote which indicated she did loved him and 9th said how come Ruoxi cannot let him die in peace. 9th was place under house arrest but he was given poison for easier death
