[Drama 2016] Cheese In The Trap 치즈 인 더 트랩

I am so loving this drama!  PHJ is nailing the character.  YJ is such a complex, very layered person to portray.  I LOVE all the charactors LOL..  I haven't read the webtoons but will once I have more time.  The drama is hitting the right spots and the viewership rating is showing that.  FIGHTING CITT!  Episode 3 is my fav so far.  Love the interactions from the main characters.  

Fav scenes from Epi 3:

1) YJ rescued HS - Isn't hot that he rescued her?  I want YJ to do that to me too....should i fly to korea for that???

2) the Kimbap dinner - So cute.  YJ was so happy!

3) Walking HS back to her home.  Isn't he cute.  telling her he would walk her back everyday.

I can't wait for their relationship to progress.  It will be just too cute for words.

But was going through yest night's chat.. and now when i watch that scene..where he is following her because she is so upset...and ofc its abt him making sure she is fine ... adn give her space to brood as well... but look carefully his expressions..

 

If the bG is replaced with a horror tune..that scene will easily transform into a stalker stalking its prey..  

 

And this is epitome of good acting..because instead of giving emotions (like in any kdrama) that are kind .. because all of us know exactly why he is following her.. this guy doesn't give up on the essence of who his character is... 

 

I don't know how to explain this..but that scene is so powerful..and all other scenes..

 

Damn i m in love... ( in you from another star.. he plays a perfect nice guy..never creepy..therefore, i can totally understand the nuances he is bringing into this character) .. m in love..

I so agree with you!  YJ give the vibes of a guy in love but not sure how to express it.  I am so glad that he has asked her at end of epi 3 and we didn't have to wait until episode 15.  Its so refreshing to watch a drama that is in tune with the progress of the characters.  HS is sure not pique with interest as YJ is but she is sure attracted to YJ but not sure how to respond since he is probably the first guy who she has interest besides her schooling.  I am patiently waiting for the progress of YJ & HS.  I hope that the drama will not disappoint us viewers......

Hehehe if PHJ's picture on the Kimbap when I was in Korea last year I would buy out the whole store!  They are so delish and extra incentive if PHJ pic on it LOL!!  If the convenience stores here in the states have them, I would diligently go every day to buy some LOL

I am so in love with Yoo Jung. He is handsome , smart and brooding. I think Yoo Jung is not a bad person but he tries so hard to be nice but people just won't leave him alone. He is just trying to live his life but people just love to use him. He finally meets someone who isn't trying to use him and he finds it refreshing. 

Hong Seol is a sweet girl but people like to take advantage of her because she refuses to sat and up for herself.  She has great friends but causes a lot of of misunderstanding because they don't understand the position she is in. 

 

Chingu's Do you think the professor is right that Hong Seol doesn't know how to be a team player????? Please help me out here.  

Clearly I saw she tried to work with them but they never wanted to work together. They always had an excuse for not meeting.

The selling of the triangle kimbap is insane but not gonna lie, if I was in Korea I would go and buy some too. I think it has a PHJ sticker on it. I would want to add his face to my personal collection too...

I was so shocked when Jung admitted that he was being childish in his behavior and that it was a poor way for him to express his feels. I went from casually enjoying the scene to sitting up straight in shock. He knows his faults and admitted to it *applauds* He was the cutest most happiest thing when Seol asked him to eat. Soo freaking adorable. He has asked her so many times and gotten rejected. He had to practically drag her to eat the last time, and this time she asked him He went from  to  so quick LOL. PHJ is killing it in this role. Also he is just an adorable dork and truly a child in a man's body. I can't believe he practiced to be able to open the triangle kimbap perfectly. Then he just looks at her grinning and waiting for applause. He was such cute little thing there. I like it when he lets his guard down (is not menacing) and just enjoys himself while being himself.

I'm so in love with this drama. I total think Yoo Jung is misunderstood. he is not the type of person to explain himself especially to the people that he feels that are close to him and should know him. Does anyone know the song played at the end of episode 2? I'm dying to find that song...please anyone.

I can't even function properly. I love this show to pieces. Three episodes and poof! Season 1 is over. 

While reading the webtoon, I was shipping Seol with InHo and constantly telling her to run away from Jung. But the drama makes me become more understanding that perhaps Jung is not a psycho but just an archetypal INTJ romantic hero. The third-person perspective helps.

I kinda have a feeling that YJ is probably guilty abt his past with In Ho...just him, not the sister (she's so annoying!)

And I feel that he is trying to make things right with them...in a way...he's just so complex it's so hard to decipher the things he does!

AND everytime he smiles...I forget that he has a dark side to him, especially the last few scenes with seol...he was almost giddy hahaha

Last night's episode is very relatable. I wish they could balance the romance and the slice of life genre through the end. and the fight between Seol and Bora is very much realistic.

I'm kicking myself for leaving Korea right before this is aired (was working there for a while). Coz I'm craving some triangle kimbap at the moment. Well, I can't get them from my local 7-11 anymore, just have to settle with the next best thing: grabbing some leftover rice with seaweed and kimchi and making a wrap out of it. The shape is just a luxury at the moment and the sticker, all well, everyone's got imagination..

Not sure how it works with team projects but I like working solo.. I can't rely on fellow team members to do their work. But now that I'm an ahjumma, I work with a team filled with expertees so it varies with age groups. 
I think what she meant was that HS had her chance to speak up and rat on her team members for not making any contributions. 

 

Have you read the novel, chingu? It's quite fascinating and much more slower!

Basically, IH used to be good friends with YS in the past when they were younger but because of a slight misunderstanding, IH's right hand was injured and he lost hope in playing piano. He was bullied and IH misunderstand YS for not intervening when he should have and so he blamed YS for everything. Someone correct me if I got this wrong because I read the webtoon when the flashbacks occurred back in early 2015. It is a long webtoon for those who have not read it, you should because there are a lot more intimate and detailed scenes. Tehehee.
