I remember back when it aired in 2017 that Because This is My First Life was kind of a sleeper hit that international kdrama viewers ended up loving and choosing as the best drama that year. Everyone was watching it. Except for me because I was in a drama slump that year.

Funnily enough it wasn't the most popular drama in Korea - it was way more popular among international viewers than with k-netz.

 

Was feeling like a romcom, and this one is not disappointing me with 5 episodes left. Contract marriage is always fun.

 

The ML and his cat reminds me of James Bond's Blofeld villain though

@sweetroad Good drama! Like I always say, 10-12 episodes would have been enough, but it was a good run! It gets 7.5/10 points from me.

I tried watching goong again. I dont know why I always get stuck after 1st ep. I know it's a well loved kdrama and ideally the one that ticks all the boxes for me, but for some reason I can't get past the 1st ep. Is it because I think the male lead looks and acts boring? Maybe. I dont know. Meh

Maybe? Let's just say that Ju Ji Hoon oppa's acting was a bit stiff in Goong... He did improve after that drama though. I love Goong because the story is interesting.

 

Now that I have bingewatched Mask Girl and Because This Is My First Life, what should I bingewatch today? Am thinking of maybe trying out Business Proposal, but am open for other suggestions too!

It's up to you Ms. Koko. I mean I find the story interesting and just choose to ignore the ML's stiff acting. He does get a bit better as the drama progresses, but he's no way near the FL's acting. Also, since it is a 24 episode drama, some of it gets a bit repetitive, so you may want to use the FF button at your convenience.

I would say that try to watch (partially FF) the first few episodes and see if you can get into it. The story does get more interesting once they are married and have to face married life. It's a typical contract marriage drama.
