He called her a “pretty princess”, and posted the featured pic along with his announcement. Awwww… She’s going to be one beautiful child based on genes alone. The two are extremely low profile so I don’t expect to see any photos floating around, but wishing the family health and happiness. Such a sweet moment for their fans and even sweeter that the couple shared the news with their fans personally. Lovely, lovely pair.

Rain, Kim Tae-hee welcome first daughter

Singer Rain announced that he and his wife actress Kim Tae-hee have welcomed a baby girl into their family. 

“Thank you. It’s a pretty princess. I will raise her to become a person who can contribute to the world,” the singer wrote on his Instagram Wednesday. 

Rain’s agency said both mother and child are healthy and well but refused to reveal the exact birth date of the baby girl.

Rain, who is set to appear on KBS’ upcoming survival audition show “The Unit” as a “mentor,” did not attend the show‘s press meeting Wednesday.

Rain and Kim tied the knot in January and announced in May that Kim was 15 weeks pregnant.

Star couple Rain, Kim Tae-hee welcomes first child

SEOUL, Oct. 25 (Yonhap) -- Singer-producer Rain and actress Kim Tae-hee have recently become parents of a baby girl, according to the singer Wednesday.

 

"Thank you. She's a beautiful princess. We will raise her to be good for the world," singer Rain wrote on his Instagram account. Rain Company, the singer's agency, said it was not aware when the baby was born.

 

Rain, real name Jung Ji-hoon, and actress Kim got married in January. The two stars first met on the set for a TV commercial shoot in 2011 and started dating in the fall of 2012.

 

Debuting as a pop singer in 2002, Rain was named one of the "100 Most Influential People" by U.S. Time magazine in 2006 and 2011. He is set to appear on KBS 2TV's upcoming music audition show "The Unit" as an emcee. 

 

Kim is best known for her roles in Korean dramas, such as "Stairway to Heaven" (2003), "Love Story in Harvard" (2004), "Iris" (2009), "My Princess" (2011) and "Yong-pal" (2015).

Rain first shared a clip of the female participants saying, “Time to shine! Congratulations on the birth of your daughter, Rain!” He then wrote as the caption, “A touching message from the members of ‘The Unit.’ I’m getting teary. #Happystagram #Blessed day #I promise I’ll repay everyone by helping these [participants] fly. #’The Unit’ is finally airing its first episode this week.”

Actress Kim Tae Hee has set aside her acting career and will focus on raising her first baby with husband and singer Rain.

 

This was announced from the actress' side after she gave birth to a daughter. Rain revealed the good news on Instagram on October 25, where he wrote, "Thank you... She's a beautiful princess~ We'll raise her to be a child that helps the world. #Blessed."

 

For now, Kim Tae Hee's career will take a backseat as she takes on her new role as a mother of her newborn.

 

"Kim Tae Hee has healthily delivered her baby. Currently, only the family members have gathered in celebration. Kim Tae Hee will focus only on her baby for a while. Specific promotional activities have not been planned. Rain will be busy with his comeback and 'The Unit', however, he's already glued next to his daughter," the actress' representative stated.

 

The public learned about the star couple's relationship in 2013. They got married in a simple ceremony last January in Seoul and went to Bali, Indonesia for their honeymoon.

 

Kim Tae Hee was revealed to be 15 weeks pregnant in May 2017 and was expected to give birth in late October or early November.

 

Korean media reported that Kim Tae Hee and Rain decided to keep the umbilical cord blood of their baby after she gave birth at M Obstetrics and Gynecology center in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.

 

As per reports, the first thing that the couple did was to have their daughter's cord blood stored at a cord blood bank for future use.

 

According to the Baby Center, "cord blood is the blood in your baby's umbilical cord. It contains stem cells that can grow into blood vessels, organs, and tissues. Cord blood stem cells are the subject of FDA-regulated clinical trials exploring their suitability for helping those with autism, brain injury, and other conditions. These specialized cells are already used to treat dozens of diseases."

 

It added that cord blood stem cells can be used to treat different diseases including leukemia, aplastic anemia and Hodgkin's disease.

Rain to release new album in December

Singer Rain has teamed up with Brand New Music to return with a new album in December, reports said Thursday.

Rain and Taewan, an R&B singer and producer with the music label Brand New Music, are currently working on the final stages of Rain’s album, reports said. 

Most of the tracks on the album have been co-written and co-produced by Rain and Taewan. 

Taewan participated in producing Rain’s 2008 album “Rainism” and his 2010 album “Back to the Basic.” He has also worked as a producer for K-pop groups such as MBLAQ and 4Minute. 

The title track will be an intense hip-hop beat accompanied by a powerful dance performance. 

In January, Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, married actress Kim Tae-hee, who recently gave birth to a daughter.

Rain will appear in the upcoming KB audition program “The Unit,” which begins airing Saturday,

I saw a clip of him in The Unit. Every time he smiled/laughed, I could only see and feel the pure bliss and happiness in him.
