'트윅스'서 킬러 변신 "시놉 보고 깜짝"


송재림은 대학생 때 모델 활동으로 연예계에 입문했다. 막상 대학에 들어갔지만 자신이 생각했던 것과 다르고, 설렘을 느끼지 못한 것. 그러나 막상 나와 보니 무언가를 찾기란 쉬운 일이 아니었다. "망망대해였어요. 세상에서 삶을 경험하다보면 뭔가 느끼지 않았나 했는데, 지금 느끼고 있는 것 같아요. TV에 나오는 내 모습을 열망한다 갈망한다 그거를 꿈꾸고 시작한 것이 아니에요. 저는 영상을 보는 재미, 약간의 관심과 흥미가 있었는데 시간이 지나다 보니까 조금씩 잘 한 것 같아요. 30에 와서야 여기서 의미를 찾은 것 같아요."


그러면서 "늦었어요. 그런데 그건 제 팔자라고 생각해요"라고 쿨하게 말했다. 그는 소신 있는 사람이다. 하루하루 타협해가면서, 배우로서 의미를 찾아간다는 그는 자신의 10년 뒤를 상상해봤다. "10년 후면, 40세가 될텐데 배우를 계속하고 있겠죠. 그때쯤이면 결혼도 했을 것 같아요. 이 일을 하면서 그 어떤 확답을 드리지는 못하겠지만 그때도 이 일을 하면서 살았으면 좋겠어요. 증거를 남기고 싶은 거예요. 살아있다는 증거일 수도 있고 어쨌든 증거를 남기고 싶죠."


송재림은 이제 또 다른 변신을 한다. 그는 8월 예정인 MBC 수목드라마 '투윅스(Two Weeks)'(소현경 극본, 손형석 연출)에 캐스팅 됐다.


'투윅스'는 '찬란한 유산' '내딸 서영이'의 소현경 작가 작품으로 많은 기대를 모으고 있다. 의미 없는 삶을 살다 살인누명을 쓴 한 남자가 자신에게 백혈병에 걸린 어린 딸이 있다는 사실을 알게 되고, 딸의 생명을 살리기 위해 고군분투하는 2주간의 이야기를 그린다. 송재림은 극중 이준기를 쫓는 전문 킬러 역을 맡아 카리스마를 발산할 예정이다.


송재림은 "시놉시스를 보고 감탄했어요"라며 "작가님이 주인공 입장에서 쓴 것이 아니라 적대자들까지 상세하게 쓰셨더라고요. 보통 드라마를 보면 주인공들한테 목표를 주고, 돌을 던지고 갈등을 주잖아요. 그런데 돌을 주는 사람들한테도 사연과 드라마가 있고 대비되는 그런 것이 있더군요"라고 말했다. 현재 그는 운동으로 몸 관리를 하면서, 액션 스쿨을 다니고 있는 중이다. 그의 목표는 현장에서 즐거움을 아는 배우가 되는 것이다. 그렇게 하다 보면 연기는 자연스럽게 성장하지 않을까. 배우 송재림의 앞날이 기대되는 대목이다.

I actually can't wait for this drama. I can't wait when they start filming so we will have more news to read and see.

I hope we see pictures and articles right after the script reading.  Are they usually posted on internet sites that soon?
