Here's new still images from upcoming SBS drama series THE HEIRS starring Lee Min-Ho and Park Shin-Hye.

The still images are from the first scene that Lee Min-Ho and Park Shin-Hye appears together in the drama series. That scene was filmed on August 22, 2013 at an outdoor set in Paju, South Korea.

THE HEIRS will first air October 9, 2013 in South Korea.

Last week I made a recommendation of 5 things that happened in Boys Over Flowers that should never happen in Heirs, but I have to give a whole lot of credit to Boys Over Flowers for all the things it did right. With an all-star cast of Kdrama hotties lined up, we’ve already been guaranteed that one of the most important things from Boys Over Flowers, eye candy, is going to happen in Heirs. Let’s take a look at what other things The Heirs should include to be just as awesome.

1. A Catchy Theme Song

Who could forget “Almost Paaarradiiise!” from BOF? No one. That song came on pretty much anytime one of the F4 were doing some sort of rich boy thing, which was pretty often. I had a love/hate relationship with this song. At first I was like, “What the heck is this?” and then I was like, “Not this song again!” and then I was like, “Almost Parrradissse!” in my shower, and then before I knew it, it managed to sneak its way onto my iPod. All I can say is that if the editors of Heirs know what’s good for them, they better find a theme song just as catchy and gets-stuck-in-your-head obnoxious.

2. Dream Vacations

Trip to an exotic private island anyone? Take me! Take me! Especially if it involves romantic gestures like flying in a private helicopter over a heart shaped island.

Boy, did BOF fulfill everyone’s wildest fantasies of a dream get away. I know I will most likely never experience one of these trips myself, unless I can somehow manage to actually sneak onto set and convince Lee Min Ho to marry me, so instead I enjoy living out these fancy scenarios through Kdramas. Let’s hope we see some of these take place in the beautiful California settings of Heirs!

3. An Awesome Sister

Who’s the coolest sister in all of Kdrama-dom? Goon Joo Hee from Boys Over Flowers. She always managed to show up at the best possible moment to beat Jun Pyo into shape (literally), or to help our leading lady, Jan Di, out of sticky situations. Who wouldn’t love to have her for an older sister or sister in-law? I hope that The Heirs has an older sister-type who is just as cool.

4. An Evil Matriarch

Jun Pyo’s mother is possibly one of the scariest villains ever, and definitely tops the list of evil matriarchs in Kdramas. I know some of you think that this should never happen again, but someone’s got to be there to bring the drama down upon the OTP’s heads. If they just magically end up together with no barriers to overcome how boring would that be? I say bring the evil mother-type on in Heirs!

5. Great Chemistry

We all know that chemistry between the main couple is a maker or breaker in the success of a Kdrama. I, for one, have watched entire Kdramas against my better judgment because of it. Not only did Jun Pyo and Jan Di has an amazing magnetism, but the entire cast of BOF had chemistry that made you believe they were real life friends and lovers. With such a stellar cast lined up, I doubt Heirs will have a problem in this department, so let’s sit back and wait for the magic to begin!

Sure BOF is a classic in Kdrama history ,, although it was showing or focusing on wealthy friends / teenagers but still was able to got the Korean audience and received an excellent rating as well as the amazing global perception .. 

From the list above , I wish and waiting to see such a song as Almoooooooost Paradise one , which still showing every time in different variety shows as a theme of a pretty / flower boy <3

After a weekend off from official news about Heirs (The Inheritors or Those Who Wear the Crown, Withstand the Weight: The Heirs), the drama is back on track in doling out the goodies. Today’s official stills reveal yet another rich high school girl – Krystal of f(x) plays Lee Bo Na, the heiress to an entertainment empire and the ex-girlfriend of Lee Min Ho‘s Kim Tan. They dated before he went abroad to study, and she still nurses a slight attraction towards him but it looks like the drama will pair her up with Kang Min Hyuk‘s Yoon Chan Young and thereby taking both of them out of the multi-car pile up that will be the central love conflict. I admit to never seeing Krystal in anything before, but she’s actually the only member of the main cast who is actually high school aged in real life. I like that she also looks healthy and fresh-faced, not overly manufactured. But I do have reservations about her acting based on these stills alone, because she’s making some very awkward looking faces. If it’s for a certain scene then that’s fine, but she doesn’t quite connect with the camera so far. Unlike Kim Ji Won‘s other rich girl Rachel Yoo who made her entrance in surrounded by vintage LV suitcaes Krystal’s first stills don’t scream “I am butt rich!”, and instead she looks like your garden variety chic student. Heirs is currently filming all over Los Angeles still, with Lee Min Ho, Kim Ji Won, Park Shin Hye, Choi Jin Hyuk, and Kang Min Hyuk all on location for whatever scene requires their character to be overseas. Another lead Park Hyung Sik of ZE:A tweeted to his fans that he was going to LA to join the Heirs cast this week so that will add one more handsome lead to the already bursting at the seams overseas cast. I’m actually re-thinking all my wariness towards Heirs being pretty much a remake of dramas like Boys Before Flowers and Kim Eun Seok‘s own Lovers in Paris, but what if she actually is doing that but doing it right this time around? If that is her intention then I’m going to have to anticipate Heirs with a completely different mind set, one that is looking for all the typical tropes but with the hope that it’s done right.

It’s what fans have been waiting for! Stills of “The Heirs” leads Park Shin Hye andLee Min Ho‘s first meeting have been unveiled, and they promise some great chemistry between the two. 

The first scene between the two was filmed August 22 in the city of Paju, and the stills show the two lead characters looking very close and already on the road to producing some major sparks in their relationship.

Lee Min Ho plays Kim Tan, heir to a conglomerate, who is given everything in this world, even some scars in his heart. Park Shin Hye plays Cha Eun Sang, heir to poverty, who bears that weight with great fortitude.

Lee Min Ho commented, “I am happy to be working with a writer, director, actors, and staff that I resepct. Just like the title ‘The One Trying to Wear the Crown, Bear Its Weight,’ I will engage in the filming with a sense of responsibility and constant exertions to deliver a good drama to viewers.” 

Park Shin Hye commented, “I am giving it my all to become Cha Eun Sang by reading the script multiple times and completing her character with detailed style and props. I will work my hardest to get closer to the audience via Eun Sang, and work closely with the director to portray my character with more detail. Please give a lot of love to ‘The Heirs.’”

“The Heirs” airs Wednesday-Thursday on SBS starting October 9. Readers, do you think Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye will have good chemistry in the drama?
