SEOUL, Jan. 1 (Yonhap) -- Star actor Hyun Bin and his on-screen partner in the hit drama "Crash Landing On You," Son Ye-jin, have been dating for eight months, their agencies confirmed Friday.

 

"The two have become intimate as co-stars and have developed such intimacy into a romantic one as lovers after the series concluded," said VAST Entertainment, the management of Hyun Bin, in a statement.

 

The two had repeatedly denied the dating rumors. Rumors had particularly intensified during their costarring on "Crash Landing On You," tvN's hit rom-com TV series that launched in December 2019, even followed by reports that the two were arranging a wedding.

 

The acknowledgement also came from Son's agency, including the fact that the relationship began in March, a month after the conclusion of the TV show.

Famous South Korean actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin announced that they are dating. They had the starring roles in tvN drama “Crash Landing on You” describing a love story between a North Korean military officer and a South Korean high-class heiress.

 

Hyun Bin’s agency VAST Ent. said on the first day of 2021 that the two stars worked on the drama and started their relationship after it ended, asking their fans to show continuous support and love. MSTeam Ent. where Son Ye-jin belongs announced on the same day that they started dating after the drama was over, meaning that they have been together since last March when “Crash Landing on You” ended.

 

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin had denied their relationship whenever their relationship was rumored and reported. Their love relationship was covered right after they starred the film “The Negotiation” in September 2018. However, they said that it is not true. In January 2019, there was a revelation of photos showing them being together at a supermarket in Los Angeles, followed by news in January 2020 that they were in a relationship. In response, the two actors explained that they are close friends. Finally, they admitted that they are in love after South Korean tabloid Dispatch on Friday disclosed photos depicting Son Ye-jin coming closer to Hyun Bin’s car to talk to him.

 

“Crash Landing on You” garnered a great deal of popularity in South Korea with the viewer ratings recording a high of 21.7 percent. It has also been well-received by Japanese fans as one of the most popular K-dramas following “Winter Sonata,” since it ranked first among popular videos on Netflex in Japan and it was reported that Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi watched the whole series of the drama.

The fictional lovers of the hit TV series "Crash Landing On You"(2019-20) have become lovers in real life. Actors Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin, two of the leading stars of the Korean wave, acknowledged that they have been dating for eight months.

 

"The two became intimate friends as co-stars and developed such intimacy into a romantic relationship after the drama ['Crash Landing On You'] wrapped,” VAST Entertainment, the agency for Hyun, said in a statement on Friday afternoon. MS Team Entertainment, the agency for Son, also confirmed that the pair are in a relationship.

 

After the announcements from the agencies, Son wrote on her Instagram account, “I’m grateful that I could meet such a good person. I will make efforts to nurture [the relationship] well and beautifully.”

 

Son and Hyun, both 38 years old, had repeatedly denied dating rumors which first began after they co-starred in the crime thriller film “The Negotiation” in 2018. Yes I love this too. Hope she is feeling the love. Her instagram followers keep on increasing. More people keep liking her last post or even her friends are continuing to like her post every day. I don't know why I kept checking or going back to her post to look on who else had liked since then  

 

So many stylists, photographers, her endorsements etc too had liked or even those who know HB too from her followers list  

 

Actually I read back on her old interview during My Wife Got Married about dating -  she said she is honest in her relationships and how strong relationships are important to her. So that is why she chose to admit then too because she really believes in their relationship. I mean technically she was leaving hints on her instagram account since June with all the likes back then too. She probably knew it was also not the right time because HB is also very busy then. It is better to admit when you are much further along in the relationship. Plus we know how private she is about her relationships. However we could slowly tell she was opening up more because she was posting on her instagram a lot since June. Thanks @ElectricHearts. I'm pretty sure it was a video, just can't recall which! I watched SYJ's interviews when she was promoting her various movies/projects so it could be one of those videos on yt. It would have been before TN but not too early in her career, probably from her 30s.

 

Lovely to read her thoughts from the article you posted (and her black/white portrait pic there is one of my favourite of hers).  SYJ has a lot of relatable thoughts for women in their 30s on marriage/staying single.  Single or married, the important thing is to be able to be happy and live your life on your terms.  Just really happy for her that she found HB in her life at the right time, even if she may not have been consciously looking for it.

 

It's fun to look back to see what SYJ and HB said before about what they look for in a partner.  Life and love can take us by surprise though, and our outlook changes with age, so keep an open mind!

@puan iryantie no updates on Cross. Sam Worthington's IMDB page does look less crazy now. He did work on a couple more projects by the end of 2020. He does have his Australia theatre debut in April. Unless the theatre project, he had booked is no longer happening. So I still not sure how he is doing Cross. Ethan Hawke is also currently more busier now. There was one article or translation I read that mention March-April but I really dont think Cross is filming then if any of those actors are potentially doing the movie. If none of them are, then who knows who else is in the movie. I think they might announce closer to filming due to Covid. Not sure. I guess we will find out soon.
