My heart went 'thump'  'thump' like Sunny's footsteps as Grim managed to conceal himself.

I also breathed out a sigh of relief but who knew she would walk back! And of course she suspected something.

    Anyone can identify those flowers?

And I thought this would be the end of the episode.

@NRGchick  it's cherry blossom, also known as the KING's cherry in Korean.

  2. @joyezz  I want to see the BTS of that cherry blossom hat-off scene. That must be very very fun to film. And dang it with the black clothes I already imagine Lee Dong-wook and Yoo In-na in some hot spy film. Imagine the potentials...

EDIT: I haven't responded to the whole "Kim Eun-sook rejection" uproar because it hits too close to home. I've been rejected many times at my workplace, too, and like @Puppywookie, I'm only a year younger than him so this is depressing and for a year I was really depressed to the point of contemplating suicide. But his story has inspired me not to give up, to persevere more.

Also, @giegie and @chaterinegunawan We're from the same frustrating, I mean lovely, country that starts with "I", aren't we?

A part of me doesn’t want SN to remember her past as the Queen, it is too cruel for her. What good will it is for her for it only brings her pain. Just by listening KS story about her past enough to make her suffers. TT TT

@gutibear Maybe it's cruel of me in saying this, but as much as we'd like the past not to exist, it still does. Sunny has to face the pain, before she can move on and hopefully become stronger. I feel like she will be an even braver individual if she gets through this ordeal.

Besides, when Wang Yeo and Kim Shin both remember the past (in Wang Yeo's case, this hasn't happened yet), they have to talk things out, argue, etc etc but it won't be complete without Kim Sun on board.

I suspect (based on Ssaem @bebebisous33 's idea, actually), that one of the reasons why Kim Shin is still around is the "past debts" he hasn't settled with those two, his sister and the King. Of course, the complicated romance with Eun-tak is more than significant, but Kim Sun and Wang Yeo both played roles in the general's execution.

@naritul I sleep around 2-4 hours a day, always with my cellphone within an arm's reach (so that I can browse this forum any time), or my laptop turned on for Goblin stuff.:sweatingbullets: Talk about addiction.

    WAIT.

Wow that makes sense. I remember jokingly making a post on DB that the photoshopping looks bad and DH is looking like he's floating above, then later came to the original picture and he was sitting on the edge of the sofa for real. So, this has to be intentional. So the posters are important after all. I remember the significance of Reply'88's title page too :S.

@nearsea (hello!) and @ShinRaeMi (Hello, fellow Healerite!) I think @staygold pointed out the same thing about Deok-hwa's place in the poster. He looks more posh and dignified in it,  and he stares up. At first I thought it was because he has no loveline and will not be involved in the romances.

  6. @carolinedl Thanks so much for the information! I wonder if there were circumstances that would "force" people to become eunuchs in history (like Hong Ra-on in Moonlight Drawn by the Clouds), maybe their families were impoverished in some misfortune, etc...

I also wonder, since Eunuch Park wanted to be a king and put a king under his heels, was he an impoverished/unfortunate nobleman himself? I mean he certainly cultivated a sense for learning, which was uncommon in that era (or so I think) for lowborn people.

  7. @hushhh The thing is, Grim Reapers are not reincarnations but dead souls who are assigned to reap other dead souls. The junior Grim Reaper (Samshin's tenant) and our Grim Reaper said so in Eps 2 and 4.

Since their tasks are located between the world of the living and the dead, they are "privileged", in the sense that they appear as humans, in solid corporeal bodies--unlike common ghosts--and have bodily needs for food, drink, and shelter.

Therefore, as dead souls, their sexes = those of their living selves', i.e. the males are still males, females are still females. They can only alter their appearances (badly wounded to pristine (like Jung-hyun in Ep 8), old to young (the boy in Quebec), etc). Some can't or don't even change their appearances (like the blind man).

So yes, our Grim Reaper was the king. This is his current soul form.

I think the writer make reference from vampire diaries, walking dead, supenatural and many more that can be used this drama.

I hope can hear dialogue from the Kim Shin similar to damon vampire diaries:w00t:

When I killed someone its supossed to be dead...LoL

     5 hours more in tv....

@shynaz  It's similar to Dean Winchester's line in Supernatural, too

    "What's dead should stay dead."

And yet in the series there are many, many characters who are dead, and then brought back to life. (EDIT: Or came back as ghosts)

I guess the same lines are applicable to Eunuch Park here.
