What Mary Thinks: A Witch’s Court

screen-shot-2017-11-04-at-1-59-46-pm.png

Who knew that a drama about prosecutors investigating sexual assault cases would be just as nerve-wracking and engaging as it is charming? This drama is really pulling wonders on folks, hence, the strong and surprising ratings that it has been pulling in since the second week of its run.

Starring Jung Ryeo-won and Yoon Hyun-min, the drama centers around their characters Ma Yi-Deum and Yeo Jin-wook as prosecutors tackling sexual assault cases. They find themselves often working together to solve these cases and in between all of this are also conflicts that they two are dealing with in their respective individual lives. Annnnnd of course, our two main characters also happen to fall in love with each other as well.

When I first heard that ‘A Witch’s Court’ was going to be primarily about our main characters solving or investigating sexual assault cases, I was a bit wary and cautious. I wasn’t too sure how the drama was going to go about doing this. After watching the last 8 episodes, the drama has been carefully treading around this sensitive topic and for the most part is doing a decent job in giving us content and substance without turning viewers off.

Ma Yi-deum is an independent, strong, and stubborn woman, but she knows what she wants and she’ll do anything she can to get what she wants. Sometimes, this doesn’t always work out or she gets in trouble for the things she does, but I love how persistent and passionate she is towards her work. Nothing stops her when she has her mind set on something and in the upcoming episodes, we’re definitely going to see this when she battles against Jo Gap-soo, the soon-to-be mayor who might have been the reason for Yi-deum’s mother’s disappearance. Things are going to get a lot more personal, serious, and intense and while I am totally all here to witness Yi-deum kick some people’s butts and finally receive the closure she has been longing for after so many years, it’s definitely not going to be an easy journey.

screen-shot-2017-11-04-at-1-59-59-pm.png

(OMGGGG LOOK AT THE WAY HE LOOKS AT HER. IF THIS ISN’T LOVE THEN IDK WHAT IS)

Which is why it’s great that she has Yoon Hyun-min’s character Jin-wook as not only her partner in crime, neighbor, and co-worker, but also her support system. They’re each going through their own obstacles in life, but they remain as each other’s support system and network. We saw this in episode 8 when Jin-wook supported Yi-deum and took her home after she had a talk with Gap-soo at the rooftop of the building. Overwhelmed with emotions and feelings, she reached out to Jin-wook for help and he being the kind, caring, and supportive boyfriend person that he is,  he was willing to take her home and even wanted to hold her hand to reassure her that everything was going to be alright. I like how their relationship is slowly developing and it doesn’t feel rushed. I also like how their relationship is not the drama’s first priority and instead is given to us viewers in increments. I’m dedicated to knowing what’s going to happen to our characters and what exactly happened to Ma Yi-deum’s mother, but I also root for Yi-deum and Jin-wook as a couple because they work well together and balance each other out well even though they’re complete opposites. The next few episodes are going to be even more difficult for our two characters and I’m looking forward to seeing them be there for each other in the upcoming weeks. I’m expecting a lot more emotional and lovey-dovey scenes between the two. Hehe.

I also really like Jung Ryeo-won and Yoon Hyun-min. They’re doing a wonderful job portraying their own respective characters. They’re charming both individually and together and every time Yoon Hyun-min just stares at Jung Ryeo-won, I squeal and melt inside because it’s so darn adorable. I actually first discovered Yoon Hyun-min back in ‘Cruel City’ which is where I first saw him. I haven’t watched many things with him in it ever since, but his character in ‘Cruel City’ stood out to me that he was on my good side since that drama and so I’m glad to see him back as a male lead of a drama. The same applies to Jung Ryeo-won. I remember her most from ‘My Lovely Sam-soon’ because I absolutely loved that drama and it’s still one of my all-time favorites today, but I haven’t really watched her in anything ever since. But I also liked her because of ‘My Lovely Sam-soon’ so I have no complaints with her acting or character in ‘A Witch’s Court’ and I think she’s doing a great job.

 wonder what he said.

sghhh... this site dont 'feel' like site of a drama that is entering the finale week. sghhh... i think the writing of lesser romance but heavy on characters crafting and plots, but 'not confirmed romance' dampened some fans' original zeal. while it is obvious that other dramas however theme simple and not of grand serious topic, but other dramas that focus on just in depth relationship between OTP and very many OTP interactions has sizzling international interests.

it is true that a drama with layered relationships, very indepth honest utopsy of OTP feelings for each otehr and plenty of conflicts between OTP, lots of OTP moments and skinships, plenty of bts will definitely touch fans' heart more.

so, i changed my empty PD to support Ma-Geomsanim and YeoGeom.

“Witch’s Court” Cast Shows Off Their Friendship In Behind-The-Scenes Photos

With two episodes left, new behind-the-scenes photos have been released showing the actors looking friendly on the set of the KBS drama “Witch’s Court.”

“Witch’s Court” has grabbed viewers with its thrilling storyline and shocking twists, resulting in high viewership ratings at the top of its time slot. Despite the fractured relationships and tension on-screen, the actors show a completely different side in these newly released photos.

For example, Ma Yi Deum (Jung Ryeo Won) has a scared look on her face while her on-screen kidnappers, Jin Yeon Hee (Jo Woo Ri), and Yeo Jin Wook (Yoon Hyun Min) smile at the camera. Also, despite playing opposing sides in the courtroom, Baek Min Ho (Kim Kwon), Ahn Tae Kyu (Baek Chul Min), and Heo Yoon Kyung (Kim Min Seo) are crowded together to pose for Ma Yi Deum’s selfie.

In another shot, Yeo Jin Wook can be seen holding up a steno pad that that says, “Viewers please be careful not to catch a cold” with a sweet smile, while Jo Gap Soo (Jun Kwang Ryul) stares intensely with a cloud of smoke around him.

A source from the drama said, “We want to thank the viewers for the interest and love you have given ‘Witch’s Court.’ Because of the nature of the drama, the actors showed off acting that is not easy mentally or physically. However, we are encouraging each other on the set. Please tune in until the final episode next week.”

Witch’s Court: Episode 14

We’re amping up for the final stretch as our heroes close in on Jo Gap-soo. He’s a slippery devil, however, and they find a find that there are still more hurdles to jump before they catch him. Meanwhile, Jo makes a few discoveries of his own that could prove dire.

EPISODE 14 RECAP

WC14-00011.jpg

In court, Jin-wook reveals that Tae-gyu’s team had fabricated the brass knuckle evidence incriminating Min-ho. Lawyer Heo counters that the lab technician who analyzed the glove incriminating Tae-gyu has recently resigned for embezzlement. Ruling that both the glove and knuckles now lack credibility, the judge dismisses them from evidence and asks Jin-wook if he has anything else to offer in Min-ho’s defense.

Smiling from his vantage point above, Chairman Ahn smugly tells his secretary that they might as well leave since the trial is practically over. Just as he turns to go, however, the courtroom doors swing open and Yi-deum steps inside. Introducing herself as Min-ho’s new lawyer, she points at Tae-gyu and accuses him of Soo-ah’s murder.

Spoiler

In a warning tone, the judge asks if she has proof and Yi-deum holds up a flash drive containing the damning video of Tae-gyu brutally beating Soo-ah the night she died. As the video plays, Soo-ah’s grandmother sobs and even Lawyer Heo has to look away in horror.

Jin-wook states that Tae-gyu lied and even manipulated evidence in order to pin the blame on Min-ho. He asserts that Tae-gyu lacks remorse and should therefore serve a life sentence in prison. Overturning the previous verdict, the judge agrees to give Tae-gyu life in prison while Min-ho’s sentence is reduced to five years’ probation.

A protesting Tae-gyu is removed, as Yi-deum and Jin-wook share a cute thumbs-up.

Reeling from shock, Chairman Ahn stumbles out of the courtroom and calls Jo Gap-soo. Jo’s pleasantries are cut off when his brother-in-law accuses him of knowing about the video. Initially confused, Jo’s expression hardens as Chairman Ahn cries that the video condemned Tae-gyu to life in prison.

Jumping back two days, we return to Lawyer Min, Yi-deum, and Jin-wook as they watch the footage of Soo-ah’s beating. They realize that Jo Gap-soo will try to bury the existence of Kingdom when the video is revealed. Knowing that they need to expose it quickly, Lawyer Min worries about Jo’s influence in the media industry, but Jin-wook says he knows just the person to help them.

COMMENTS

Finally!!! Holy cheese on toast, I feared we’d never gain solid footing against Jo Gap-soo. Jo has managed to elude our heroes at every turn and not even because he’s particularly crafty, or covers his tracks well… I mean, he still has Sang-ho’s journal, for Pete’s sake! That was chock-full of evidence against him and he keeps it? For what, sentimental reasons? But no, Jo manages to wriggle away solely thanks to his never-ending web of connections and lucky happenstance. He’s a villain who never truly squirms because he always has an easy out and that chaps my buns.

Not to mention, the convenient way that he suddenly realized that the woman he’d ran into was Mom. He hadn’t recognized her when they’d met, or even seemed to register her face at all, so I find it so bizarre that he would have such an “Aha!” moment. Thank goodness Nurse Choi escaped with Mom before Jo’s henchman had the opportunity to comply with his boss’ orders. But now I’m curious as to who tipped her off. Sang-ho is gone and I doubt Dr. Ko knew anything. My only guess is maybe Nurse Choi noticed something wasn’t right… but either way, I doubt they’re in the clear.

Spoiler

As for our heroes, how funny is Jin-wook dipping his toes into Yi-deum’s not-so-moral waters? I loved his face when Yi-deum made him flash his (suspended) badge and fib. I don’t think Jin-wook is going to the dark side anytime soon, but I like that he’s learning to bend the rules now and then. On the other hand, Yi-deum is learning to rely on others (even if Jin-wook had to resort to petty means in order to get her to divulge her backup plan). I like seeing our leads take these baby steps of growth while not losing sight of the people they are.

WC14-00223.jpg

I was a bit miffed with Min-ho for bartering with Sang-ho’s journal. I understand he wanted the truth behind his brother’s death but I feel like that would naturally come to light when they exposed Jo Gap-soo’s laundry list of criminal activity. And the fact that he had to be convinced to give them the journal in order to get Jo at the end struck me as unnatural. It seems like this was just a convenient filler mission before the final week.

With only two episodes to go, I do wonder if we have enough time to wrap everything up. We’ve spent so much time chasing Jo Gap-soo in circles, that I’m worried as to whether we’ll get satisfactory resolutions for the things I actually care about. Like Yi-deum’s reunion with Mom (I’m still concerned about Mom’s memory… she saw Jo and showed no signs of recognition or fear) and her relationship with Jin-wook! For the time being, they seem to have pushed the conflict with Dr. Ko aside, but it’s not like it’s gone away. Is it too much to ask that we resolve all the problems and still have time for kisses?

On the upside, we’ve gained some more allies while Jo Gap-soo has been throwing away his cohorts like candy at a parade. I don’t see how he’ll weasel out of the oncoming storm (and will ragequit like nobody’s business if he does) but I’m sure he won’t go down without a fight. With just one week left, I’m interested to see how their final battle will play out.

'Witch's Court' Jung Ryeo-won vs Jeon Gwang-ryul, Final Big Match '

http://sports.chosun.com/news/news.htm?id=201711260100223750016215&ServiceDate=20171125

2017112601002237500162151.jpg

[Woohwi's court], which left only two times to Jongyoung, focuses attention on Jungryeonwon and Jeon Gwang Ryul's final big match. Jung Ryeo-won, who appeared as a specialist at the end of the last 14 days, announced the start of a special investigation that set Jeon Gye-ryeol on the spot. Her interest in the future is gathering attention, and her big-match watching points to be unveiled next week will be revealed to stimulate curiosity. KBS 2TV TV drama 'Witch's Court' is a mysterious woman who was forced to be involved in unexpected events during high-speed on the highway on the highway. Yoon Hyun-min), a criminal investigative act that deals with the ugly reality crime cases,

In the last 14 broadcasts, it was announced that the full revenge for Chae Gwang-su (Jeon Gwang-ryul) was to begin, as the figure of Kim Sang-kwo returned to the prosecutor's office as a special report. I have gathered the last minute point 3 that will add fun to the last broadcast next week with the attention being paid to how to dig up the gangster '

In the past 14 broadcasts, it has been revealed that there are two 'secret notebooks' of Baek Sang-ho (Hur Sung-tae, hereinafter referred to as Bae Seung-tae) The first one was killed by mutual acquaintance, and the other was taken from Baek Min-ho (Kim Kwon-min), his brother's brother. In this way, both Gyu-su and Gyu-sang have got a "secret notebook". I can not be sure of which one of the two notebooks is a true 'secret notebook', but I am wondering what kind of confrontation will be done by Lee and Gap.

In addition to the secret notebook, the next and the next are holding tug-of-war with each other. The next year, he holds information about his fountain pen, which is the decisive evidence that he killed the White Chief, and his other weakness, his wife. On the other hand, Gapu was aware of Kwak Young-sil's (weakness) who could be the weak point of the next. It will be a major point of view for their final big match how the two will use their own weapons.

▶ The last minute watching point 2. Death crisis Mourin Young-Sil, daughter Can you rendezvous with mother and daughter?

Gapu recalled that Gapu had encountered Young-sil at the marina, and through the 'secret notebook' of Baek Sang-ho, he discovered the location of Young-sil at the time of Choi Kyung-ja (Seo Ju-hee) It made the people who ordered to remove them without hesitating to let them know that Spirit and the light are in a sluggish state.

Earlier this year, when he heard that Young Chil had died from a fire incident 14 years ago, he was more immersed in revenge for the party leader. Therefore, I wonder how and when I will know that Youngsil is not dead, and I wonder whether YoungSil will be able to escape from the threat of Gap and meet with the next one.

▶ Last minute watching point 3. 'Witch Combination' What is the relationship between the two?

The witch chemi is ripe as Kim Jin-wook and Kim Jin-wook solve the case through repeated investigations. There is a growing interest in the synergies of the two men, who will play another combo in the upcoming "Cho Gap-soo" . In the past, Jin-wook and Jin-wook both made a strange relationship by knowing the ghosts between Gap-suk-suk-young-suk, In the next three months, the lawyer is back in front of Jin-wook and he is working with lawyers and prosecutors to build new relationships. In the middle of the investigation, the view of Duksu and Jin-wook who are thinking and worrying about each other stimulates the curiosity of viewers about what will change in their relationship in the future. Meanwhile, 'Witch' s Court 'will be broadcasted at 10:15 pm on Monday, the 27th.

HERE, what we guess. Heo might be leaking as she felt insecure and couldnt stand CJS any more, doing all his dirty deeds.

all cr. soojeong9212

but why choose a public place, isnt it better if Heo meet them at someone house, or office?

anyway by the finale week, i jsut couldnt be bothered about plotholes.

DB Sunny was right, dont tell me CGS didn't see this coming? that he has been throwing all his allies and aids under the bus. it just matter of times that his second most trusted one will betray him like Baek.  Heo wasnt even half as faithful sincerely as BaekSH.

3 Things To Look Out For In The Final Episodes Of “Witch’s Court”

cr. Y. Chang

Jung-Ryeo-Won-Jun-Kwang-Ryul2.jpg

The final match between Jung Ryeo Won and Jun Kwang Ryul is coming up soon in “Witch’s Court.”

“Witch’s Court” tells the story of Ma Yi Deum (Jung Ryeo Won) and Yeo Jin Wook (Yoon Hyun Min) who are prosecutors dealing with crimes against women and children.

The last episode of the drama hinted at the beginning of Ma Yi Deum’s revenge at Jo Gap Soo (Jun Kwang Ryul). With this long-awaited match coming up, here are the three points to keep an eye on when watching the final episodes of “Witch’s Court.”

pls read actual article to find OUT WHAT ARE THE THREE POINTS.
the portion that mentioned JW:

"Ma Yi Deum and Yeo Jin Wook showed off great chemistry while working as partners in solving cases together at the Department of Crimes Against Women and Children. Their relationship came to a halt after Ma Yi Deum gave up her position as a prosecutor and disappeared for three months, but they reunited when she appeared in of Yeo Jin Wook again as a lawyer.

The two think of each other and worry without realizing it even during investigations. How their relationship will turn out in the end is another thing to look forward to as the final episodes come up.

The production staff of “Witch’s Court” shared, “The battle between special prosecutor Ma Yi Deum and Jo Gap Soo, the mayor of the city of Youngpa, will reach its climax during the final two episodes.” They added that the episodes will also answer the question of whether Ma Yi Deum will be able to prove Jo Gap Soo guilty and put an end to their ill-fated relationship."
