I agreed JYH is so lovely & cute, her beauty is so natural u can tell she hardly wears make up but her beauty is what you call 'skin deep' am i right in my interpretation LOL sorry i get so excited with them! I think from January LDG already broke up with J? can't remember what we heard/read in the news! You can tell she's blooming right? these two worked for 6 mos & it's no surprise to find something from one another about their likes/dislikes & i assume LDG slowly got to know who JYH really is....maybe something he didn't find in his past relationship...and JYH on the other hand also found something special about him!

My Wolgyesu w/drawal is sinking in a little bit with this good news coz otherwise i think i won't be able to do anything & will be absorbed with sadness that a drama that good which we all enjoyed and got attached to them every weekend suddenly is gone...i can't even think of watching other new kdramas at this point hahaha I guess i hv to rewatch some of the epis that one of our chingoos mentioned...epis 29 and other happy moments with our OTP.

@hibiscus23 their agency officially confirmed that LDG & JY broke up around December .. But I think they were thinking of parting way some time before (maybe) LDG decided to end the relationship (I'm using TP sharp perception now haha) I just reckon LDG has been working in Korean entertainment for a very long time, much longer than JY so he'd have known the consequence when he announced his new relationship with JYH only 2 months after break-up with his ex. This time, I feel LDG must really want to get married and have kids perhaps his portraying as LDJ and the whole Wolgyesu atmosphere make him want to have an ordinary but warm & loving family with someone who shares moments with him whether good or bad. So I won't be surprised if he and our JYH announce their marriage within this year that's why he didn't care about Netizens negative comments coz he knows what he's doing (hahaha a bit delulu myself but this ahjumma is full of hope ... a shining beacon of special love for them lalala)

BTW : I roughly googled his ex-girlfriends whom I have never heard their names or seen their faces before LOL but I think the longest period it was Han Ji Hye after that I don't know (while JY was 2 years?)  he probably has no ideal type but there is one thing in common; they are tall women ..

LOL i didn't do too much chingoo in translating korean hahaha! woah now that you said that i hope so too that they're not trying to mock them or  someone is being sarcastic since the title of the movie is "Trial" hehehe It's nice to know that LDG isn't affected by the netz' neg comments, i think he or JYH shld not bother with them, after all it's their life that they shld be focusing on & forget what others say right?

So it was in Dec when they broke up! i hope J's fans won't throw stones at me but altho she's also pretty i guess JYH is more mature N closer to LDG's age! i liked that chingoo you're using TP sharp perception....hahaha I agree maybe LDG being now 36 yrs old is more or less ready to get married & the drama is surely a blessing for these two to hv met...as they always quote in kdramas --- destiny! I have never been a fan of a Korean actress/actor before...not even SJK/SHK from Descendants of the Sun makes me head over heels over them...but since I watch this two...LDG-JYH on TGOWTS, I fall in love in first sight LOL

And yes just like what we all said before, a group of ahjummas who crossed their fingers, arms, legs, hairs, whom their prayer heard and like winning a lottery ticket which is DAEBAK...LOL

Exactly my point too @hibiscus23 the atmosphere of a family couldve been his trigger on confessing his feelings to JYH (or the opposite? COuld it be JYH who confess first? Ahahhaa...However this news still brightens up my day, but like @pimsucre said above...why AM I investing in their relationship so much? I feel like I will go to Seoul for their wedding even just to see a glance of them will make me so happy (delusional, obsessive) LOL

But all lasted for quite some time. I do think he and JY broke up even before december.

about his ex ..(I mentioned this a few times) I think JY is the prettiest and seems to be one sweet girl (though her clothes are sometimes too revealing and her dance is a bit sensual! perhaps idol artist style) I can't imagine how a man wants to break up with her EXCEPT too many differences in personality?!? or she can't give up her career to marry LDG if this is a case then it's a mutual break-up.

I still wonder why he didn't wait a bit knowing well this will trigger all hostility EXCEPT they decided to get married for real soon.

ME TOO .. he just can't sit straight and tend to lean towards her .. also in a group photo .. he must stick to JYH every time haha while other couples may go at different directions. @pimsucre I have been wondering the same thing too. As a long time LDG fan, I was surprised that they announced their relationship (considering they've been officially dating for only 1 week). I wasn't really into his relationship with JY because for me she was just too young for our Oppa who's in his late 30s already --- hence I wasn't even aware they broke up last December (or announced their breakup last december).

My only theory is that they're really serious and thinking about marriage this time. Considering they're both of marrying age, they couldn't care less about what the public will say at this point.

Although it was too hasty IMO, I believe they thought this out and I support them

EXACTLY my feeling as well! Some fans speculating that they announce their relationship because they were getting caught dating/riding in the same car after the wrap-up party, what do you think? but somehow I didn't sense it that way. I hope it is the one that @szne09 and @pimsucre think...hopefully the reason is -this is the time to start a real family-

- In the farewell party, JYH said in the interview with Entertainment Weekly, the host was asking "anything you want to say to LDG since you both didnt win the Best Couple Awards?" then she said "I want to say thank you for taking care of me and let's play in another drama and win the best couple awards!"

- I read on JYH thread and saw her interview somewhere on Youtube, about 3 yrs ago she stated that she wants to get married when she is 35 (this year!)

- As we know Wolgyesu drama is a warm, family drama which portrays a simple, happy life. I think this also became a reason of LDG to start a family soon, and this lovely woman stand before him, 8 months of filming, there you go...

By the way! KBS award! The slant? Yes LDG's head was always 45 degrees to the left, and not to mention his blushing face and his loving gaze to JYH when she was up there on the stage...and how he really took care of her, even escorting her to the proper position for the final photo session. Oh well the evidence were straight in front of our eyes LOL

OH but why JYH looked so gloomy on KBS volume Instagram. If only she could read this, pls be happy, don't care about the others might think about you two!

My conclusion is that LDG is more into JYH than she into him.. She is more reserved in your behaviour and she mentioned that LDG wasn't her type during the Happy Together show so I believe he really did improve on her and she began seeing him in a different light... She doesn't have any private life scandal before and know officially admitting their relationship must be a big step for her and I believe she is prepared for the backlash from JY fans..

I agree that JY is way too young for LDG so most probably the passion died off and both may not have any similar goals given their big gap difference. I believe both LDG and JYH are ready to get married anytime and start a family.. She is good for his image and career and will be his solid support..

I don't think their photos appeared on Dispatch is the cause, not at all .. I don't think they really care because it's very normal to offer your friends or colleague a ride. They are adults of 30-ish years old, and they are not Kim Tae Hee and Rain or Lee Min Ho or some famous idols. They are well known but not that A-list actors so they are much freer to live their private life. SO I have a strong feeling that they will make it real this time .. he announced his break up in December and 2 months later he announced his new relationship with JYH.  Who in the right mind would do that EXCEPT they're going to tie the knot soon ... (me into LALA Land mode ... a woman can dream )

I remember when I watched KBS award last year, I really sense a romantic vibe esp from LDG but at that time I thought he was in a relationship with JY so it could be my biased view haha .. now everything becomes clear.

@delphinium8593 believe it or not me too, as i watched DOTS (actually i hvnt finished & not sure if i continue) SJH/SHK altho they're both attractive for me, i never felt this enthusiasm as i have been feeling with LDG/JYH i dunno really! i must admit when i first started watching them in Tailor (albeit i've watched JYH once in the Scandal drama with i think LDG's ex ironically) i wasn't so taken by her but as the drama progresses and their bickering was kinda mellowing in the drama, i got more & more in love with these two! LOL ...........jongmal DAEBAK! HAHAHA

chingoos am just rdg some of your comments and i think with both their age so close only 2 yrs apart maybe LDG was enlightened that he'll be better off with someone like JYH who's more mature and at a marrying age! Did you guys notice most K actors/tresses don't seem to marry young? look at Lee byung hoon he was in his 40 but LMJ only in her early 30s i guess and many more like Ahn jae Wook who was already 42? when he got married. What i'm getting at is this is the time already for LDG to walk down the aisle but of course he can't walk w/out JYH it's gotta to be JYH hahaha.

@szne09 ah i didn't hear about CYR is she an actress or idol group? maybe you're right they may hv broke up in dec! seeing LDG so happy during the awards night sitting beside her maybe at that time he's already feeling something for her! i hope we don't get thrown stones by the J group but she's way too young for LDG & JYH who's 34 or 35 is a match made in heaven for him!

In seeing them in HT if you recall they had this reenactment if you will of LDG's scene in LIP (btw hv u guys seen Lovers in Paris? if not u must, that was the drama that zapped me in liking him hahaha) where LDG placed his co-star KJE on his left chest, uttering 'you are inside my heart' i think JYH was v uncomfy/shy if i may say so hahaha.

chingoos @pimsucre u can't go to Seoul w/o us so if we ever hear their wedding let's all go & celebrate with them hahaha that wld be really great! yeah me too delu delu of course hahaha Now u made me really wanna go to SK hahaha (been there yrs ago & it's a beautiful country). You know i think we all wondered too why we're investing so much w/them? the answer is: THEY'RE WORTH IT....BC they seem to be good people to begin with! Who confessed first? it reminded me of their scene in ep 23 when NYS asked DJ whether he had feeling for her, then DJ was so shocked that he dropped a coffee cup haha who know JYH may bluntly ask him in her NYS style and LDG may blush and then confirm his feeling why I have this feeling that many of their conversations and story in Wolgyesu made from their real personality.

That would be a great idea .. all of us in Seoul with a banner read "Soompi International (obsessive lol) fans for Donghee Couple Forever" or some wordings more sophisticated than this .. LOL

woah chingoo who cld forget that scene eh? at that time DJ was i guess too embarrassed to admit it but he was indeed attracted to NYS already hahaha mind you their script in that drama was shall we say some sort of 'tailor-made' hahaha as if it was meant for them!

Annyeong my lovely chingus! I've been really busy but have kept up with the forum and all the stuff online and Instagram. Had so much to say but kept wondering when I would be able to start typing here rather than on dreadful work docs! I was sooo excited I told one of my best friends (who doesn't watch the drama) about LDG-JYH and she congratulated me.. Lol... now where do I start???

I think it's really lovely that LDG got flowers twice for JYH. She hasn't had a boyfriend for some time and adorable JYH deserves to be in love and to be romanced. This is one aspect of LDG I like. He's romantic and I'm glad he's not holding back. In past interviews he has said before he's happy to express his love rather than hide it. And in fact in the drama (the beach scene ep 29), there are lines between YS and DJ about expressing love. YS says thank you for teaching her to express her love. Back then I couldn't help but think that the writer must've kept up-to-date on LDG's interviews and real-life beliefs as that line agreed with not only DJ but LDG. Also felt it suited JYH because my instinct tells me that even though she appears blunt and expressive, and has decided she wants to be more outgoing/ cheerful in her 30s, she is very guarded about her own true feelings. 

You know that cute sound that JYH made to pacify the baby (just before LDG got 'steamed bun's' powerful spray jet in his face)? That sound is just right for pacifying a baby! It immediately made me think of how she would be great with babies since she can make such sounds and since she's practically a dog whisperer in real life. Dogs love her, I believe babies would too! Actually a long time ago (maybe in Nov?), I had started to wonder if LDG had ever thought of life with her and her 7-9 dogs. He'd better like all her dogs!

I really enjoy watching their HT episode and I've watched it many times over. What I really like is how even though she started out being critical/honest about him, it really was clear towards the end that she liked his sense of humour and in fact, HIM after all! She laughed so much at his "a gf doesn't make the cart mine" punchline (he was paying her co-star service) as it showed he was careful not to hurt her feelings and also his 'i'm cold' repartee to her 'I'm hot' whining. And of course, she admitted her heart fluttered at his "u're in my heart" re-enactment and she was quite affected by his swift picking up of her hand. All this is very innocent of course. I think it's very natural that you have good feelings or feel attracted to someone and continue to keep things casual. I definitely could feel the chemistry even then. This explains why even then people who shipped them posted their HT photos as the chemistry is palpable.

I was sure LDG liked her at some level then, not necessarily in a romantic way, but just 'like' in its simplest form. I can't think why he would bother teasing her otherwise (wave at her from the cart and also wait for water to drip on her?). And he laughed real hard about it. My peers and I had a school reunion recently and found out that 4-5 guys in the same class had used different tricks to tease and bother the prettiest girl in class. Only 2 of the boys had in our school days as 12-13 year-olds confessed to her that they liked her. Now 20 years on, all the guys who teased her/ did silly, annoying things to her confessed they actually had a crush on her.  And JYH had actually asked 'i don't know why he did that to me'. It's a natural reaction from JYH (she expects guys to be gentlemen, of course) but I found La Miran very perceptive in HT when she said LDG is very charming, funny and that he teased JYH as that's his way of getting to know someone better.  Even though he did frown at times at her bluntness and even went "hwah" at one point, he was his usual LDG well-mannered self, keeping his cool. Before this becomes an essay, let me round up with 2 more points on the HT palpable 'good feelings' thing.

-- LDG has always been aware of JYH's existence. He knew her age. Well she's been in showbiz just 3-4 years shorter than him and yeah co-starred with his friend LJW. She was in a lovely MV with his ex-gf HJH in 2004. (You could watch that MV 'Gwanghwamun Love Song' by Lee Soo Young but be warned, you will have some heartache as it's a bad premonition" I was down for a while because of that but since "happiness and fear both come from the heart", I choose HAPPINESS and will pray for LDG and JYH!! All the way! ) Anyway, I got reminded of how JYH's co-star from MHGAF, Lee Hee Joon said in an interview in 2012 that anyone would like JYH, that you would have to be a robot not to like her. But haha of course i found it funny that the HT hosts said LDG was like a robot! But anyway, isn't it sweet that LDG has always known of JYH's existence but only now after more than 10years only got to know her?

-- LDG didn't do the Lovers in Paris line to JYH at the press conference, instead he did it to LMR. LDG was probably too shy to do it to JYH and "escaped" by doing it with LMR instead. That's how I'm reading that! But I like how he did it very quickly in HT. I'm sure the hosts/ director had told him they would get him to do it her. JYH looked very surprised though. But he totally killed it and charmed her!
