Lee Jong Suk said he’ll probaby get red and sweat a lot during his speech, but that it's nothing to worry about.

He said he always feels a bit burdened by these awards, especially because in his opinion, he has always been receiving them a step too soon.

He apologized to his fans for not always being able to thank them, for staying by his side through his 20s. He said he's turning 30 soon, and that he would continue to do his best moving forward. (credit jun2yng )

Suzy said she didn’t expect to win such a big award, and thanked the viewers of “While You Were Sleeping” as well as the staff who worked so hard on set.

Suzy said that every time she wins an award, she still gets really scared because she knows she still has so much to learn, and that she isn’t the best at handling the weight of the position she is in.

She said she isn’t the best at giving accepting speeches, and used to quickly retreat off stage, but promised to thank everyone today.

Lee Jong Suk Admits He Actually Fell In Love With Suzy

Suzy and Lee Jong Suk‘s amazing chemistry shined in the real world as much as it did in While You Were Sleeping. Even though the series ended, they just might make everyone seriously jealous.

 

Suzy and Lee Jong Suk won 2017 SBS Drama Awards’s Best Couple prize for their portrayal of Nam Hong Joo and Jung Jae Chan.

They gave a lovely acceptance speech, thanking each other for their great performances, even joking with MC Shin Dong Yup about how they developed feelings for them from time to time for the drama.

Shin Dong Yup: While being immersed in your roles, did you actually fall in love a little?

Lee Jong Suk: Suzy is the most beautiful woman in Korea. I fell in love from time to time.

Suzy: Because Jong Suk oppa is so good looking, I could really immerse myself in the role.

Their chemistry continued to the backstage as revealed by SBS’s Entertainment News Hanbam. Asked about their win, the two joked with each other as though they were a real couple.

Suzy: Jong Suk oppa might just be a chemistry fairy.

Lee Jong Suk: Did you have some drinks?

 

Seeing as how easygoing they are with each other, it’s really no wonder that the two won the Best Couple prize this year!

'While You Were Sleeping' stirred up the most buzz for dramas in 2017

 

SBS drama 'While You Were Sleeping' was one of the hottest drama topics in 2017.

According to results by Good Data Corporation on January 2, 'While You Were Sleeping' took the most tallies for total buzz overall, as well as weekly average buzz and finale buzz.

Furthermore, the drama starring Suzy and Lee Jong Suk have topped the charts for a total of four consecutive weeks.

Other dramas such as tvN 'Goblin', JTBC 'Strong Woman Do Bong Soon', SBS 'Suspicious Partner', JTBC 'Youth Generation 2' and KBS 'Confession Couple' also recorded 1st place for three weeks in a row.

KBS 'My Golden Life' ranked 2nd in the Overall Buzz category, followed by 'Suspicious Partner', 'Temperature of Love' at 4th place and KBS 'The Weird Father' at 5th.

Meanwhile, in the Weekly Average category, KBS 2TV 'Fight My Way' took 2nd place with 'Hwarang' coming in 3rd, 'Suspicious Partner' next in 4th place and 'Defendant' at 5th.

Lastly, 'Confession Couple' ranked 2nd place during the final week, with 'Some My Way' trailing behind 3rd, 'Defendant' in 4th place and tvN's 'Secret Forest' ranking 5th.

We’ve had a wonderful year of K-dramas in 2017, with solid entries in varying genres. There were strong female leads to root for, romantic male leads to swoon over, vulnerable villains to love-hate, fantastical stories to captivate us, and beautiful cinematography to ogle at.

 

So in an attempt to honor all these dramas that have accompanied us through the year, that have been with us through thick and thin; that have comforted us during hard times or just put us in another world for a few hours, I give you a superlative style round up.

This list (in no particular order) is more fun than authoritative, and aims to spread the love and include as many dramas as possible. So feel free to nominate your own dramas in the comments below!

While You Were Sleeping: Gives you everything promised.

 

FANS Review: 

 

While you were sleeping is an easy watch with great cinematography. Without the visual or cast support the show might not have been as appealing. First two episode of the show set the tone between the characters and bring them together. 

 

'While you were sleeping' is a must for all Lee Jong-suk fans. The fact that he is part of the show means it is going to be a good one. The actor has always been known for working on great stories. Apart form him Jung Hae-in and Bae Suzy have managed to bring the story to life. 

 

One of the best thing about the show is that , it does not focus only on their love triangle but all family dynamics and friendship they share. The villains in the story are straightforward, dark and self centered. We do not need to care about at all, it is really reassuring. But I am not sure, if Yoo Beom should be considered as a Villain, to me he could be something I call an anti hero. He has shown remorse towards his ways and work, but has made no efforts to change. His constant lying and cheating finally brings him to his end. Spoilers!! JAIL.

 

Though the show manages to maintain the story-line through out and give some answers towards the end. It does leave us with question. Since their childhood links, i kept wondering if, Han Woo-tak has any childhood connection. He didn't!. Reconciliation with Choi Dam Dong (Kim Won Hae) and happy ending for all characters was really a satisfying end, in spite of the questions left hanging.

 

What the show does not do, is provide the fantasy based answers we were looking for since the beginning, Why does Hong Joo have these dreams in the first place? Why do Jae Chan’s dreams only start up once he comes into contact with her again, and not when she saved his life 13 years ago? Do the other, random characters that they saved also develop the dream ability? 

 

Even with all of these gaps the show manages to keep us engaged with their simple, natural love story and suspense of the dreams. After the first few dream sequences it becomes easier to predict and read the dream, but the few twists they have managed to showcase, when Jae Chan gets shot in the middle of the road kept me going.  Of course, The green umbrella wasn't a big of a reveal as expected , but the solution was they found was promising enough.

 

Verdit: Over all, I enjoyed the show as much as I expected to enjoy it after the first few episodes.

I love the drama, but not enough to buy the Director's Cut.  I liked it a lot, but it was the OST that spoke to me.  It is fantastic.  I probably will get a DVD version, and be content with that. ^^  I save my Director's Cuts for the ones that I'm going to regret... and I did miss a couple, because I didn't have the money at the time. :'(  Oh well.  I own it, and try to accept it.  It's the only thing I can do.  Still, so glad I got the OST for this.  Keep smiling!!!  Glad they did so well.  I think it was Suzy's character.  She is getting better, but still not quite there.  Just my though.  Nobody kill me. ^^
