So cutie pie MinHyuk fell in love at first sight with the pink girl way back then when she saved him my total guess...It's intresting that we've got the idea from were Bong Soon's power comes from,that is passed from generation to generation only to women and if used in bad ways or personal gain it will vanish and the sign for that will be missels...That's why her Mom told her to be careful with her strenght,that if she is to hurt an innocent she will loose it just like her and end her fate aka married with her Dad,as she clearly blames loosing her powers with ending with her Dad ...Also it's intresting that her Mom doesn't really like Gook Do's Mom,more likely she is envious of her,not to mention her husband is having some kind of innocent infatuation with her...I love Bong Soon,she is soo sassy and confident yet she also is all about the truth...Maybe as she was raised to be cautious of bad deeds as she will loose her strenght she is all in about truth...Found it hilarious her staring contest with MinHyuk and the Secretary as well,as she was so much confidence i bet no one could beat her in a one on one starting contest...Gook Do is also intresting as he is quite rough around the edges...On the more serious side of the show,i really felt sad for that poor girl who that lunatic killed...I got the impression that he knew Bong Soon's Mother and maybe even her yet for some reason he doesn't attack her yet...Maybe he knows her strenght or knew her Mom back in her infamous days(heard off)....I love how Bong Soon considers herself normal and her strenght part of that normality as she tried to see the next day after her brother told her she might loose her powers after the incident with the gangsters and when she saw she is okey,she said "I'm normal"...I love that MinHyuk was kinda smitten by her and even called her overconfidence "Sexy",curious how will he react when he'll realize she is the girl from back then...A very fun episode and tomorrow looks even more fun...

Also the first OST is out by Eun Ji of A Pink,i'm sure many of u know of her and it has so many spoiler scenes,it u don't want to be spoiled don't watch!!!

Yes I was going to say that too. White chrysanthemums are used for funerals in my culture too. Whomever he was going to visit has already passed away which I think has emotionally scared him. He did look rather sombre and for a chaebol to go on a bus to do this must mean that he is doing it without his familys consent. Otherwise he could arrange his own driver to take him.Oh does this mean it is someone very close to him as Im sure they need to know his plans before they decide to tamper that bus. Or it could be a bus which he regularly catches to visit that person.

I have watched the raw version and laughed so much. Imagine what a riot it would be once I get to watch the sub. So, they have exceeded their targeted rating of 3%? Look like there will be the lucky 5 who would be escorted soo by the Park-Park couple and maybe Ji Soo too.

In general I noticed that late slots work well for cable dramas especially at the weekend ( Goblin was an exception). In fact this helps those on the main networks as well. The 8pm shows for instance suffer as many are out or not back home fr work (Friday ).

Having said that, I do not take away the fact that JTBC has generated enough buzz. An unusual story line with a non-stereotypical female protagonist and not to mention an exciting ensemble of young leads seem to be the formula for success. Although Ratings don't matter much to me, it's a great encouragement to the production team & cast. 

Here's hoping the show will continue to impress & draw in the numbers.

That's awesome news! I'm so happy for the cast and the crew - they all deserve it! Fingers-crossed it won't drop tomorrow or next week (just look at what ahppened to Tomorrow with You or Shy Boss) and the drama will go strong during its whole run. Though, in the end what matters is that the story can keep its high quality until the end.

8PM dramas are currently facing stiff competition because that's the time when people watch news (News block is typically either 8 or 9 PM).

I once read that JTBC had thought of moving their primetime newscast on a different slot to place their drama block at 8, directly competing with tvN. (Their primetime newscast previously aired at 8PM, Mon-Thu and   7:40 PM on Fri/Sat/Sun) But historically, it proved risky because even when tvN still has their dramas at 8:30, and although JTBC always get netizens' attention, tvN Dramas always win against JTBC in terms of ratings. 

JTBC's news ratings are on the roll after their expose that kicked their country's president out. They can't afford to move it to an earlier slot, or put it head to head with KBS' primetime newscast, just to accomodate the drama. Besides, no one airs dramas at 11 PM, as almost all networks air variety shows. So, they move their weekend news from 7:40 PM to 8PM and their dramas from 8:30PM To 11PM. And it looks like it paid off. JTBC still beats the hell out of MBC and SBS in news, and their drama rated well!

My theory is that the 11PM slot is just temporary. Maybe they are using this opportunity to build JTBC as a full pledged general television network, not just as a news and entertainment source. They might soon bring back their dramas at an earlier slot as they establish a stronger foundation as a network.

That's very enlightening info there. Thanks dear. It's nice to see the cable networks giving the big boys a run for their money. I'm a big fan of cable with 4 out of 5 the dramas I'm watching now coming fr these networks. Fingers crossed for this drama. Happy watching!

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon has finally arrived and it’s exactly like its two main leads - unconventional, warm, quirky, funny, unpredictible and more than meets the eye . As the first episode goes, it’s everything I hoped it would be and more, despite the fact that many scenes were shown in the previews and teasers.

In the opening scene we meet the male lead, Ahn Min Hyuk, during his high school days, driving on a bus with a bouqet of white chysanthemums. But he is not your typical kdrama male lead. It’s HIM WHO FALLS  FOR HIS MYSTERIOUS FEMALE SAVIOR! It seems that the girl is his first love and he keeps dreaming about her even 10 years later; HE EVEN PAINTED HER PORTRAIT which he keeps hidden in his closet (combined with the fact that he founded a company creating games it's probably a hint MH has artistic talent)! Now, suddenly the whole thing about the rumours that MH doesn’t go out with women (which leads people to think he is gay) makes total sense - HE IS THAT CHARACTER PINNING AFTER HIS FIRST LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! Doesn’t that remind you of something?

I didn’t expect it but SWDBS really does give me the My Love From Another Star vibes - the story is of course  completely different, but the OTP dynamic and parallels are undeniable there! Min Hyuk is Bong Soon’s Cheon Song Yi - and he does really remind me of her - sassy, self-confident and with a seemingly devil-may-care attitude but warmer and more approachable; he might not have super powers but he still manages be utterly badass.

Then one day he literally meets the girl of his dreams again and he becomes completely bewitched by her without actually knowing its her! Because that superhero montage of BS with wind in her hair and walking like the awesomest thing that has ever awesomed is actually HOW MIN HYUK SEES HER (since BS wouldn't actuall walk like that because in that moment she is worried about the consequences of this 'little' display of her powers)!
