‘Doctors’ behind-the-scenes photos reveal Kim Rae Won’s charming side

The romance between Kim Rae Won and Park Shin Hye's characters in the SBS Korean drama "Doctors" has made avid viewers swoon given the two protagonists' sweet scenes together.  Latest photo stills from the drama have shown how the lead actor was able to convey his character's feeling with just a glance.

 

Actors and actresses are usually faced with the challenge of making their acting believable so that fans and viewers will be able to relate to the characters and enjoy the drama or movie. When romantic scenes are filmed, there are times when actions speak louder than words and a simple look can mean a lot. In "Doctors" episode 9 that aired on Monday, July 18, Kim Rae Won's impressive acting ability was on display as he effectively conveyed all the love that his character Hong Ji Hong feels for Park Shin Hye's character Yoo Hye Jung with one glance.

Latest behind-the-scenes photos for the said episode released by Pan Entertainment on Wednesday, July 20, showed the sweet scene where Hong Ji Hong brought Yoo Hye Jung with him to his and his father's fishing spot, Soompi reported. In some of the photos, Kim Rae Won's character can be seen looking intently at Park Shin Hye's character. He even had a slight smile on his face and his glance appears to show how much he loves his former student.

Netizens also noticed the said picture and commented on Kim Rae Won's acting ability and how much his character adores Yoo Hye Jung. One viewer mentioned that Hong Ji Hong "must love her a lot to look like that," while another viewer wished that someone would give her the same love-filled look, as indicated in the same report.

The 20-episode SBS drama "Doctors" has already reached its halfway point on Tuesday, July 19, where episode 10 ended with the first major conflict between Kim Rae Won and Park Shin Hye's characters since they reunited at the hospital. The drama has also posted a rise in ratings for episodes 9 and 10 that aired on July 18 and July 19, as compared to the previous week's ratings.

Data from Nielsen Korea has shown a slight increase in nationwide viewership ratings at 19.4 percent and 19.3 percent for episodes 9 and 10, respectively. The drama's nationwide ratings for the previous week was at 18.8 percent for episode 7 and 19.2 percent for episode 8. Meanwhile, viewership ratings within the Seoul metropolitan area for episodes 9 and 10 were at 21.5 percent and 22.6 percent, respectively.

"Doctors" airs every Monday and Tuesday on South Korea's network SBS.

My favorite OTP Moment;

1) Running in the Field. Played it for so many times, it give me a warm feeling..I feel the connection between the two.

2) Dancing in the Rain. Sometimes its nice to put down your guard and enjoy the moment. Like Soon hee said "lunatic person" LOL.

Oppsss. I have to stop, my list its going longer…Actually I love all the scene of our OTP and hoping the next 10 episode (one month) will give us the most memorable experience. Until then..Lets Enjoy..JIHYE is Love...

I recall reading an interview where KRW said that JH loves HJ deeply and acts as her "daddy long legs" -- that is JH's expression of love for HJ while HJ being the survivor that she is doesn't want that kind of relationship-- she wants them to be equal that as he looks out for her, she also looks out for him. They should face their problems together, consult each other when making decisions. 

HJ already expressed that she wants to solve her granny's case in her own terms and JH could've asked her before meddling. 

So in all I'm not really bothered by the ending of ep10... Just another thing they need to sort through before they finally (officially) become a couple. And I'm happy HJ actually said the word love twice this ep-- she knows she loves him (clearly defines what love should be to JH) and will only choose to love him but she sets the terms to what kind of relationship she wants them to have. Clearly she's not afraid to love anymore (unlike her running away in the rain kiss).

She already stopped running away. She moved towards him (chased him to hold hands to comfort him). 

Now it's his turn to move towards her again... Run after her!

HJ really shakes JH world with that ending confrontation on Ep 10. Kind-hearted woman who despite a horrible past, took control of her love life as well   No one has ever talk to him like that before.  She is not “JUST a Dr. Doctor” but she speaks her mind and she clearly indicates that “I don’t do love that becomes a nuisance” 

Sooooooo looking forward to see JH confronting his feeling to HJ and to start sharing his past with her
